Côte Barnes

Good as expected, and the restaurant was particularly spacious and smart.

This was the 1st time we had been to Côte Barnes, altho' we've been regulars at other Côte restaurants (Parsons Green, Fulham B'way, Oxford Circus). We liked the Barnes edition especially for the setting (view over the Pond and Green), the space and light. As usual, the food was beyond reproach and is excellent value. The service had a shaky episode when the French Onion soup was served tepid but quickly recovered as the soup was replaced by a new piping hot portion and not charged for. A thoroughly enjoyable Sunday lunch !

Very nice food and attentive service. I had the beef Bourgogne with mash and green beans.which was scrumptious.i also find Cote reallybreliable. We will be back.

Had the early evening, three course set menu which was excellent and outstanding value. Staff were super friendly and efficient. First time visit to a Cote and was very impressed.

Lovely decor and atmosphere. Service very good, attentive but not OTT. Food was good value for money and arrived hot and timely. The only issue was we went before the theatre and there was a noisy table of children nearby, but it was bearable. Would return again.

The whole experience was made lovely by the waiter who served us. He could not have been more helpful, and polite. The food was excellent, as was the wine.

We were fitted in at very short notice and given a great table near the window overlooking the pond. Very good food and service - thank you.

Cote has such a good menu...there’s always plenty that I’d fancy ordering. Today’s lunch was delicious in every course. I have to say that the star of the show is always the sublime creme caramel, but everything else was good too... very good. And the service was as excellent as ever. Just the right pace. I always leave with a warm glow having eaten delicious food and having been wonderfully served.

Set meal was good value - stingy on the croquettes ;-)

Your team in Barnes were fantastic I normally eat more often at Parsons Green where I go after playing bridge at the Andrew Robson Bridge club & enjoy. but Barnes did not disappoint

We had originally tried to book at the Wimbledon Cote and could not because of the size of our party. We then booked at the Barnes ( London ) Cote and got several emails from Cote saying they regretted not being able to accommodate us at the original site . When we got to Barnes on the night the manager greeted us with another apology and gave us the best table that they had. Very good service on the night as well. Highly recommended.

As always a great meal with excellent service. The manager on duty is so welcoming and she makes it a pleasure to dine there. Our favourite Barnes restaurant!

Good attentive greeting. Food was a let down. October specials of crab bisque soup (cold and without croutons and cheese). Haddock over cooked with Luke warm sauce. Front of house staff good but serving cold food not so.

As always Cote in Barnes was brilliant. The perfect place to go for lunch.

My meal was ok but my partner’s steak from the ‘3 courses for £19.95’ menu was tough. And the Sauvignon Blanc tasted, he said, like boiled sweets. It certainly was nothing like the Marlborough Sauvignon Blanca we usually drink. We come to Cote Barnes every month or so as we like the atmosphere and the food is usually good quality and good value. This was neither. What has changed?

Even though I had booked in person, we were still able to get the complimentary aperitif, which was lovely as it was my mother's birthday, so we had that before the wine. The early evening menu is always excellent (a la carte generally a little disappointing). We visit at least once a week as it is at the bottom of our road and good value for the quality. The staff know us now and are friendly and helpful. I just wish the a la carte dishes were as fresh and tasty as the set menu. Sometimes I want a big plate, but at those prices I don't like to take the risk,

Not the best Tenderloin and somewhat overcooked but that apart it was fine. Service excellent especially Francesca.

A delightful evening where we could hear each other speak and where the staff were attentive without being over bearing. Our guest much enjoyed his dinner as did we.

Good food, good ambiance, attentive service. A reliable local restaurant where you know what you are getting.

We were the last to leave... and the staff was great!

The food was mostly very good. It was pity that my wife’s sole Meunière was burned black & overcooked on the second side, only found after eating the first side & turning it over.

Always consistent, lovely menu of crowd pleasing dishes, great service, good wine & the profiteroles are ace - perfect, easy Friday night supper venue with children and adults and indeed grandparents.

My partners chicken dish was dry but they gave some money off the bill which was great. Lighting was way too stark and some music would’ve been nice.
