Côte Basingstoke

Food portions were small and the beef bourginon of very poor quality, more like shredded mince.

I am a little difficult to please as have IBS and despite asking for no sauce or dressing, it was still served with dressing and had to be sent back. It did arrive back fresh with no sauce but on a cold plate hence the hot meal disseminated very quickly. As I like very hot food, this was disappointing. This affected my scores above. Our food order was ‘forgotten’. We had to ask where our food was as others had their starter and main, and we had nothing to eat.

We had a fantastic birthday lunch. Absolutely super. We would not hesitate to return.

Staff using the same toilets as customers. I used the rest room and a fella in kitchen whites was using the urinal. My wife used the rest room and one of the waitresses was in there......a bit slow on the service for another order of drinks.

Another excellent meal at Cote Basingstoke. The French Martini was excellent and the October Specials, Crab Bisque starter and Haddock main were a delight, very tasty and well presented. Our 8th visit and we will be back!

The food was very nice but I felt a bit rushed. Our mains were brought out while we were still eating our appetisers.

Excellent food and excellent service. This is my favourite place to eat and the early menu always make it such good value for money.

Great experience eating at côte! Our waitress was attentive and took my dietary requirements seriously (coeliac & vegan). When there was a slight misunderstanding with my order the waitress and manager then checked everything to ensure it was definitely all safe for me before eating. Huge thanks to the wonderful côte team for their diligence and the delicious food!

Food amazing as always and a wide choice. Had a couple of issues with some of the staff today but other than that, wouldn’t hesitate to return again.

Been to Cote Brasserie 3 times now and have never been disappointed, food very good , service very friendly and good.

Had a wonderful meal and great service. Beautifully cooked and presented. I mentioned it was my husband's birthday so the staff sang 'happy birthday' and presented him with a chocolate cake and ice cream, with a candle. They also took the kir royal off of the bill. Really appreciate the gestures. Would definitely go back.

Delicious meal, some of the food was a little burnt and the cabbage was very watery but otherwise great. Its quite a loud and busy but nice atmosphere. Lovely staff.

Cannot fault the friendly and efficient staff. My meal was delicious. I was a bit sad to find that the chickens from Brittany are not free range so did not have that dish. Are they battery chickens???

The best restaurant in festival place. We came here to celebrate the night before my wedding and the food and service were exceptional. I’ve not had such a nice meal out in a long time.

Farewell lunch with my my brother, and sister in law prior to returning to Canada. Great experience and very relaxing I have a number of allergies, and sensitivities and the staff were very helpful in accommodating my needs. The food was great and lots of choice. We all enjoyed our lunch.

Helpful staff - menu marked up in advance with gluten free and dairy free options. However, the choices were limited, which is pretty disappointing as the majority of restaurants these days offer much more flexibility on their menus and can tweak the options. The only dessert option was sorbet. Come on Cote, you can do better than that! A simple fruit salad or a meringue would have been an easy gluten free/dairy free option to offer. My friend has steak and chips - that was all there was on the plate, not even a small side salad! If you want veg or salad you have to order it as a side and pay extra for it. Both of our mains were tasty none the less and it was an enjoyable experience.

We enjoy eating at Cote Brasserie and Friday was no exception. My wife and I had the chicken on the premium set menu and whilst it was very tasty it was overcooked which made it a bit chewy. Otherwise everything else was good. The crumble was exceptional.

Good food and service, slightly let down by waiting staff not being on top of what food was available and which menus to present. We were told that the weekend menu had run out, but were then able to order an item from the weekend menu. We were presented with the dessert menu, but not the October menu as well, which had the October dessert.
