Clockworks is a very nice place and a place you would like to come back to. Unfortunately for us this time the food didnt work out. The starter was interesting a bit different but ok, the main courses were not as we had hoped. My girlfriend had seabass which was ok, i had porkbelly which was cooked to much and become very dry. So actually not very good. A little shame,, we have said we would like coming back and hopefully the chef has a better day at work :) because the place itself nice and the service very good. So keep on with good work at Clockworks.

Unfortunately we never got to experience this restaurant as they telephoned the day before to say they'd had a flood and wouldn't be open for a few days. They were very helpful in suggesting alternatives and we will try them next time.

Mainly positive -- helpful barman / waiter with advice on drinks and food -- food was very good -- venue was pleasant but lacked a little atmosphere probably due to it being a Wednesday lunchtime and not many customers possibly due to all the building work being undertaken around Clockworks. Will go again maybe in an evening.

Fabulous breakfast. One of the best I've ever had! Great value and extremely friendly service. Don't be put off by the construction outside. It's like a haven inside.

Great restaurant with delicious food and friendly service. Love the decor, though they could add some more things like brass pipes and pressure gauges etc for more of the steam-punk effect. The automated phone service was the only pain.

Limited menu and a starter and main was also taken off as it had sold out so only had 3 starters and 3 mains to choose from. They had also sold out of cider so not a great start. On plus side food was good and service very good.

Fabulous breakfast - eggs benedict was lovely. My parter had the full English and that was great too. Lovely surroundings in a converted industrial building. Would definitely go back.

Great off the wall place , lovely atmosphere. Great service , cheerful and friendly team . Food was delicious, one little issue with delay with one meal . Couldn’t apologise enough , offered a drink on the house and thanked us for being understanding. Would visit again if ever in Liverpool and will recommend to family and friends who are visiting in the future .

Outstanding food and service! A gem of Liverpool’s independent scene! Will definitely be visiting again! Very reasonably priced with 2 mains, 2 desserts, 4 Gins and a bottle of wine coming in at only a little higher than £60!

Nice ambiance. Enjoyed the Sunday dinner special. Plenty of food served hot and fresh. Mash potatoes and roasted potatoes were an excellent surprise. Gravy was very good. Tried the sticky toffee for desert. It was very good

We went as a couple for breakfast- we both had 'The Butcher' full breakfast and it was enourmous! I reckon it's the best breakfast in Liverpool and at £8 a go and £2 for a good, strong Americano I think it is great value for money. All of the food was good quality, hot and well cooked. The service is friendly and attentive and the place is beautiful. Thoroughly recommended

Presently hidden in the middle of a building site, this pleasantly distressed pubby building is comfortable when you find it. The staff are friendly and enthusiastic. Black pudding "bon bons" that they raved about were crisp, but slightly cold in the middle. The roast dinner was generous, with good roast potatoes, though the reheated gravy was very very salty.

Had a brilliant time at Clockworks, food was lovely, staff were really friendly and the atmosphere was good. Location was so close to Liverpool One but was off the beaten track and the square is currently been regenerated. Great to go somewhere that wasn't a chain restaurant. Loved it!

Lovely food, not an extensive menu we had the lamb which was to die for. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is a bit difficult to find due to building work taking place opposite. Will definitely be going back.
