Côte Basingstoke

We were a party of 7 and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meal- steak frites was succulent, steak cooked to perfection, corn fed chicken the best chicken we ve had in a restaurant so far , waiters ver professional and friendly. If you want quality food at a reasonable price, this is definitely the place to go. We will definitely come back there for another delicious meal .

My wife's soup didn't come out with the starters. Server didn't mention the option of sauces to go with the steak. The steak lacked flavour. Management were really good.

Celebrating a birthday - We ate mazing food & had great service - the moules were simply esquisite - could have had them for my starter & main - everyone enjoyed everything - we will be back!

Great birthday meal. Waiting staff excellent particularly Emily lovely, friendly, attentive what more could you ask for. Will return again and again, our new favourite place to go!

Lovely food, service and a great atmosphere, will go again

I have been here many times but when you are busy you really have to shout. The waitress asked is she could take the bread basket and we said to leave it but she took it anyway.

One of the waitress staff was very rude, she forgot the ketchup and when we asked for it she brought it over and didn't apologise. We asked for some drinks and only took our sons drink order and then walked off. We were left very disappointed with the service from that young lady! She was sent from your Farnham branch we were told

Staff were excellent and attentive even though the restaurant was very busy the cheffing was outstanding well done the kitchen for the hard work in keeping everything to time with delicious food Definitely recommend and will be back a big well done to the whole team at Cotes

We had a fantastic meal yesterday, despite the restaurant being extremely busy, the staff were efficient and attentive. Will definitely be returning and would recommend to anyone

Our basket of bread was forgotten so we had to remind the waiter. However, we were pleasantly surprised that we were not charged for it, lovely meal!

Very disappointing, had to ask for knives and orange juice. Order came out wrong, had to send sausages back as cold and not really cooked and bacon very salty. Was looking forward to going but didn't live up to expectations.

Great service. Great food. A small mistake with dessert not arriving time But rectified with taking that and coffeez off of ouf bill and free kir royals on our next visit x. Would highly recommend

As always food and service excellent, good value and our son and his wife have put you down on their must go there again.

There is a good atmosphere in restaurant- nice and open and staff all friendly and helpful. We had quite a wait for our food but the manager came over to explain what was happening and then offered us all free desserts. Food was excellent.

Very comfortable, nice atmosphere and good food. Nice selection of food and wines, could extend beer/ale selection. Nice ambiance and like the booth seats, although other combinations of seating available.

I booked prior to going as it can get busy. The food was good with a choice of 2 set: menu s as well as a la carte. The food was lovely - I ate off the prestige set menu - French onion soup, half rchicken ( very moist with beautiful crispy skin) with chips and a pole crumble to finish. All for under £19. Excellent value. The staff were eattentive from the moment we stepped through the door until we left. Well worth another visit. My favourite restaurant when shopping in Basingstoke.

Can recommend the food which is excellent. Staff were welcoming and attentive. However, it is a very noisey restaurant making it impossible to make yourself heard without shouting. We also felt the evening was somewhat rushed with little time to relax. After seating, food and drink orders were quickly taken, food was speedily served and dishes cleared without delay after each course - great if in a hurry, not so good if you want to chill with a nice glass of wine. If you want a quiet relaxing evening then maybe Cote's not for you. Roger

This second visit was equally good as our first vist. Helpful, friendly and not too attentive service. Glorious menu where choosing what to have was the hardest part in what was a very relaxed and enjoyable meal. Portion sizes are just right, so I did not have to forgo a starter just to make sure I had room for a dessert!

Lovely staff. Four greeted us on the way in! Had issue with olives -oil rancid. Replaced. And some money knocked off total bill which was nice but not necessary.

Whole experience just lovely! Wonderful food great staff & great atmosphere! Cannot wait to go again! Went with a group of 7 girls to celebrate birthday. Great location in centre of town.

Some confusion at start about who should be serving us but once sorted it was good food, with speedy service. Well catered for the children. Will definitely return.

The service was inattentive and food was average. Really not any better than the initial opening days - very disappointed. We had to ask to have our order taken after waiting very patiently and trying to get attention on mains then the same for deserts. It’s like we were invisible!

Excellent menu and all very good except we were sat right next to the till, bar and waste bin counter, hence the low score on noise level.

This is the second time we have eaten at Cotes and we are very happy with our meal and service was excellent. The staff are attentive and very helpful.

Food was beautiful and atmosphere was great! We were left waiting a while after our mains before we ordered dessert, which could have been faster. Overall experience was very good and would definitely come back

Served 3 courses in 55 minutes( obviously wanted us out for a later sitting!!) not my idea of a night out . would have gone to Mac D if I wanted fast food. Noise level very bad real turn off. Shame as decor was nice , food very good and people were lovely. needs to improve for me to return as not cheap.

I booked on line for a party of 7. I quickly received an email advising that I would receive a call within 48 hours to discuss our requirements, I did not receive a call and therefore we had not had confirmation of our booking. I did receive a call 30 minutes after our booking time to see if we were due to arrive at which point we had made alternative arrangements. Poor customer service, especially as we had previously turned up without booking and was turned away as you could not accommodate a party of 6 without prior booking! I cannot therefore review our meal as we are yet to actually eat at your restaurant.

As always a very enjoyable lunch. A warm welcome from happy and efficient staff. My wife and I ordered from the "Premium" set menu. Different "starters" were excellent and then both ordered the roast belly pork which is consistently delicious. A reasonably priced (for restaurants) bottle of wine made a great accompaniment to the meal. Another attraction is the ambience of the restaurant, pleasant hum of conversation with no intrusive voices. A pleasurable experience all round.

Good value for money, ambiance was lovely. Would definitely visit again.

Really enjoyed the food. First time at a Cote restaurant and I can say I was pleasantly surprised with every course. Will have to come back soon.

Booked a table for 7.15 arrived early but was promptly seated. We had the drinks as part of the June offer. I thoroughly enjoyed mine. The food was fab. we had the roasted Pork Belly and Duck breast we added the mushroom sauce to our pork order ( try it) it is scrumptious.

Am excellent little steak. Served very quickly by friendly and obliging staff, despite the fact that they were very busy. Convenient for pre theatre or concert meal.

Third visit and received the same high standard of service and delicious food. One thing that I think differentiates Côte Brasserie from other restaurants I have visited are the portion sizes are just right. I can enjoy three courses and not feel I have over eaten or not managed to clear my plate at the end.

Absolutely flawless. The whole customer experience was brilliant. Reserved online, quick and easy. It was a birthday so entered into the comments that it was a birthday etc. When we walked in we were greeted by friendly staff and asked our reservation name and the first thing the host said was happy birthday! Following that almost every member of staff wished the birthday girl a happy birthday and we each got a complimentary drink. Food was perfect, service was top notch, the whole experience was some of the best service I think I have ever had. I can not remember our waiters' name, but he was ultra attentive and super polite. As someone who works in marketing/customer experience, I am acutely aware of these things, and I must say this is the best end to end experience I have had on the 'high street' in a very long time. Bravo Cote Brasserie, best dinner out in Basingstoke and a huge thanks for a very special birthday evening.

This was our first visit to Cote in Basingstoke and we were so impressed. Basingstoke really needed somewhere like this - a bit more upscale but still relaxed and enjoyable. The food was good but the service was outstanding. We were celebrating a significant birthday and were offered a complimentary glass of bubbly each, and the birthday girls were surprised with candles in their puddings. Our waiter went above and beyond to make the evening special. We will definitely be back very soon!

A lovely relaxed atmosphere but disappointed that for the price of the meal it did not include vegetables! Also disappointed no lemon cello a liquor to end the meal with!

Lovely meal as always, food is delicious had steak and it’s always cooked to how I like it. Service is very good.
