What a lovely place. 3rd time family and I have been when on holiday from Aberdeen. First class food and service. Very relaxed and friendly. Can't wait to go back!!

Friendly staff, pleasant and comfortable dining experience. Catered well for a party of 8 apart from one item not being available from the menu on the night. Very well priced and our only regret is not having room to sample the dessert menu! Will be back and would definitely recommend.

Booking on line was easy, all of the staff were very attentive and polite, service very good, good intervals between courses and there was no encouragement by the staff for us to vacate the table when we had finished our meal. Overall, an excellent restaurant.

great food, problem in kitchen caused a wait but they were very good keeping us informed ,going out for dinner you should not be in a hurry i think.

Very lovely posh restaurant, with good service and great presentation of food. And of course, the food is very tasty and always cooked well. Good to visit for special occasions!

The restaurant lovely, service fabulous, but food wasn't fantastic. Could well have been what I ordered, but spare ribs with little meet and abit too "gloopy" source in main course.

Service and food excellent! Very clean and welcoming decor. We were lucky enough to have been given a table in the window so enjoyed our meal whilst watching the world go by. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

Excellent! One of the best Chinese meals I've ever had, and I've had a lot! Very friendly service. All 6 of us dining thought it was excellent.

We have been going to China Town for many years and love the decor and the ambiance. The quality of the food is excellent and off good value.

We wished to have the pre theatre special which was shown on the menu. When we arrived and tried to order we were told it was not available due to a "management decision" My "customer decision" is not to go back, in any event the food was distinctly average.

Food and surroundings are very good, and the service was good but rather slow, took ages to get the first round of drinks. Waiters very friendly but not enough of them. Didn't mind not being hurried but took too long with the drinks.

We were undecided between 3 and 4. The food is definitely good (the bamboo not to my taste, it was more sour than I am used to, but this is a matter of taste. all the rest was very good and good quality) but the service was slow beyond any reasonable timescale that one might expect. It took 3 hours for a three course meal.

Delicious food, good service and at a reasonable price. Always consistently good, every time I've been there. Conveniently located a short walk away from Haymarket station.

First class what else can be said. Food excellent service excellent nothing is too much and never ever rushed, very relaxed atmosphere, menus are filled with great choices.

We enjoyed a lovely meal in pleasant surroundings. Very friendly place and good food. Restaurant catered for children well. Would recommend China Town to others.

We have been to this restaurant a couple of times and has always been lovely. However on this occasion the standard of chicken in the dishes were poor. More like processed meat. The service as always was very attentive although we had ordered a banquet and they forgot two of the dishes. Overall we had a lovely evening.

I went there for my granddaughters birthday and she said it was the best she had tasted service was also good I would recommend it

Lovely freshly cooked food and very friendly staff who welcomed us warmly after we had been to a rugby match at Murrayfield - even though we arrived 10 minutes before they opened!

We had a fantastic evening. The food was superb as was the company. We had one big round table which worked really well. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone. The service was impeccable.

Excellent , lovely food ,great service, beautiful surroundings and atmosphere, excellent wide rangeing menu with plenty of choice and competively priced will definitely recommend it. Will visit again next time in Edinburgh

Good selection. Tasty well presented dishes. Pleasant and attentive staff. As an ice cream lover I could have chosen (and enjoyed) nearly all of the desserts. Will definitely be back again.

The place was very busy so service was a little slow. Food though was superb as always, which is the most important thing for us, so can put up with the wait.

This is an excellent restaurant with an extensive menu. The service was excellent and attentive, but not intrusive. All food was cooked to order and the mussels starter with chilli and garlic was a particular favourite. We were a party of 8 and all plates were cleared. We will definitely return.

Reserved a table for 7, called up and they let us change it to 7:30 with no issue. The restaurant was atmospheric, however music could have been louder. We were greeted on arrival by a very polite waitress and the service continued to be great, with excellent food which was served at a good speed after ordering and between each course.

They did not have our reservation!!!!!! However, the staff ran around and found us a table. Friendly staff but obviously understaffed as it took FOUR HOURS for our meal. Great Food, nice staff. The lady (manager?) kept apologising and offering us some free dessert but we were full and very tired by then and just wanted to leave. So.... would go back, but not at Chinese New Year.

Visited this restaurant many times over the past few years - good atmosphere and always made welcome. Service is excellent and and coupled with good food always makes for a good experience.

Nice food and friendly staff. The service felt quite hurried and a little frantic though, which meant the meal was over and done with just a bit too quickly.

This was the fourth time I have visited China Town restaurant and it lived up to expectations - good food, attentive staff and plush surroundings.

Really enjoyed our meal here. Great food in lovely surroundings beautifully presented by very attentive but not intrusive staff. Have no hesitation in recommending it. Will definitely be back

We celebrated our wedding anniversary here with a beautiful meal yet again. The service was excellent and you always feel very welcoming. Best chow mein ever!

Nice restaurant. Staff courteous and friendly. The food was very good, the service was a but slow, but as we were in no rush it was not a problem. I would recommend this restaurant, but book ahead, it's busy.

This is a really nice little restaurant, situated right in the heart of Edinburgh with superb food at very reasonable prices. I would highly recommend a visit.

Soup was the usual boiled thick soup , we had the hot and sour soup n the mixed seafood soup . The latter is delicious , the former passable but we were diaointed that there was no authentically Chinese double boiled soup . Peking duck has a generous serving but skin not crispy and the wrap is too thick and doughy . The most disappointing was the wanton noodle soup . Noodle is soggy and the filling of the wanton has a wierd texture , only the soup is acceptable. Dining environment is pleasant and service was commendable .

Best Chinese Restaurant in Edinburgh food first class. We come here quite a lot and have never been disappointed. Friendly Staff and would highly recommend it.

First visit to China town and was very pleased food was lovely reasonably priced excellent choice and staff were very welcoming and courteous will definitely be back. Highly recommended this restaurant.

Great food and and wine. Very friendly and nice people. At walking distance from Haymarket station so easy to get there and short walk to city centre
