I had a most enjoyable set lunch of Apple and Roquefort salad, followed by Haddock with a pea puree and a dark chocolate pot to finish. It was a very hot day, so I ate on the terrace with a slight breeze from the canal, but my complimentary Kir Royale (it was the day afetr my birthday) was very welcome.

Excellent service as always at Cote Birmingham. The staff here are personable and professional. The set menu was grat value, soup and chicken and avocado particularly excellent.

There was a varied menu. Good value table d'hote. The food was excellent and the staff friendly and attentive. A very relaxing lunch. Will go back.

Great central location in the heart of the Mailbox. Very large picturesque outdoor space. Good selection of fresh food & plenty of staff. Mussels were delicious!

Very difficult to access Mailbox car park especially when you are a visitor to Birmingham. Even more difficult to access restaurant if you are disabled and a wheel chair user, as I am. No signs in Mailbox for lifts etc. Booked for 7.30 but when we arrived no seats outside so started with drinks inside until a table available. Very good service and very good standard of food, although a side order was forgotten. We like Cote as a restaurant chain and feel that this was one of the best we have used. However will think twice about using again because of the external access difficulties.

Excellent the staff were really helpful especially the girl that organised our table. The food was delicious there were 9 of us and everybody enjoyed their choices.

Lovely food with efficient service. It was really busy however out waitress was still attentive and looked after us well. Good was excellent standard would definitely recommend.

I have eaten in several cote Brasseries in all different places and what I have to say about them is the food is always excellent and so are the people who serve you. I would strongly recommend.

Had the early evening menu , the selection covered all tastes and was superb . Had planned to eat Al A Carte but the selection on offer was incredible value for money .

Wonderful restaurant with great staff and excellent food. It is always a pleasure to eat here and last evening was no exception. Portion sizes are perfect and the wine not over expensive. The staff are attentive but not fawning. Will visit again soon!

we arrived early and were had a very friendly welcome, The staff could not have been more helpful. The restaurant itself is located at the lower part Mail Box by the canal the environment is really pleasant and there are tables located by the canal which on a warm summer evening make for a very pleasant dining experience. As usual @ the cote the set menu is excellent value and the food delicious, the service exemplary. Overall a fist class evening good location for symphony hall or the BBC

THERE WAS AN ERROR WITH ONE OF THE MAIN COURSES BUT WE WERE IMPRESSED THAT THE WAITER WAS MOST APOLOGETIC AND TOOK THE OTHER TWO MEALS AWAY AND THEN SERVED THE THREE CORRECT ONES TOGETHER

Every time I visit the staff and food are always excellent. Everyone I take want to come back, set menu is excellent value for money.

Lovely meal outside in the sunshine. Haddock dish was particularly good. Steak frites was lovely and chicken very tender. Staff excellent. Will go back for another meal.

We visited as a party of 4 on Saturday 17 June 2017 for lunch. Booking in advance was really easy and the facility was extremely useful as my partner's mother is coeliac and ordering from the Gluten Free menu was essential. It was also my partner's birthday and the staff really made a fuss of him, surprising him with a Kir Royale as we were seated and followed by a candle in his Roquefort and a chorus of 'Happy Birthday'!! The staff service was excellent throughout the meal and the food was magnificent and very reasonably priced. I'm a fan of Cote in general, but this branch excelled itself and is my favourite. We will certainly be visiting again and a huge THANK YOU for making the day so very special.

Tasty food, busy service but didn't have to wait. Good wine and good waiting staff. Would have been nice to time the dessert with the mains for one guest and not having to ask twice.

Lovely - food was fresh and delicious and the service was efficient and friendly. I would have given 6 but for the very loud and rather intrusive voice of one of the staff who was having a meeting with other staff members in the corner of the room.

Staff were very polite but the duck I ordered was too rare. I sent it back for more cooking but it came back just the same. Not value for money

Enjoyed an excellent pre dinner and the service was excellent as always. We had the Crab for starters and the salmon for main and the medley of fish.

Not as good as previous visits - food was not particularly hot and they had ran out of wine of choice Sauvignon Blanc waitress also knocked my brothers beer over but didn't replace. Food tasted lovely and had a lovely table outside on a very warm evening. Mixed feelings really.

We had great service as well as great food. We were sitting outside which was a super location next to the canals looking and green wall looking up at the Cube and other great buildings. It was a lovely evening.

We had a good meal, staff friendly and efficient. However we failed to check the bill and only found out later that we had been charged al la carter price instead of special menu price - which was £15.00 too much. I have atlast had the overpayment refunded, but it took a while. Pity really as we enjoyed the meal.

Good food and great service in a beautiful setting! There's a stunning "living wall" bordering the sun trap outside eating area, at the side of the canal. Lovely staff and cooking always spot on!

All the staff were very polite, helpful, and attentive. The service was excellent, and we weren't rushed in between courses. It was spotlessly clean, with a nice ambience, both inside and outside. There is a great choice on the menu, either on the set menu, a la carte, or specials. The food was nice and hot, well presented and very enjoyable. Excellent value for money, considering the location.

Sat outside in the sun - food was perfection - pre theatre menu - such good value. Will continue to return time and time again. Staff superb as usual. Very busy.

I have been here many times, always for the early evening menu... this evening; The service was really good, however the food wasn't great. The tuna rillettes was like the filling of a sandwich, and the 'whole' Camembert main was a half Camembert that most places offer as a starter. I know it's only £10.95 for two courses, but I still expect a full meal... not two starters that don't constitute a main. I ended up picking up a pate on the way home, as I was still hungry... their a la carte menu is fab, but very disappointed with the early evening menu.

This restaurant never fails. The food is always amazing! The staff are very friendly and professional. It is hands down my favourite restaurant. Thank you :)

Cote was just as friendly and reliable as ever for a Sunday lunch catch up with a good friend. You can't beat their steak frites!
