Great food that tasted and looked amazing! Service was friendly and quick. Only slight complaint is food and coffee wasn't that hot... Setting was nice and good atmosphere

We really enjoyed our first trip to Checkpoint. I'm looking forward to trying out the brunch menu sometime in the near future. Nice staff, good food, definitely returning!

Ordered a Caesar Salad. Chicken looked incredibly unappetising, as if it was shavings, and tasted of mushroom. Sent back to the kitchen, and ordered pancakes with maple syrup and bacon as a replacement. Pancakes were thick, heavy and very stodgy. I have had many great meals here before, but whoever was in the kitchen on this day, clearly wasn't loving their work. Unlikely to return.

Excellent food, wine and coffee. Wide choice of food options and good to be able to mix and match choices. Nice chilled out afternoon lunch, top stuff.

All good - service and food brilliant! Table was ready when we arrived and we were able to promptly order drinks whilst waiting on friends. Good choice of food and friendly service

Ununfriendly lady servant, we had to wait for a very very long time for our orders , backed eggs without bread, we will never go there again!

Last work Friday before Christmas the restaurant was full but the service and quality of food was first class. Really helpful staff who had helpful suggestions for their best beers from their (extensive) collection. Reminded again what a great place to eat this is. Recommended!

Great food served all day long. Nice light sandwich options and a great dinner menu. Giant portions of bread and dips. Only criticism is that the service is a bit slow.

The staff were attentive and prompt. The place was not crowded, was spacious and had a nice ambience to it. There was free wifi. There was a lot of choice of food in the menu and the food tasted great!

Food was great, very good atmosphere - clearly a very popular place, even at lunchtime in January! Worth a visit, service very good even though busy. Interesting daytime menu, not sure about night time one but will be back to try.

great halloumi chips. ordered the halloumi chips and harissa tomatoes sub and it was good and very filling. Friend ordered the sesame bun with hollandaise chicken, which was also filling.

Had a lovely lunch here, food was arrived quickly and tasted great. The service and atmosphere also made for an enjoyable time. Would highly recommend.

The surrounds and atmosphere are wonderful at Checkpoint. The food and menu are fab, the only thing lacking is the services, its a tad slow and inattentive.I have been here many times and look forward to returning very soon.

Lovely place with a nice relaxed vibe. There is good variety on the menu, so we were able to order a good interesting mix of meals, food was delicious.

The food was disappointing and bland and the service was terrible. I would not recommend this place - was really disappointed and won't go back

Unfortunately we received the wrong drink in our first order, part of a starter was missing and when we brought this to the attention of the waitress she went to get the missing item but it never it materialised. One of our main courses was stone cold as if brought out of the fridge and placed on the plate. It was reheated but the rest of the table had almost finished theirs by the time it returned. Not a great occasion.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We were well looked after by our waiter, Thomas, who served us well but also engaged in a bit of banter. He advised us on both food and wine. We were very impressed and will return

Another breakfast at Checkpoint, another lovely experience. I had the smashed avocado on sourdough (yum!) whilst my friend had the trout benedict (yum!)baby both were superb!

Food ok. Service terrible. Took ages to order drinks and for them to come. Then take order. No starter as coming with main? No apology almost argumentative. Mains came no offer to refill drinks etc. Sat for ages before I had to get up request bill and then get Upto pay. Clueless. Won't be back

Fun atmosphere, with really good food and service! Sweet potato fries are delicious and the portion sizes are generous. Looking forward to my next visit!

Understaffed. Had to ask for water twice, remind them to bring our wine - waited 45 mins and had to leave before food arrived which was disappointing as the menu sounded fab. Manager was kind enough to give us wine on the house.

Food that came was fine, but service was really poor. Forgot a side dish and still never brought it despite being reminded four or five times. Eventually gave up on it altogether. Not enough staff for how busy it was, or not trained well enough?

Great place, great food. Service v friendly but took 1.5 hours to get simple order served. Will be back but only at quieter times of the year (not Festival)!

Lovely place! Always good service, greta food and nice atmosphere. Good for breakfast, brunch, business lunches and early dinners with friends. Spacious and cozy. Highly recommended!

Delicious food, good value. Wasn't busy but took a while to get served by the waitress - otherwise everything was great and once our order had been taken the food arrived quickly.

We thought the food was nice, and menu has large choice, all quite healthy sounding, however I wasn't too impressed with the welcome, especially having booked, I was just gestured to finding a table. Service average, no spoon with my soup and had to ask twice for some water. There only seemed to be 2 people serving and the place was full, so I guess they were a bit busy.

Really nice space, helpful staff, interesting menu with more choice than the usual, but a simple burger option there too. Our food took a long time but we were compensated with a free drink without having to complain, so it must be an exception. Great service

Great imaginative menu - very good choice for vegetarians. Friendly, unhurried staff. Interior space used well, including a metal box which worked well. Espresso martini was perfect!

Reservation was for 3 people. We were placed around a table, which would have been adequate for 2 but was cramped for 3. However, there were other tables available, which could have accommodated our party better. The beer was good but expensive for the size. Food and the service were good.

Great food and service once again. The avocado florentine has quickly become one of my favourite lunches (with a side of delicious sweet potato fries)! Already planning my next visit!

Had a great experience at Checkpoint. Went on a Sunday evening for a relaxed girls night out at around 6:30, the place was quiet and we got a table by the main window. Service was quick and the girl serving us was extremely patient and nice. We had the house white wine which was OK (not expecting much for the price) and shared the mussels with chips with my friend. Our portion was big enough for two and one of my friend's starter was more like a main (laksa noodles I think), so ask before you order :) A great experience overall, would recommend it.

Worth a visit - interesting menu, relaxed decor, good value. Plenty of options for carnivores and vegetarians alike with a drink menu to suit most palates.

Modern interior. Friendly relaxed team. Food wasn't as warm as I would've of liked but made up for that in taste. Good value for money

Love this place. Great staff and great food. The menu changes all the time so it's fresh and exciting. They even make their own peanut butter ice cream!!!!

Light, airy, and stylish with a menu to match. Great lunch options and good coffee are the icing on the cake. Staff are quick, attentive and polite. Price-wise very reasonable. Expect to pay around £8 - £10 per person for lunch. Excellent value.
