Côte Basingstoke

We had a lovely meal from the 2 course early evening menu. Service was excellent and the meal delicious. Good value for money. We will be back.

We had a lovely evening, we arrived our booking was found promptly and we were seated in a window seat. Staff were attentive but not overbearing and all of our food was lovely. My only point for improvement would be that once we were served dessert and coffee we were just left. No one came to see if we wanted more drinks and we had to call someone over for the bill - but we weren't in a rush so that didn't matter all that much!

Food was very good but service was not great. Very helpful and friendly but kept waiting for drinks, food order, table clearing etc. Waited so long for dessert order we gave up and left. Sunday evening and not very busy.

Our waitress was amazing, nothing was too much. If she didn't know the answer she would go and ask for. In fact everyone was polite and helpful talkative and engaging. Thank you. We have been a few times before and we've always had a fab time.

Food was fantastic and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our party hadn’t met up for a while so we were chatting a lot so took a while to be ready to order pudding (everything else service wise had been prompt and easy). The staff had popped over to us after giving us a good amount of time to figure our dessert orders out and we needed another couple of minutes. We then looked at the menus properly n chose n then there was a little trouble to spot someone to place our orders n a longer wait than expected for pudding to arrive. Minimal complaint thought the guys were very attentive until then- lots of water brought over an drinks never ran out!

Good food, reasonable prices and nice atmosphere. only issue was it took a long time to get the bill and a further long wait for someone to take the payment. Staff were friendly but could have paid more attention to our table for drinks and the bill. It was not terribly busy, however I would recommend the restaurant as I have been several times and not had that issue previously. It’s great to have cote brasserie in Basingstoke

Enjoyed the lunch out today. Service was good although one of the starters was the wrong one. We will definitely be back. Staff are friendly and welcoming

Our experience was a positive one, efficient service, hot and tasty food and pleasant surroundings. Basingstoke was in need of this restaurant, we will definitely visit again.

Lovely food. Great service. Didn’t know the young Manss name who served us. Slim guy with a slight lisp. Very cute. Only been twice. Buts it’s fast becoming one of our favourite places to eat.

Lovely restaurant service was good although the kitchen lost my dessert order but the waiter chased it up promptly as we were having to leave and knocked it off the bill. The food was very good. Will definitely go back.

Good service, food arrived quickly, fresh and hot. Although busy and a little noisy was not rushed as some restaurants. Will be visiting again soon .

Nice atmosphere in the restaurant, I thought the food was lovely, and the staff attentive, but my partners starter of mussels were over cooked and like rubber, unfortunately he had picked fish stew for main which also contained mussels. That said the management were very good in handling the situation, and everything else was good.

We were very pleased with our lunch. We could not fault anything. The food was excellent. The service was also very good. Overall this was an excellent lunch and we will return.

Amazing food and restaurant atmosphere! Love it here only thing is the staff took a while to get to us to sort our bill out but overall a lovely restaurant.

Very disappointing, had to ask for knives and orange juice. Order came out wrong, had to send sausages back as cold and not really cooked and bacon very salty. Was looking forward to going but didn't live up to expectations.

Lovely breakfast, great food and coffee We had a slight problem with our order but dealt with so quickly and reflected in our bill - which we weren't expecting nor did we feel it had caused us any major delay. Great service

We visited cote on Saturday the meal and service were great , however we were disappointed to be asked to leave as the table rebooked we feel this should have been mentioned at the time of booking!

Lovely food for a reasonable price. Lovely and quick service with attentive staff. Quite busy but not too loud to ruin the atmosphere. Definatly visiting again soon

Food was very nice, a wide choice on the menu. The service was good. It was quite busy so the atmosphere was buzzing. Would recommend a visit.

Really lovely restaurant in a great location. Greeted by friendly staff and not rushed even though it was fairly busy. Food was enjoyable and served in a timely manner.

Most of them Food was cold when it can out so everyone's food was eaten at a different time. Very disjointed. And a sorry doesn’t cut it. We have eaten at many cotes do this is Very poor.

Very good food and service. Extremely busy so was expecting a delay. We did book our table but it wasn’t quite ready but only a short wait. There is no where to wait so you have to stand by the door which isn’t great.

We were seated at 7pm, left at 10.45. Took 30mins for breads to come out, further 20 mins for starter. Manager recognised this and came over to have a word. The waitress had clearly been told off and our waiter was switched and she didn’t come over to us again until we caught her attention. 3 of our meals were lovely, one of us however received food so over cooked the taste made her ill and she went home early. The deserts came out at 9.50 these were okay but not overly amazing. George was lovely and dealt with our complaints so well on the night. Food was good apart from wait and the burnt meal.

Enjoyed our meal, service was good, although we were only asked if our food was OK when the plates of our main course were being cleared. I asked for my steak to be cooked medium/well, but it was a bit undercooked and bloody for me, but I did eat it. I did tell the waiter when he asked if everything was OK and he apologised. My husband had the mussels to start, he committed that a finger bowl would have been useful, also there were no side plates for the bread.

Delcious food, lovely relaxed atmosphere and good attentive service. The complimentary gin and tonics on arrival were a very nice touch. Will definitely visit again soon.

excellent service, and food. our waitress was attentive and friendly, it was a nice setting. the area was slightly warmer than was comfortable but that is probably because it was so busy. would recommend the moules!

Staff and food are excellent . Second visit and definitely won’t be the last . Had the steak and so tasty and cooked exactly how we wanted it .

The food was excellent and the restaurant not noisy . However when we came to pay the bill a 20% gratuity had been added. This was “optional “ when we deducted this and paid our own tip the waitress said we couldn’t do that as it was an opt in /opt out . We had not been told this and was rather taken aback by her attitude. So we paid for the food and left a tip but not the full £11:36 which we felt was over the top and the price of a main meal ! We have never had this at any other Côte restaurant

First visit to the Basingstoke restaurant. Loved the interior and staff really courteous and helpful. However, my main course was cold and one of our side dishes was incorrect. To their credit the staff quickly put it all right and the Manager deducted the cost of our desserts as way of apology. Unfortunately, this rather spoilt the evening which was for my husbands birthday

Booking was easy to do online as it was a small party. When entering the restaurant i waiting a minute or two for two colleagues to finish a conversation then was seated. We were able to order drinks and food quickly. The drinks took sometime to come. Generally the food was good but a bit cold. It came out so quickly after ordering i wondered if it had been sat there for a while. One of the party's eggs were hard boiled (she had eggs benedict) but when she complained she did get another breakfast in return which was much better. The quality of the ingrediants was good. I ordered a second coffee which took a while to come. Generally the atmosphere of the restaurant was good but the customer service was lacking. At several times I saw staff members stood drinking coffee (while I waited for mine) and generally chatting. Some looked more dischevelled than I'd expect.

Was given tiny table by door, which despite curtain was still chilly. This was thankfully dealt with when i asked to move and they kindly gave us a glass of prosecco as an apology. My steak was great and the rest of the food was good. But service was too fast we barely had bread brought out and main course arrived. Then when we did have to leave for taxi, there internet went down and they could not take payment. They asked me to go to cash point but we didn't have time. In the end they used old machine. Overall good food. Tables too small and packed in. Service was not great.

Very enjoyable and the staff attentive. The menus have a lot of choice with tasty fresh food and French style ambience 😊

Service was fantastic, food was delicious, atmosphere was superb. Only criticism was the music was a little loud.

Had a lovely Mother’s Day Lunch. My first visit to a Cote restaurant, friendly staff, good service and lovely food. Will definitely be coming back again soon.

Fantastic ambiance, food and service. Had a great night and would definitely recommend. I look forward to visiting again. Nice to have a decent restaurant in town.

This is the second time we have eaten at Cotes and we are very happy with our meal and service was excellent. The staff are attentive and very helpful.

We had amazing service at Cote Basingstoke. One of the party had a serious allergy and they made sure she was looked after and informed of the choices she had. The food was delicious and we enjoined a relaxed atmosphere without feeling rushed. We will be raving to our friends.

Really enjoyed our meal, the staff was friendly, service was very good, good value for money, good menu choice, would book again, Would like a but more choice on cocktails.

Food was beautiful and atmosphere was great! We were left waiting a while after our mains before we ordered dessert, which could have been faster. Overall experience was very good and would definitely come back
