Lovely restaurant located in the Mailbox, great views of the canal and several nice bars to visit after dinners. Been several times and always good service and bullet proof food.

Great location & easy distance from Birmingham New Street. Cote is one of my regular, always good service, good prices & bullet proof food.

The meal was excellent and as a nice evening enjoyed eating outside as Birmingham has a great outside area. The only slight criticism was the cheese selection for desert which as ourselves and the waiter had not heard of any of them we declined desert

The service was poor the food was poor. Not the usual service I’ve had in Liverpool Cote. Value for money was poor. I wish I’d have gone elsewhere.

Our server, Ricardo, was extremely helpful. The food was great and I would definitely return. I think it would be a good idea if there were more outdoor heaters, one underneath the canopy that covers each table. My group were lucky that we got seated by 1 of the 2 heaters, if we hadn't been we definitely wouldn't have been able to sit for 5 hours outside like we did. With the restrictions to restaurants this winter I think it would be a great investment, as I couldn't find many places where I could book outdoor seating specifically, like I could at Cote.

Staff were friendly. Food was lovely. Cocktails were amazing. Couldn't fault the night at all.

Overall disappointing experience. It was obviously extremely busy and the place was understaffed and it was the day before national lockdown. Despite this, our starters came consisting of the wrong order, which was not a problem. Although when our originals order arrived, it was cold and tasteless with poor produce. Both main courses were warm and tasty. We ordered a dessert to share, it took nearly 30 minutes to arrive, it was cold, the puff pastry was sticky and unable to cut through and was not enjoyable to eat. Waitress was very apologetic and both items were taken off the bill. If this was not the eve before lockdown I would’ve expected a more sincere apology from a senior member of the front of house staff.

Enjoyed an early dinner/supper (delete to choice) @ Cote in the mailbox last night. just s few points, I think there should be two choices of Soup in winter, there are two salads and who eats salads when its Baltic conditions? Staff were as always excellent!

The food was good, the staff exceptionally pleasant and efficient. One criticism - it is not Summer and although hardy spirits (aka smokers) continue to dine outside, it is important to consider that few interior customers enjoy blasts of cold air through doors having been left open.
