Really nice restaurant, great service and food but it can get very hot in the summer!!

we had a lovely meal at Caminata. everything was fresh and the service was excellent.

The food was absolutely delicious, the atmosphere was intimate but buzzing, and the service was great. We are lucky to have this lovely restaurant as our local!

I am only marking this badly because our table was cancelled that afternoon because they couldn’t fit us in. You shouldn’t let us book if the table is not available. I went to speak to caminata and they were polite and apologetic, however it did leave us in a mess on a Saturday night as it was too late to book a table somewhere then and it was for a birthday meal. I usually really like caminata.

This restaurant never fails do deliver a beautiful meal. Food, wine and atmosphere was great as per usual. My favorite place to eat in the area!

Friendly and welcoming. Superb food and service. I was so impressed by that the manager introduced us to the chef. And for the fellas a waitress who is a dead ringer for Katie Holmes!

La Caminata is a fantastic restaurant. I've tried most of the pasta dishes on the menu and enjoyed them all. To top it off, the staff is super friendly and welcoming.

Great food, they do stone baked pizzas and homemade pasta. Service was very friendly. Proper rustic Italian and the wine selection was great. Recommend to go!

Nagyon finom volt a pizza, mint ahogy a Lasagne is. Pörgős, olaszos, kedves kiszolgálás mellett. Érdemes asztalt foglalni, mert hétköznap este is tele van az étterem.

As always a superb experience. Their pizzas are the best I've ever had, in particular the charcoal base. The beers they have are excellent and the service is superb too!

The service was amazing (as ever). It was my girflfriend's birthday and they brought a cake out as a surprise for her. The food was fantastic. I redommend the Al carne pizza.

The food was amazing and fresh, the pasta is made fresh in the restaurant and tasted divine. The surroundings were quaint and authentic. The service from the moment you step in is 10/10, whether its giving recommendations to attention to detail and quick service, this was a really lovely restaurant to eat at, I was thoroughly surprised.

Nice ambience in the restaurant, but tables very close together. Food was good but nothing special, and a bit expensive for what you got. Melanzana nice but aubergines slightly chewy. Seafood pasta not as fresh as it could have been. Good beef carpaccio. Service fine, but perfunctory. Overall decent meal but left slightly underwhelmed.

Caminata never disappoints. Great food, service and atmosphere. Also have some new items on the menu - even more reason to revisit very very soon!

Service was outstanding, so helpful and fast. Almost too many delicious sounding options on the menu, I'm just going to have to keep going until I've tried them all. The restaurant was recommended to me by someone who had lived in the area and I was not disappointed. It was made even better by the fact it's on tastecard.

A bit of a local institution, and rightfully so! Fabulous service, delicious food (amazing pizzas!) and a decent wine list - my favourite Balham restaurant. A great atmosphere and you're always really well looked after

Excellent, friendly service and gorgeous food. The menu has lots of choice and includes gluten free options. We went for a birthday celebration and had a great evening.

All in all, I couldn't fault the food, or the service. But I asked for my pizza to be made on the new charcoal dough, and unfortunately this request was forgotten about. Also, i believe they use garlic oil instead of garlic butter, and it meant the garlic bread wasn't that 'garlicy.' I'll definitely be back though, as the waiter was very apologetic about my pizza, and took it off the bill.

I had a girls celebration for my birthday here , I have been twice before and love the genuine Italian welcome and freshly prepared food .It is in every bodies price range and everything tastes delicious .Only one comment to be negative from one of my group which was lack of a different type of desserts from the usual ! ( they offer Typical Italian desserts that are lovely though ! )Good night was had by all .

Great experience as always with Giovanni and his team. Fresh and traditional local Italian cooking and hospitality at its best. We keep going back, as do many others in the Balham area.

Great pasta, with a decent range of vegetarian choices. We were left alone too, not pressured to leave quickly. Maybe the desserts could be more varied or imaginative. A really good local restaurant.

This is one of my favourite restaurants in Balham. Lovely atmosphere, really welcoming and relaxed. Excellent at catering to our coeliac guest- the staff were very knowledgable about gluten free and could adapt dishes as necessary.

Lovely freshly made pasta, amazing food and atmosphere, never felt rushed to leave, waiters helpful in recommending both food and wine at a reasonable price, would definitely recommend.

My family and friends had a amazing time! The atmosphere was calm and romantic. The personal was friendly and professional, answered any questions we had regarding the menu. The service was quick! And most important the food was amazing and freshly cooked. Definitely recommend the restaurant. Will definitely return.
