Chisou - Mayfair

Service was slow and the hamachi usu wasn't thin and cold enough. However, staffs there has always been friendly. Disappointment in food and slow services.

Good quality, varied menu and reasonable prices for quality and location. Try out the specials which always offers something different, authentic Japanese. Do not forget the range of sake on offer

Excellent service. Very attentive and efficient. Chicken teriyaki good but a some pieces had a bit of gristle. Sushi special set luch excellent. Overall a really good lunch

I had the set lunch menu which was perfect. The service as always is excellent. The food is always fresh and tasty, and the service is always very quick. Recommended.

The sushi was underwhelming.. not bad, but not a place I'd seek out again. Their Spicy Tuna was a bit interesting as it was curry flavoured (the first time I've had that!)

Nice food and helpful staff. Only issue is we heard that the time was limited when we went. It is good for customers to know it in advance.

Incredible food and even better service. The Chisou rolls and aubergine were particular highlights and the staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful, with excellent knowledge of sake! Very different vibe to somewhere like Sticks and Sushi - very relaxed with an emphasis on the experience being based on the quality of food and service than jazzy lighting and decor. We'll be back very very soon

Sushi was delicous and staff were friendly. They also catered well for our gluten free diner with no fuss. Would definitely recommend as a good option close to Oxford Circus but with no crowds!

Great food - fantastic sushi, but a touch on the expensive side. We paid £50 a head without any wine or beer. Good location near Oxford Circus

Authetic Japanese restaurant. Very fresh sushi - nicely cut . Variety range of sake to choose and came with delicates sake cooler. Also try the desserts you will not be disappointed.

Overall good quality, although pricey and hot dish selection somewhat limited. Restaurant was smaller than expected, so make sure you reserve to secure a table

Good at all. The price is average level in this area with excellent surrending and warm hospitality. The sashimi collection is a good choice. The plum wine is great and strongly recommend.

Nice place for a girlie lunch. We had the sashimi set with additional tempura this time all very nice. The set lunches are all good though... And service is good.

The portions were very small for the price and they were unclear about what each dish contained. The service was just very slow. Would not go there again for what I had to spend.

Very good food, but waitresses too softly spoken & was hard to hear in noisy room. Tables very close to each other, so difficult to have any privacy.

Delicious sushi, great presentation. Great service as always. I keep coming back for the delicious food and great atmosphere. Whether you need a slow food or a quick pre-theatre bite, they do great. It is not cheap, but extra quality sushi has its price.

Great service, great food, would definitely recommend it! Cosy little place close to the tube station making it easily accessible and we were greeted upon arrival and seated straight away. The staff were very attentive and made our experience very pleasant.

Really authentic Japanese food, amazing sushi and the melt-in-your-mouth saikyo black cod was beyond palatable. Nice ambiance, wide selection of wine and other drinks- great dining experience overall.

excellent restaurant with freshest ingredients. Salmon pieces are very tasty and traditional. Services are very considerable and sympatheque. You need to prepare to wait for several dishes but overall the environment is quite good.

Typical Japanese restaurant. Good sushi - but the rolls are sooo good! Try the signature Chisou rolls. We had the Sugoi Maki which was excellent! Service very friendly, reasonable price.

If you want a break from chain sushi then go to Chisou. The food is excellent, the chefs/waiters/waitresses are attentive, and the ambiance is smart but not overly formal. It does come at a price though.

Lovely staff and delicious food for a good price. Nice, expansive menu and there were additional seasonal options, as well as some Valentine's weekend specials.

It was the first time my partner and I had been to this restaurant and we were not disappointed. The staff were friendly and helpful, the food was amazing and we had a great time.

Ok, but just ok. Very pricey for what it was. Left the restaurant still hungry but unprepared to spend more. Service was fine but unremarkable.

Food is quite good. However we arrived at 9h50 pm on Saturday evening and we had the impression to be a nuisance. We had to order very quickly, decide the dessert on the fly without having the chance to look at the menu, and at 10h45 they brought the not-yet-asked-for bill and started removing everything from our table, a clear invitation to leave. The bill had a (theoretically optional) 12% fee automatically charged as 'service' or enforced tip. I do not think we will go again.
