Good Great, Prices alright. I HATE when companies add on the "service charge" the the bill. This should be discretional. I also think 12.5% is a bit steep for a table of 3. Our service was actually quite slow. If I had the choice I would of tipped maybe £5 no more as the waiters spend a long period of time ignoring us whilst we were waiting to order. both main and dessert.

Most of the food was lovely. The puy lentils were undercooked and my colleagues steak took ages to arrive. We were half way through our food when her steak arrived.

We were a group of eight and overall it was a good evening. Everyone enjoyed the food but my calamari was a little over cooked and dry and the steak a tad chewy. The service was excellent , friendly and helpful. Possibly not practical but a round table for our number would have been perfect.

We have just had an amazing three course meal, the food was so good, especially the crab mayonnaise on sour dough for starter. The service was 1st rate too. Will be returning next month.

Lovely place to eat and the food was really good and very reasonably priced. The only slight negative is that although the customer service was very good and the staff were attentive, we felt that rather than us having to summon service after sitting at our table a while, we should have had someone approach to ask if we were ready to order. Overall a very good experience and will definately be back.

Excellent food, fantastic service. The only slight negative is the dining room is a little echoey which made it hard to talk without raised voices. Our waitress was a star.

Excellent service from our waiting staff. Nice to see our Sicilian waiter who is very entertaining as well as informative about the menu options. Consistently good food every time we visit and our free bottle of wine went down a treat!

This was our 4th visit ... I ordered a side of minted peas to go with Fish main, they were undercooked not seasoned and no mint added whatsoever. Advised waiter I would not be paying for the side . Manager came over and apologised immediately it really wasn’t a problem but I thought kitchen needed to know. Ordered dessert, delicious ! at end of meal manager explained that dessert was on chef for the earlier mistake . What a lovely touch ! Totally redeemed the whole situation and turned a slightly negative experience into a we will return ! Well done Basingstoke!

Very accommodating made us welcome Arrived early and enjoyed the benefit of their early birds menu which was excellent. Definitely go again.

Had a wonderful lunch for my husbands birthday. Staff were fantastic and even shouted us 2 glasses of Prosecco to celebrate.

Excellent food, great service by a funny helpful young waiter. Quite noisy but it was a Saturday night and was very busy.

Delicious food and very attentive, friendly service which is unusual these days! I also realised later in the evening that I had lost my purse and when I returned back to enquire, I was told it had been found and was safely stored away. My extreme thanks! Definitely the best place to eat in Basingstoke by far!

Food was OK, steak was a little under cooked, not as good as before, but OK. My friends Chicken was a bit dry but edible. Service is always good & staff polite and friendly, waiting times are minimal.

Always liked Cote. Trying Basingstoke for the first time. Very good. Food as good as ever, service very good and smaller, more intimate atmosphere than Reading
