Always good service, staff are always pleasant and professional. The deals are good value, an addition of a bar would be great which means you could spend more time

excellent food as usual but the service from the kitchen seemed a little haphazard. We requested my daughter's food come with our starters but it arrived the same time as our mains.

We celebrated my husbands Birthday with the family. The waitress who attended to us was so helpful and made us feel really special The service was really good and we would love to return. Thank you

overall experience very good.... service was a little less attentive than usual ... ie had to summon someone to our table to order desert after a long wait after main course, but when service comes it is very friendly and efficient.

One of our party - their main course arrived considerably later than all the others. We'd had to start to stop ours going cold while we waited for his. Also his steak was not rare but medium when it arrived but we did not want to delay eating further by sending it back. Mushroom soup was too thick and goopy.

Popped in with my mum before heading off to the cinema. The staff were friendly and attentive and recognised me from a previous visit. We had the sea bream which was really tasty and light - just perfect for what we wanted, and a small dessert. We also received a promotional free drink, which was a lovely touch. We were served by a lovely waitress - we didn't realise until the end - but it was her first night - she was brilliant, so thank you. Will definitely visit again - thank you for looking after us

Birthday celebration with family, service food and ambiance made the meal memorable.

Warm welcome, well designed decor that was clean and tidy throughout. A brilliant french menu with high quality and great tasting food that doesn’t break the bank. One star down as it took a long time to get the bill, please consider an option to allow guests to pay their bill without having to wait for their servers (mobile app?).

We have just had a lovely evening - fantastic food, atmosphere, service and good value.

Very pleasant experince but felt drinks should be offered straight away when you sit down so you have a drink whilst choosing from menu. Vegan/vegetarian menus should be available on table...not have to ask for it. Kitchen presented my chocolate mouse with happy birthday messsge written on plate ...lovely touch and thank you daughter Eve for organising it. Only real gripe was Manager kept reminding us my pudding was a complimentary birthday gift and shown on bill as charged and discounted ...but my pudding was part of the 2 course set menu anyway and paid in full. More non alcoholic drinks could be available on menu Would go again

We had a table for 7 at lunchtime and were very well looked after. The staff were friendly and so helpful. We all enjoyed our meals and it was extremely good value!

We always enjoy our visits to Cote Basingstoke. The Manager is wonderful always remembers us and is so welcoming.

Everything from the moment we walked in to the moment we left was amazing! The food gorgeous, the staff so good and attentive, the place itself very nice and warming but cosy for any occasion! Price exceptionally good value for money! Have already booked to return in a couple of weeks. Thank you cote it was amazing!

We booked for a party of 9 to celebrate my sister's birthday. We arrived and were seated. Service was reasonable, but my son had mussels which were overly salty. The waitress offered to replace. A second dish was then supplied, which was equally too salty. The amazing thing was that another member of the party had already had this dish, and confirmed that the replacement dish was far saltier than the dish they had had. Strange kitchen issues. Surely the sauce should have been checked. This raises some fundamental questions. Then came the coup de grace. Although we had all been kept waiting for the replacement dish, we were told at 13.45 that we would have to give up our table at 14.00 for another group. This was the first we were notified of this. Nothing was said at time of reservation or when we were seated. We asked for the supervisor, Alex, and she told us in a very cold manner that we would have to leave. As three of our party had to leave anyway, we said we would be happy to transfer to another table or two adjacent tables. At this stage Cote was getting less busy. The supervisor left. We thought she was going to come back, but the next thing that happened was that we were presented with the bill, It seems that the supervisor had fallen asleep half way through the customer service course and had not heard that she was meant to offer a solution. The two salty meals were credited from our bill as was a bottle of wine. However, this did not make up for the disappointment of Cote ruining a birthday lunch. It is very sad when a restaurant chain that the family has always enjoyed in terms of food, service and value for money loses it so badly. As we left, I asked for the contact details of Cote's head office and was given a card, which, when I read it, was the card for the restaurant. We were told later that someone else who had eaten at the restaurant that same weekend had also had a bad experience. With restaurants facing such challenges, you would imagine they would seek to retain customers. Not Alex. Dreadful customer service. Thank goodness she is an exception rather than the rule, but we will hesitate before we make another booking at Cote. It is difficult running service companies. It takes a while to build a good solid reputation, but that reputation can be lost in minutes.

We had the lunch menu which we thought was very good, a good choice and good value, and very nicely presented.

I would like to experience it again but you used to send me some offers to visit but you don't seem to anymore

We eat at Cote quite regularly and particularly like your steak n frites , with the garlic butter. Yesterday when we got the meal the steak was cold, and the garlic butter quite solid, as a waiter asked us if all was ok we told him this. He and a more senior girl both apologised and asked if we wanted it changed, the steal still tasted fine so we said no it was ok but actually when we left we said that, for the first time, we were disappointed. No big deal, but good if you could see what happened

Excellent meal as always.....and the free wine always helps! The only grumble is the "optional 12.5% gratuity" that is automatically added to the bill.

Good overall but delay between main and ordering dessert somewhat lengthy

Meal was good overall however my mums soup was cold to begin with. When she receive her second bowl is was still a little chilly. Service was very good and good value for money.
