Côte Birmingham

As was the case when we dined in January, a thoroughly enjoyable evening. Great service, great food; we will be back - sooner rather than later.

As always a great experience. Food and Service are one of the best in town!

The set menu was really good quality and value and the service was excellent. Our food arrived quickly and we were very impressed with the friendly helpful staff. Will definitely return soon.

Good service, nice and quick. Starters - calamari and shredded pork. Very tasty and he perfect quantity. Mains - My partner ordered the chargrilled chicken and found it very bland. I ordered the rib eye steak, medium rare. Very tasty, however mine was rare.

The staff were helpful and friendly. The meal was delicious. I can definitely recommend the duck or the fish parmentier. As a special dessert the Grande Marnier crepe, with it flaming sauce was a real treat.

Everything and everyone was fabulous. The food and service were faultless. Thank you. We can’t wait to come again. And Matthew the Manager was exceptionally friendly and gave a great personal and attentive service and knew just the right way to be friendly but professional. It was a great night.

We had a lovely lunch to celebrate my daughters birthday, We all thoroughly enjoyed our food and the service was perfect. Thank you to all the staff for the professional way they operate.

Lovely food and polite service. My only complaint is we were sat by the door which is cold and had people constantly walking past. We asked to be moved but they only gave us a table slightly further away and I now had the sun in my eyes for half the meal. A couple who came in just after were given a better table at the back which was annoying since I had booked weeks in advance. Perhaps they were known to the manager.

The wait for the food was too long. I know it was a busy day but I would expect better. Overall we were disappointed, such a shame because I normally really like the resturaunt.

Really enjoyed this place on 2 occasions. Good service and great food. However, I am not happy with a service charge being applied to my bill. I will always tip but not happy at being told how much. And I think 12.5% is too much.

Lovely meal, great service, wished there was more variety on the Fixed Price Menu, doesn’t seem to have changed much since our last visit. Probably come again

A warm welcome from staff as usual. There was a small error where one main course was initially forgotten and brought out slightly later than the other, but this was quickly rectified. The manager was very apologetic and overall it didn't spoil the experience.

My 2nd visit over weekend in Birmingham. On my first visit main course arrived before starters finished. Sent it back to kitchen. On 2nd visit with same FOH staff on duty, reminded them for need of a comfortable wait between courses but *still* main course arrived before finished with starters. This lack of communication and supervision between FOH and kitchen needs to improve and was further compounded by tuna being extremely rare. The niçoise is my favourite Côte dish and I do like it pink in the middle but this time it was hardly cooked at all apart from the outer 1mm and was completely inedible. It was duly replace by the normal standard of the dish, complete with appropriate apologies. Hopefully ‘rare’ glitch in the normal very good Côte experience. Maybe their focus on COVID-19 measures distracted them from the basics though it *did* mean the restaurant was quiet!

It was amazing and I had a great time celebrating my birthday.

As a party of four we all had the two course set menu for lunch on a Saturday. Highly recommend, the food was really good. It was my sisters birthday and there was a box of chocolates and a card waiting for her on our table when we arrived. Nice personal touch. All the staff were very pleasant and attentive.

Just excellent once again. The food was beautiful, staff were wonderful, we really love it here.

Food lovely. Service painfully slow. After waiting an eternity for plates to be collected then waiting for dessert menu for ages we decided to leave it and just leave. Staff arguing with each other. It seemed like the kitchen porter and waitress didn’t get in and we’re snapping and arguing with each other a lot

The meal was lovely as it always is. It is the best restaurant I have eaten in.

Actuality quite a few of my party had never been to Cote, so you have certainly gained some future customers. I have for many years been a great fan of the Cote, be it Birmingham, Leamington Gloucester and Cambridge. I am looking forward to the New Solihull Restaurant. long over due, me thinks.

Very attentive staff and enjoyable ambience. Food tasty and well cooked-salmon portion in the main course on the Prestige menu on the small side.

Delicious food and fabulous service. The steak was perfectly cooked and the french onion soup was wonderful. Very efficient service too, no waiting around but didn’t feel rushed.

The whole evening was very special and SO appreciated. The table looked beautiful, the food was great, the card etc was unexpected but Heather was thrilled to bits. As always a lovely evening and meal. Consistent quality and service. Restaurant is spotless. A quality dining experience and very good value. Waiting staff as always efficient, pleasant and knowledgeable -a very well managed restaurant with a lovely vibe. would not hesitate to recommend (and in fact we do).
