Côte Basingstoke

We had a great time service was particularly good. Food was brilliant.

We were a party of 7 and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meal- steak frites was succulent, steak cooked to perfection, corn fed chicken the best chicken we ve had in a restaurant so far , waiters ver professional and friendly. If you want quality food at a reasonable price, this is definitely the place to go. We will definitely come back there for another delicious meal .

Celebrating a birthday - We ate mazing food & had great service - the moules were simply esquisite - could have had them for my starter & main - everyone enjoyed everything - we will be back!

Food was great, but service wasn't up to usual standards. We waited too long to place our order, and the waitress was rude when we pointed out that she had forgotten our juices.

Polite, friendly, informative, romantic. Even gave us a complimentary glass of bubbly when learning it was my birthday, and seated us in a delightful position on large bench table normally suited for 4 - 6 people, but as it was late still gave this to us despite just being the 2 of us

Burnt burgers,no sauces,1 meal arrived 10 mins after the rest

Food was fantastic and the atmosphere was good. Felt like you were on a restaurant abroad not Basingstoke which is a good thing! Will definitely be returning!

Have been on quite a few occasions for dinner and breakfast! The food is great the staff are friendly and nothing is too much of a problem!i am booking again soon for lunch with a friend!

The food was tasty but 3 of my party had mussels and felt ill afterwards. So this rather spoiled our birthday celebration.

I’ve been to Cote on several occasions now and have always had a great experience. Staff are attentive and friendly and the food is always exquisite. Would highly recommend. Book well in advance!

Lovely evening. Food very good. Bit slow at times but that was more than made up for by the offer of a free drink all round. Customer service was excellent.

6 guests for an evening meal on a bank holiday. Starters were fine, no complaints. Waitress was attentive as was the manager when we arrived. Main course, 4 not a problem. Mine was fish and plate was stone cold as was the veg but fish was hot. I sent it back and it arrived hot and the fish was excellent. My fellow guest had a sirloin on his plate and it should have been ribeye, it went back and sure enough another steak arrived this time i5 was cooked rare but stone cold in the middle. This time it was decided not to bother. The manager did come and talk to us and did his utmost to please us and rectify a bad situation. I think he excelled and will certainly go back for that very reason. I would also recommend this restaurant to my friends too.

I booked on line for a party of 7. I quickly received an email advising that I would receive a call within 48 hours to discuss our requirements, I did not receive a call and therefore we had not had confirmation of our booking. I did receive a call 30 minutes after our booking time to see if we were due to arrive at which point we had made alternative arrangements. Poor customer service, especially as we had previously turned up without booking and was turned away as you could not accommodate a party of 6 without prior booking! I cannot therefore review our meal as we are yet to actually eat at your restaurant.

Am excellent little steak. Served very quickly by friendly and obliging staff, despite the fact that they were very busy. Convenient for pre theatre or concert meal.

Annoying music, food below standard, bit expensive for the amount on the plate, poor attention to the preparation of vegetables. In fact we were not jumping for joy, Fortunately I saw the added gratuities and knocked them off. CWW

Fantastic food and lovely service. I had the Tuna steak nicoise which was really tasty. Also try the April aperitif. Yum. We always enjoy going to Cote.

We have done as a couple and a large group and felt very looked after. The food is lovely and the staff so helpful. My mother-in-law chose Cote brasserie for her 86th birthday because she enjoyed it the first time

We were a group of 13 ladies for a get together. We all misread the time on the prestige menu. We all thought it was available only until 7 but that applies only to Fridays. So we all chose from the prestige menu and enjoyed our meals. Service was perfectly fine, once our order was taken. The restaurant was quite busy when we arrived so we had to wait quite a while before anyone came to take our order.

Disappointed with the evening. Aspects of the meal was disappointing. Saving grace was the good service provided by our waiter (David).

We have visited the restaurants either in Basingstoke or Winchester. We now have the resturant in Basingstoke and we are local to this resturant. . It has a fabulous atmosphere, the staff are lovely warm and friendly plus knowledagble of wines and food. The food is always of a high standard, whats there not to like! We are not afraid to recommend friends to the restaurant as the the quality of the food and the welcome received are consistent. Ros and John Clement

The food was very tasty. The fish parmentier had lots of fish. The chicken supreme was lovely. The pommes rissoles were crisp and flavoursome. We had a lovely meal and the two nabagers were friendly and helpful. .

Had the best experience this evening at Cote - it was very quiet (given the circumstances) but honestly such lovely staff, amazing food and beautiful atmosphere. Really should be showing our support for the hospitality sector who are still working so hard over this uncertain time. Massive appreciation for all the staff tonight being so attentive and cheerful.

It was very quiet and a difficult time due to Covid19 but we were treated well and the food was very good too, we will be back, when we are allowed! Good luck to the team, during these difficult times.

My friends and I rated our experience at Cote as excellent, in terms of the food and the wonderful service. I have one little niggle - when I booked I was not given accurate information about how far we needed to walk to get to the theatre. That's all!

The staff are so friendly and welcoming and deliver fantastic customer service, the food is delicious which all makes for a really wonderful experience.

Another wonderful dining experience at Cote Basingstoke. I have been to the restaurant in a big group of 7, a smaller group of 4 and just as a couple and it has been excellent every time

I have been going to Cote restaurants for many years and never had a disappointing meal. The service has always been exceptional too so I was overjoyed that Cote decided to open in Basingstoke...at last a change to the usual fast food places when I want to go with friends to the cinema or theatre or a girlie shopping trip. Cote have incorporated all the usual high standards in a lovely restaurant, beautifully decorated and furnished, with discrete ambient lighting. You could even imagine you were in a chic town in France rather than Basingstoke! We enjoyed a really tasty meal, ribeye steak and pork tenderloin finished with the ‘must have’ creme caramel that Cote do so much better than anyone else. We won’t eat anywhere else now.

A good meal with attentive service. Eating late afternoon the restaurant was quiet which limits the ambiance but we enjoyed the meal and will be coming again.

Had a lovely evening for my friends birthday, Champagne was flowing, service was great and food was delicious, compliments to the chef, 8 clean plates. We were the last ones to leave and didn’t feel rushed. Would highly recommend and will be back again 😊
