Our visit was lovely all staff were friendly the bar waitress was exceptional, great vibe and atmosphere, the food was really nice, I had the fish pie the only criticism is that it would have been nice to have some veg with it for the price you pay, but we will definitely be back to sample the fish and chips ☺️

Service at bar was slow Rushed 8.09 pm table but bar service was slow then told last food order 8.40pm and food not great will not be returning

We didn’t stay, not a great welcome. Took 10 minutes to be given menus, quite busy with only 2 staff, who didn’t seem that organised, so we left.

I was really looking forward to dining at Chapter. Unfortunately I was disappointed with the main course. The lamb shank had been well cooked, however, it hadn't been heated but just placed onto the plate with the gravy. However, the cauliflower cheese was cooked beautifully and tasted lovely. The tiramisu was outstanding. The service varied, but the server who was very attentive out shone some of the others. Perhaps my experience would have been different on another day!

My friend and I both had the three course meals which were excellent. Staff extremely pleasant and very efficient. We will certainly book again. Excellent value.

Every bite was bursting with flavor! The ingredients were fresh, perfectly cooked, and beautifully presented. You can really taste the care and creativity that went into each dish. From the first bite to the last, it was a truly satisfying experience. Highly recommend to anyone who appreciates great food – I’ll definitely be coming back for more!

Good family lunch with reasonable service on a busy day. Selection of desserts was uninspiring, so not all of us had one. Something with fruit or chocolate would have tempted us.

It was a lovely visit, the staff were kind, polite and attentive and we all enjoyed our food. We didn't find the carpark and were on a 2 hour maximum parking space. The restaurant wasn't busy and it took nearly an hour to get our food to us. I understand the overheads you have, but I did bulk at £17 for a large fishcake resting on some brassicas and a mild sauce. If I could afford it, I would go again. Thank you.

Our friends and we really enjoyed our evening at Chapter. our friends' and my first time here, but my husband's second - and we all enjoyed the food, the atmosphere, service was excellent. A great place to celebrate a special occasion!
