Everything was good and tasty. Would prefer to have the option of a thicker fillet steak, even if that means a higher price.

There is a cosy atmosphere in this small restaurant but the music is too loud for the space. Although the food was good (we ate lamb and steak) it wasn't exciting and the accompanying vegetables were overcooked & tepid. Very overpriced for what you get & the starters were tiny. Excellent service though.

Cosy little restaurant with very friendly staff. Tables very close together so fine if you enjoy being sociable.

Very small however the lamb was the best lamb I have ever eaten. Would recommend this to anyone who is visiting York. Will definitely be going again if I visit York again

This restaurant was much smaller than I expected, however it made it all the better. So intimate and personal, the service was amazing. The food was one of the best meals myself & my partner have ever had. Will definitely be back and recommend highly.

Place was nice and cosy, service was good, but food was just a little bland.

Truly an amazing dinner. There were 8 of us in this quaint restaurant and received great service the moment we walked in till we left. Food and service couldn’t have been better, and food was served in a reasonable time frame, especially with this size group. I would highly recommend this restaurant and plan on going back the next time we are in York.

We had a fantastic meal! Everything was perfectly cooked and very good quality. My mum is one of the fussiest eaters I have ever met and even she really enjoyed it! It was my second time visiting and my parents' first. They have already told me they want to eat at CGH again when they next come to York. Top marks all around!
