First visit for a meal. Special occasion for mother’s birthday. We ate from the set menu and food was delicious. The waitress, a very friendly young lady, was polite and helpful and we would return as our experience was a positive one. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals and would recommend this restaurant to our friends and family.

Lovely restaurant for breakfast, a good range of locally sourced food. Especially the field mushroom and bread. Very nice restaurant to visit before the farmers market.

The food was lovely and fresh, host was fantastic too. A wonderful experience.

No table as booked when we arrived so one was carried across the restaurant. Food was fair, lobster no complaints but house salad was mainly leaves and 2 halves of cherry tomato. Bill was plonked on the table before we asked for it , office door was open with coats etc plonked outside on a chair. Felt like we were in a premier inn reception, really disappointed after reading the other reviews.

You always get a very warm and professional welcome as soon as you enter this amazing restaurant. The new revamp menu offers different choices when it comes to what you want to spend and that gives great flexibility. The food was fresh excellently prepared

My first visit to chapter- food was average but service poor. We were a party of 4 one of which was gluten free - I emailed to let them know in advance. When we arrived were were given a set menu and I asked for the a la carte menu but told by the young waiter - no we are pushing this today! Not the kind of reply I expected! I wasn’t informed if this when a member of staff rang me to confirm the booking. There wasn’t a lot on this set menu that was gluten free so this was the reason we asked for it. A very nice waitress then gave us the menu and we had a nice meal but I’m not sure I would go back- nice decor but the place is lacking something sadly .

Great food, great service! The lunchtime 1, 2 or 3 course menu is varied and very reasonably priced.

Family birthday party for Sunday lunch. All the food we ordered was excellent and very good value for money. They even prepared a meal for one of us that wasn’t on the menu. Service was good and restaurant had good vibes. Highly recommend a visit Keep doing what your doing Chapter !!!

The foods were nicely presented and tasted delicious. I ordered mushroom tart and Sea Bass with leek & risotto. They were all good and strongly recommended for some special occasions.

Lovely place, the food was good, we were offered an alternative bottle of wine to the one we ordered. The reason given, they had ran out. To our horror, the wine turned out to be more expensive than the entire meal for the three of us. As we had no idea of the cost of the wine until we got the bill. It actually spoiled the celebration and experience for us
