Chamuyo Argentine Steakhouse

What a find! We had a family outing to see my daughter who has just started at uni in Brighton and I chose here based on reviews of the good. We were not disappointed. We have the sharing mixed steak and it was delicious. All four types of steak were excellent - tender and beautifully cooked. Great chips and salad and very reasonably priced. The service was outstanding and we were very impressed when my husband tipped red wine over my daughter ( by accident!) and the staff rushed to help with paper towels and vanish spray.. They were so caring and lovely. This was a really good restaurant and we will definitely be back lots over the next three years.

Lovely table with a birthday balloon already there 🙂 excellent service, excellent food, we had the chorizo and calamari, both delicious and a sharing platter. Shout out to Emily who did a brilliant job. Would definitely go again

Have been to Chamuyo a few times now and it never disappoints. The food is just so tasty and the steaks are so so good. And the staff add to a good dinning experience, Kayley( i think that's right) who was front of house and serving was first class

Unfriendly greeting at the door, chap seemed cross that I had booked last minute. Waiting staff were great - friendly and conscientious. Order was taken promptly and drink and food delivered in good time. The kitchen seemed to have problems making sautéed spinach, delivering a tiny bowl or raw spinach twice, before I gave up and cancelled the order. Waiting staff were quick to apologise and gave me a glass of wine on the house to compensate. The chimichurri sauce was disappointing - very oily with no hint of chilli and large chunks of garlic which was the only discernible flavour. Overall an okay meal, but not great and definitely overpriced. I wouldn’t go back.

Came here to celebrate my partner’s belated birthday on 09/08, as we’d had a good experience before and were looking forward to a great steak and solid service. Unfortunately, this visit didn’t quite live up to expectations. We ordered a mid-range bottle of Malbec (£46), but were surprised not to be offered a taste once it was opened — especially given the price point and the wine list. When it came time to order food, we’d already made our choices, only to be told (in quite a rushed and slightly annoyed manner) that the dishes we wanted weren’t available. When we asked for a bit of time to rethink, the waitress seemed even more frustrated and just walked off. Thankfully, things picked up a bit later on. Kayley, who took over our table during dessert, was really lovely, friendly, smiling, and even brought our pudding with a birthday candle, which was a nice touch. One slightly odd thing was that, towards the end of our meal, a few staff members started eating their staff food in the same area we were seated, which made it feel a bit like we were in a staff break room. Not a huge deal, but it did take away from the overall dining atmosphere.

Schönes gepflegtes ruhiges Ambiente. Excellente Steaks. Perfekt zubereitet. Super hochwertige Weine zu sehr akzeptablen Preise. Geschulte aufmerksame aber nicht aufdringliche Bedienung. So muss Gastronomie aussehen.

We had an amazing experience Chamuyo Brighton. The service / staff were amazing The drinks were great The steak and lamb shank were perfect plus great sides!

My wife and I ordered 2 steaks, a 350g fillet, medium-rare and a 250g sirloin, blue. However, the fillet arrived blue and the sirloin was medium-well, so we just decided to swap because we were in a hurry. Both steaks were absolutely drowned in salt, to the point of almost being inedible. The fillet looked like a nice cut of meat but was totally ruined by the seasoning, which wasn’t optional, and got cold very quickly due to being blue instead of what I asked for. The staff got some other things wrong despite the place being very quiet. These were not complicated orders.

We had a family meal on a Tuesday evening. I really liked the size of the restaurant - nice and intimate. Most of us had steak and the feedback was, without exception, fantastic. I thought my rib-eye was as good as anything I have had, and I live in the USA! Good service amd sensible prices for wines.

Been here 6 times now and we are not locals to Brighton but come here specifically to attend this restaurant. Their Steaks are just amazing ! ... They're so full of flavor cooked to our specific tastes and oh so juicey. My family & I love coming to this place & so should anyone else who tries this restaurants culinary offerings. Thank you all at Chamuyo We will be back soon ! x
