It was our son 16th birthday and as a tradition we take him out for dinner. Sharing his special day at Cote was what we thought would be amazing. The food was excellent but the service wasn't great. The plates were left on the table for a long time after we had finished our meal, its not what we have become custom to at Cote. I wasn't going to complain as this would be the second time at Basingstoke that we have had to complain but my husband said I should. Please Cote, up your service staff, busy or not you should be made to feel special!!!!!

Food was good however the service was terrible. We booked online and also my wife went in to make sure we had a nice table as it was for my daughters 28th birthday. We were given the worst table in the restaurant right by the front door and the coffee area which was cold due to the front door opening. We complained and got moved to a nice booth. The service was very slow and had to wait along time for our food order. Then we we received the bill our complimentary drinks that we had with your special offer had been added plus an extra white wine. When we told the waitress this she ask me to show her my booking again as did not believe me even though I showed the other waitress when we ordered the drinks. Then she came back again to question how many white wines we had as she said we had 2 wines and not 1 which was incorrect and embarrassing! Do overall the experience was very poor due to the service but we paid the 12.5% service charge as I know this goes to the kitchen staff as well. Look forward to your reply

Waiting staff were great, very helpful and polite. When breakfasts came they were luke warm, could have been because restaurant was very busy but were changed immediately when we told waiter. Would definitely go back again.

Sat by the window again. A bit like sitting in a gold-fish bowl with shoppers staring in to the restaurant. Really needs some form of half curtain or draped nets.

More options for this of us that have dietary requirements.Would be nice not to be limited to one item on the desert menu ,would be really nice Wouldn’t take a lot just use ingredients that are plant based, there are enough products on the market

Food was excellent. Service was good once the eye of a server was 'caught'. It is a very noisy restaurant with no attempt to soften the decor to absorb sound, rather to play instrusive music to make it even noisier. Not a place for measured conversations.

We were served quickly and the food was perfect. Unfortunately we hadn't even finished our drinks and were brought the bill to pay and therefore we felt rushed out which was a shame.

We are never disappointed whenever we go to Cote B. The food is always superb and the service is excellent.

Been there Friday evening with my wife, very small portions, but tasty, fully packed, loud, table for 2 size of a pack of mathes, no large beer, long waiting time, having got your own waiter, had 4 different people serving us. £55 spent and won't come back

The vegetarian sausage was absolutely delicious! Staff very friendly. Bit noisy but to be fair it was a Saturday.

First time at Cote in Basingstoke and pleasantly surprised by good space around tables and not too noisy. Staff were lovely and we were served promptly but without being rushed. Food was delicious - there’s always a good selection and portion sizes are sensible.

We had a wonderful evening, loved the French martinis and the October special desert needs to stay on the menu permanently !

First time for us at Cote Brasserie - lovely meal

Very disappointing. It was a rare occasion when me and my Fiancee actually manage to get out of the house and I wish I'd gone somewhere else. The service was appalling. We were one of three groups in the restaurant so not exactly busy. The waitress forgot our drinks order - the manager had to step in and get them as fortunately he noticed. We then ordered some wine which, after another wait, we were told it was out of stock. The food was "ok" but doesn't compete with the competition of other French Restaurant chains. The end result was that the manager removed the drinks from the bill and obviously knocked the service charge off. I didn't ask him to do this as I would have prefer to pay for a good experience. First and last time for us - at least at the Basingstoke Restaurant.

Had a lovely meal at Cote in Basingstoke last night. The service was excellent and the food was very good. Slightly chilly in there - I'd say that was the only downside, but other than that all good, and we'll definitely be going back.

The service was very slow and the room noise level so loud. I think they must have been understaffed. My food was average, but my friend enjoyed her food; so maybe just a bad choice on my part. I wouldn’t select as first choice again.

The restaurant was pretty busy for an early evening weekday booking, which is always a good sign. We had the early evening menu which was great value at £11.50 for 2 courses. I particularly liked my pork and potato croquettes. Recommended.

Another superb meal with fantastic service from Vicky. Steaks cooked perfectly, wine delicious, creme caramel amazing!

Very nice food and ambience, I highly recommend it. Unfortunately there was a slight misunderstanding which meant the olives didn't arrive before our main course was rushed out! So that was returned to allow the olives to arrive. This was due to them being 'very busy' but the restaurant was half full. Otherwise a lovely evening!😊

We were given lunch menus when arriving (table booked at 12pm). We were then told when about to order that we had to have the breakfast menu. This was due to one table ordering breakfast past the time allowed, therefore all had to had breakfast. We ended up waiting so that we could have the lunch menu as we had originally planned.

A lovely experience for all our family. Service and staff could not have been more pleasant and helpful.

First visit to Cote Brasserie Basingstoke, I would highly recommend this lovely place. Food, service and atmosphere was five star a thoroughly enjoyable experience all round 🤗

Went for pre theatre meal , very busy . Food slow to arrive but money taken off the bill due to this . Despite this had s really nice meal the waitress was polite and apologetic and kept us updated regarding our food . Would definitely return

I’ve always been a big Cote fan so was delighted when you opened a restaurant in Basingstoke. I visited before the cinema as an extension of my birthday celebrations and we were treated to kir royale’s as promised which was wonderful. A nice touch at the end was a candle in my pudding which granted me extra birthday wishes :)
