The quality of the food is fantastic!!! The service is also excellent, particularly with regard to adapting to my very specific dietary requirements. I’m very limited in what I can eat when I am dining out, and the staff went out of their way to ensure I could enjoy a delicious meal without feeling anxious about asking for what I needed. I can’t praise this place highly enough and we are booked in for my birthday!

Had zuchinni and halloumi starter and prawn chilli starter and both had the trout main. Everything fabulous great service would definitely go back!

We booked about an hour before. The service was excellent. The food was great a thoroughly enjoyable evening. You MUST book as it is a small restaurant.. Will be returning when next in York.

We loved this restaurant. So small and intimate with a lovely host. We were immediately made to feel welcome and the food was superb! (especially the sticky toffee pudding. my fav) We will definitely return on our next visit to York :)

The restaurant is tiny, 16 covers, 6 tables max so I would definitely recommend booking to avoid disappointment. We had the set menu priced at £21.95 for three courses from which there is a choice of 4 options for starter, main & dessert. Only one vegetarian option though. The food was fantastic, freshly cooked to order, service friendly & efficient. Couldn’t fault it, highly recommended
