Chutneys Restaurant - Wimbledon

It was very quiet on a Thursday evening before Bank Holiday, perfect for us. Food was great as usual.

Food was plentiful, service a little slow and as there was only one other table dining, atmosphere was a little lacking

Finally visited Chutneys in Wimbledon after moving here 6 months ago. Was not disappointed, booked a table just in case but arriving at 8pm on a Friday and there were a couple of tables still available. Service was friendly, attentive but not in your face. Food was delicious and the menu varied but with good descriptions, we chose two chefs specials and enjoyed them very much. Portion sizes were generous and breads were fresh and well made. I will definitely return!

Had a very enjoyable evening. Nice food, and friendly staff.

Food was really good. Service was good up to the point of food being served and then we sat with our empty plates and no drinks for at least 20 mins before having to ask for the bill. It was rather busy as a table of 12 lads came in and most tables were occupied. The guy who we believe was the owner was just standing at the bar not assisting any of the staff which we found quite bizarre. We would return as couldn't fault the food.

Food was amazing. Would definitely go again. Had a lovely Valentine's day meal with my boyfriend. Food was delivered quickly. Flavours were spot on. Staff were very friendly. Reasonably priced. Looked really nice inside. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to friends and family in the Wimbledon area.

Amazing restaurant, wonderful food. Known the family for years and they are the best hosts. Toilets need to be redecorated! But overall such a lovely evening.

Delicious food and excellent service but white wine dreadful! Luckily tasted the £19 Pinot Grigiot and nearly spat it back in the glass! Tried the £25 bottle and settled for it, not wanting to make any more fuss, as staff lovely but it wasn’t much better. Thick head from it this morning. Not a wine snob but please buy in some palatable white.

As per usual, we had excellent service and excellent food! Great atmosphere and never rushed. We come here every Christmas for our annual lads meetup, as we now live all over the place. I love this restaurant, highly recommended.

Excellent food and service. We’d booked for 7.15pm so missed most of the noisy diners arriving later. There wasn’t a table left free by 9pm, a sign of how good it is. I’ll be back...

Great service as normal. It all just flowed as normal, from the popadoms though to desert. We wasn’t rushed, the waiters are great and polite defo 6 stars

Very good food and good friendly service. Lots of dishes to choose from. A regular visitor. Would highly recommend to eat in the restaurant or take away.

We have been here before and enjoyed our meal, but last might we were a bit disappointed that we had to wait over half an hour. It was busy, but it's still the longest we've waited.

Oh yes - great food and nice atmosphere. Loved the special dishes and the overall experience. Will definitely return next time I am in the area!

Excellent service; the atmosphere inside the restaurant was terrific and all the food we ordered was fantastic. Nothing was late or rushed in front of us. We all had a great night.

Good restaurant. There are lots of choices on the menu with plenty of specials as well as the usual curry favourites. Staff are welcoming and attentive.

The restaurant is right behind the main shopping street in Wimbledon. Atmosphere is pleasant, decor attractive. Small glitches in service (papadoms didn't arrive) are well compensated by the quality of the cooking. Best Thali ever!

One of our regular Indian local restaurants. Consistently good food, lots of choice and good service. Friendly atmosphere. Would recommend. Also does takeaway and collection.

I assume 6 is excellent an 1 is poor? Would be helpful if this were explained. Otherwise, very good restaurant. Prompt service, reasonable prices. Would recommend.

Really like the restaurant, friendly staff delicious food and plenty of choice even with desserts. Very good value. The restaurant is smart and very clean.
