This was my friends birthday treat. The manager and staff went over board to make sure our lunch was a memorable occasion, they succeed. Wonderful atmosphere
Poor service, despite not being full. Waitress barely understandable. Was it her first day? And Steak Frites was tough! Service charge was readily deducted but it spoilt the evening.
I booked a table here for a surprise for my girlfriend last saturday. It was very busy but service was excellent. Started with Onion soup - very tasty, and had the fish pie (it was called something else but I cannot remember what). It was delicious. We really enjoyed the evening and will definitely return here. Thankyou very much to all the staff for making it such a nice meal.
Good service as always good choices food was lovely also got given our favourite table really lovely meal will be back very soon Thank you
Delicious food but service was a little disappointing. No cutlery on table until we asked for it when main plates were served. Considering that we were celebrating 24 years of marriage we offered a small table by the host when we arrived.
As usual at Cote the service was excellent, the food was good and reasonably priced. A very pleasant atmosphere and we had a very quiet table.
Cote is very reliable and good. The air conditioning helped in this hot weather. The service was good and I ate from the cheap early evening set meal (asparagus soup, salmon fishcakes and chocolate mousse). I have often eaten at Cote and have always had good experiences.
Lovely meal as it often is when we come here. Well cooked, delicious and a wide selection from which to choose. They forgot one of my daughter's drinks initially, and we were only a party of 4, but the restaurant was extremely busy. There was barely a single table free and there are quite a number of tables here. My other daughter really enjoyed a good quality wine, and my husband and I had some authentic French cider which we really like. All in all a lovely birthday meal out for me!
Really good lunch menu this month - fresh ingredients, well prepared and served, as always Crab and avocado and fish cakes were both very good.
We really enjoyed our Father's day breakfast, the service and food was lovely. The restaurant was understandibly quite busy and the noise level became very high and could really benefit from looking at interior changes (ie more fabric on the walls to stop noise from the upper level bouncing around) to soften the ambiance - we all would have enjoyed our visit better with a more relaxed ambiance. Easily fixed and we would have rated Cote top marks.
As always the food was good served with good service in a lovely atmosphere. It was very good value for money too. On a very hot night the air conditioning was extremely welcome so eating was pleasant.
The food was thoroughly enjoyed by my visitors who had never been to cote before. It was cooked and presented tp perfection. The waitress was exceptional - welcoming, so friendly and very knowledgeable about olives. We were so pleased we came to cote and the manager was expertly and smoothly organising everything. My favourite restaurant.
Mediocrity personified Staff were rude which didn't help the middle of the road food That said, the set menu is still on the right side of value considering the price
We have been eating regularly at Cote since it first opened in Richmond. We have also eaten at Cote in various London Branches, Guildford, Esher, and Kingston. The fact that we have visited so much speaks for itself. Good well cooked food at a good price in a pleasant environment with excellently chosen staff.
Lovely staff at the restaurant and very nice grub. Little bit of confusion with our order but they sorted satisfactorily and didn't charge one of the starters. We've eaten at other Cote restaurants can't fault them!!
I had the set menu and allthough the duck pâté starter was very good, the main which was chicken in a veal jus with a potato gratin was very disappointing. The chicken was badly overcooked (dry and tough) and everything was very salty.
Excellent authentic French food. Steak tartare, Breton fish stew, confit duck - all good. Always busy so best to book in advance. Never had a bad meal here and extensive GF menu
We came here for our son's birthday and the staff were lovely and allowed us to bring our own cake. The meal was lovely and the excellent waiters turned up with the cake and candles singing happy birthday. Lovely evening.
I was given the table I requested in advance - a booth - where seating is padded. My parents who were with me are 85 and 93 need this level of comfort. The manager was most attentive sorting out for me my loyalty offer of a free kir. The food was as ever delicious and hot and the service very good. I particularly enjoyed the fish stew.
Excellent service - everything was timed right. Great choice of table upstairs with open windows. Food was delicious as ever and great wine. Always a good menu with great specials. I love this restaurant.
Good food, friendly reception. Very busy so service rather slow. Gratuity added to bill automatically. Very good location, easy access by car or public transport.
We are regular Cote diners, and are always delighted with the food and service. It is really impressive how you maintain standards over such a big network. Sadly, we have been to Richmond twice lately, and on both occasions, the food has not been to the usual standard. The most recent visit, I had a rib eye steak, rare. Unfortunately, it was very tough, chewy, cold, and in my opinion 'Blue' rather than rare. My wife had chicken and chips, which I ended up sharing as I left most of my steak. She has this regularly, and on this occasion, we both found it very salty. We did not complain, as we were against time to get to a concert. Service, was as ever exceptional
Good food, slowish service. The restaurant was very full though. Fish soup very good indeed. Paulette less impressive than half roast chicken. I can recommend the Grave wine: good value
Really great service and lovely food. It was my birthday and the waiters brought me a chocolate pudding with a candle and sang to me!
The staff here are attentive (though not overbearing) and friendly. Good food with a lovely atmosphere. Have also been to this restaurant for brunch which was just as satisfying. Would most certainly recommend.
Good service nice lunch! Management team were great at seeing to our request to be seated outside. Portion sizes of food were generous too! Would go back
Always reliable food and very French! I've never had a bad meal in Cote, no matter which branch I've gone to. Very good value for money too.
Cote Richmond is always warm and welcoming. The food was excellent and good value for money, the set menu is fantastic value and you won't ever get a better chocolate mousse!
Great services and great food at the Richmond brand. Cote is one of the few restaurant chains where the standards don't seem to have slipped as they expanded.
Had a great evening at cote in Richmond it is a lovely restaurant that serves fab food and has friendly staff, will definitely be going back !!
As ever, really great with kids! Good service, lovely food. Baby change facilities ok. Breakfast menu very good value. Staff very friendly. We will use again.
Usual good quality food & drink. Set menu has plenty of choice and new wine menu with 250ml in addition to 175ml glasses. Friendly, efficient service
As always a lovely service and great atmosphere. The food from the set menu was very good with an excellent choice of dishes unlike other restaurants' special menus. A good experience.
Another fantastic meal at Cote Richmond. The service was exemplary, the food outstanding and with a complimentary desert and pudding wine, we were in seventh heaven!
Lovely as usual. Great food and service. Good value for money and very accommodating. Definitely recommend to friends and family. The June starter special was delicious.
Fab food and lovely location - most of staff were very helpful - the only criticism I have is we were given a booth down the back of restaurant which was lovely and for starters and main courses the service was brilliant and attentive but when we decided to order deserts and coffee there was no one about - some of the staff were at the top of restaurant and the others had gone to lunch or disappeared which left the back of the restaurant ignored - it took a while to get someone's attention and even then they came from the top of the restaurant!
We arrived very early for our booking, they make shift for us. Service was brilliant, food was excellent. I will definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Great meal in Cote of Richmond. We warned them we were heading to Theatre and they served us quickly. We both had plaice which was very tasty, mine was slightly over cooked. I really enjoyed my dinner in a great restaurant with very efficient service.
Food was excellent as always. But we had to wait a long time for our pudding order to be taken and then to pay. It was like they forgot about us.
Not so good as the experience in Sloane Square. The dish which I ordered was salad nicoise and I would have hoped that the lettuce would have been a little more sophisticated than ordinary flat lettuce. I do believe that the menu suggested there would be potatoes on the plate, but I didn't see any of those.
Pleasant enough but very noisy and not particularly attractive décor-it felt rather dull! Meal was "ok" but steak was not as good as I've had on previous visits to Cote. I had the impression that they were a bit short-staffed
A delicious, substantial breakfast! Couldn't fault it at all! Top quality! Good polite service. Coffee - good quality! A lovely start to my birthday celebrations.
The portions have reduced quite noticeably in the last year, most especially what were our favourite Boeuf Bourguignon and Prawn Gratine. However, the staff is very attentive and efficient.
Ordered a steak medium rare and came out almost blue. Wiator was inattentive, forgetting drinks and not explaining anything. Food was always passed to my hand and never place or picked up from table. Awful experience
It was easy to book online - the venue was great and service really good we also enjoyed the special offer for Cote members and the food was excellent
The food is always good quality and good value. We go there - and to other cote branches - quite often. The only downside is that it gets crowded and can be quite noisy. There is not much that you can do about that and we will be back soon.
Changed reservation time, when I then arrived time hadn't been changed. Was left over an hour before receiving our food. Discount was applied to food however this didn't make up fot the time I had lost. I was due to meet friends for drinks at 10pm and I didn't leave the restaurant till 10:30 This then meant I had to leave Richmond 30mins later to ensure I got the correct train home. I love cote and it's amazing food however the service I received in Richmond was disappointing.
very friendly and efficient staff. Good service. Food very well cooked and tasty. Excellent choice of wines. Ambience entirely welcoming. Generally a very good experience.
It was a very busy evening in the restaurant. The noise levels in there seem incredibly high, difficult to talk and to hear what others are saying. My main course could have been hotter, I didn't return it as the staff seemed so incredibly busy. Very nice and attentive staff.
A lovely atmosphere and great service. A vast menu to choose from - even for a gluten-free diner. Enjoyed ourselves hugely. And enjoyed the Birthday Kirs. Thank you.
