First class service and excellent food. Our favourite Anersham restaurant against some serious competition.... well done!
Crab Mayonaise followed by Breton Fish Stew with a complimentary Birthday Kir Royale. My wife had the King Prawns followed by Steak Frite and French Fries. All absolutely lovely with quite a buzz despite the early evening - perhaps people were avoiding the Cup Final and Eurovision Song Contest!!
My Rhubarb cocktail was delightful but my swordfish was dry and the bed of beans were under seasoned. Should have stuck with the Sea Bass.
My husband and I really enjoyed our visit to Cote in Old Amersham. The food was excellent and the staff were friendly, cheerful and helpful. We look forward to returning in the near future.
A lovely meal, with very friendly serving staff. Very enjoyable, and good value for money. A really great place for a special occasion. Can't wait to go again!
As always, we had an excellent meal at Cote Brasserie this evening. Good service, very pleasant staff, good food and good value. Please visit Cote Brasserie if you haven’t already been there. One of the best.
Good food, attentive waitress, happy brunch with my family! We sat in a booth at the side which was a good choice as it is quieter than the main restaurant. Despite being out of the way, waitress was aware and attentive
As always an authentic French Brasseri experience. For a chain Cote rings the changes with it’s menus and we enjoyed our meal last evening.A good value for money restaurant which we use on a regular basis.
Always a lovely place to visit with friendly staff. The food is of a high quality.
We are regular visitors to our favourite restaurant in Amersham and had booked for 4 people for 1pm today. We are elderly and hard of hearing so always request to be seated at the quieter area at the front of the restaurant if possible. We arrived at 1pm and there was not a table available as the window position for 4 was occupied by 3 or 4 young people with their children. Apparently they had come for breakfast and had been there since 11am. You staff, charming as ever very kindly organized a temporary table while we waited for the window table to be vacated. It was not conducive to conversation at all. At about 2.45pm the group who had no been eating but chatting all that time decided it was time to leave so at 3pm we moved to the window table. I suggest that you should print on your breakfast menu something to the effect that breakfast ends at 1pm and the table should be vacated by then to accommodate lunchtime bookings. Mr. Paul Windsor.
I normally like Cote but this experience was disappointing. It took some time to get our nibbles and drinks. Food arrived in batches not together. Meat was cooked well done when asked medium rare. The service was patchy. Disappointed.
I really love Cote Amersham and I have been here more than once. It has a great menu with lots of different choices and I visited on this occasion as a party of 4. I had booked in advance and requested a table by the window. The restaurant was very busy and we were told no window table was available which was disappointing. We were seated in the rear section of the restaurant looking straight at a table for 4 in the window occupied by 2 ladies. We were told that should a table become available we could move. It was extremely noisy and right by the station where the condiments and glasses were stored. Service was slow, but it was very crowded. When it came to ordering we were told there was no Camembert or goats cheese available. Disappointing. Sadly, there was an incident where several glasses smashed into the floor/station immediately beside us whilst we were eating our starters. We found this disconcerting. At the same time the table opposite in the window became free, and we asked if we could move to that one or the booth next to it away from the glass. We were told they had to check and see if the table was booked which was also annoying considering we had requested in advance ourselves. We did eventually move across for our main course. All in all it wasn't really the experience I am used to at Cote. Which is a shame because, as I said at the top of my comments I really love this restaurant, well, I do usually. It was just a bit of a shambles really.
Everything about this restaurant was good. Value for money the food and the service could not be faulted. It consistently produces which is very rare these days in a chain!
We had a delicious meal enhanced by our window-side seating and out charming (?Dutch) waiter. An excellent experience. Thank you.
Excellent in all areas although pricy. Highly recommend to all, however.
I have become a regular customer at Cote Brasserie, Amersham dining with my family, which includes children, and also with friends. The food is of excellent quality. good value and all of the staff are friendly and efficient. I would most certainly recommend the restaurant.
Last night the service was chaotic and slow. Our server apologised a number of times because he was so embarrassed. I had the sea bass and it tasted very fishy and the sauce was tasteless. For desert my husband ordered the creme caramel and was brought creme brûlée but as the waiter disappeared we couldn’t exchange it. My chocolate fondant was more like a small cake that had been split open and filled with room temperature chocolate sauce. Normally we have lovely food when we dine at the Amersham Cote but this time we were very disappointed with the whole experience. As it was a Saturday night it should have been packed but it wasn’t, so perhaps this drop in service and food quality is not a one off.
We had a very good meal at Côte in Amersham. However, while the food was excellent, the service, which started off very good, deteriorated after a change of staff, until we received no service at all. We left without having the drinks we had told staff we wanted after our desserts because no-one came to take our order. As we left we were wished a nice evening and had to ask if we could pay as we hadn't been given a bill. Not impressed.
Had a great Thursday night dinner out. The only possible criticism was that it was quite noisy (with other diners) so some sound absorption might help, but otherwise couldn’t fault it.
Food was very tasty although the goat’s cheese salad had far too much lettuce. Pork belly very nuce. Service was quick and efficient. Would definitely return.
My husband and I love Cote. You always know you will get good service, good food and it is not going to break the bank. Tonight we loved the pork belly, meltingly soft but with crunchy, crispy skin mmmmmm!
A reasonable lunch in a pleasant environment with attentive service.
Great dinner at Cote Amersham last night. Very good service lovely food all very well served. Exactly what I expect from this great branch. Go you will love it
We have visited this restaurant on many occasions and have never been disappointed and this last visit was no exception. Keep up the good work! Geoff & Jenny
Lovely birthday celebration lunch for my friend. And we all thoroughly appreciated and enjoy the complimentary Rhubarb cocktail . Thank you.
The staff are so caring and thoughtful. A lovely atmosphere in the booth at back of restaurant. A great place to meet monthly with friends.
Polite and helpful waiter who served us today . He seemed to have a good knowledge of the wine list. As always, the French Onion soup was very tasty. The seafood linguine was good but I would prefer a little chilli added for extra flavour. Very good value. We will certainly return again.
Great food and value for money . Excellent service . Pleasant evening, would recommend.
Went with friends prior to a theatre visit so we all opted for the early evening menu. Such a great selection on the May menu- the starters of charcuterie board, asparagus soup & fried zucchini were great. The main courses of Sea Bream, Chicken and Lamb were excellent too. Staff were friendly and polite and service was very good enabling us to leave in good time for the theatre.
Good service, good food- the sea bass and chocolate mousse were really nice. Great evening. Thank you!
Food was pretty poor. Sorry. Risotto was oily and stodgy, fish pie really poor, green beans had seen better days and looked rather grey and monkfish dish was described as ‘odd’
We had an enjoyable time. Our waiter was attentive and the food was well presented. The desserts and coffee took rather a long time to appear but otherwise everything was very satisfactory.
Lovely early evening meal tonight, great food and excellent service. Special mention for Beth the manager who was extremely chatty and welcoming to our group. Thank you
Well looked after by the lovely friendly staff. Asked for a quiet table and got it. Left to enjoy our meal but appeared to take orders and clear table at just the right time. Our favourite restaurant 👍
A very pleasant experience, not too busy so had a good atmosphere, not too noisy. No starter but lovely mains and apple pie/flan to finish, scrumptious.
We are regular diners at Cote Amersham and the meal we from the Prestige Menu on Friday 8th March was really excellent - unbeatable in terms of value for money for such high quality food in todays restaurant scene. Our starters of Calamari and Mussels were both great but the main course of Breton chicken was memorable. Beautifully succulent and well seasoned it was the best chicken both of us had tasted for years. Accompanied by an excellent bottle of Viognier at about £20 this was a simple but classy meal with attentive service to match
Lovely meal, lovely knowledgeable staff, could not fault. Will definitely return
Food and service was good, but the restaurant got noisy as more tables became occupied
Thank you again Cote Amersham. Excellent all round. The usual excellent menu, food, ambiance, helpful and happy staff! We enjoy the monthly additions/ changes to the menu, we will be back soon!
Pleasant atmosphere and very good value. Pity it doesn't have a garden. The complimentary cocktails were excellent. Worth coming on a regular basis, almost as nice as Windsor or Marlow.
This restaurant, along with others in the Cote stable, is excellent. The staff are really good and they complement the lovely ambience of the place and the food. Thoroughly recommend.
It’s Never a disappoint cotes in Amersham always what you expect in flavour and atmosphere. Staff are alays very helpful and friendly. You can’t ask for more for value for money.
We were welcomed to Cote from the outset and enjoyed our complementary drinks they kindly arranged 4 non acholic A well positioned table was prepared the food was really good and the service excellent We’ve eaten in many Côte restaurants and this was one of the best two of my guests were local and assure me they will be returning. Thanks for a lovely birthday lunch we had lots of fun. Sheila Elliott
Food great, staff friendly and helpful all in very pleasant surroundings
Hi we had a lovely evening and the service was exceptional - our waiter who I think was the manager that night went out of his way to make our evening special. We did have a problem with the swordfish - We did send them back as the fish was no cooked through and the second tine it was still undercooked and didnt taste right. I have swordfish often and this was not up to standard. Overall it was good and I would give it 5/6. The service made up for all the food issues. KR Jo Day
group of 10, service generally ok but despite prompting some side orders did not appear until late in the main course so 2or 3 of the party had a delay to starting their meal
Very good food. Reasonably priced and very attentive staff definitely recommend.
Very good service food high quality and the asparagus was well cooked
Excellent service and food very good. Except my wife's breakfast was not hot just warm. Otherwise everything for breakfast was very good. Will visit this Cote again.
The noise was the downside, that and the fact that we were seated alongside what was obviously a main throughway and Was a issue for a member of our party who has mobility problems and could not move fast. Otherwise, food, serveice and value for money were all very good.
