Had a lovely pre- concert meal at Cote brasserie. The lunch and early evening deal is such good value. Great atmosphere, wonderful food and charming service. Definitely will go again, especially as the deal menu changes monthly.
A delight as always. Lovely service and very friendly staff. It's little wonder that this is my go to restaurant in Birmingham. Well priced too.
Plenty of food on both the starter of charcuterie board (Duck), and the 10 Oz sirloin steak which was suckerlant, limited choice on the Largers, pleasant evening although felt slightly rushed.
A delight as always. Lovely service and very friendly staff. It's little wonder that this is my go to restaurant in Birmingham. Well priced too.
This is the second time we have been to Cote for brunch and it was excellent again. Would definitely recommend and am sure we will be back again in future!
Delightful breakfast cooked to our liking. Allowed us to go 'off piste' and mix and match from the breakfast menu which was very well received.
Lovely food and great friendly staff. Restaurant on canal side and outside seating . Fab in the summer. Eaten several times at Côte and always good 😊
Very good service food and wine arrived very promptly. The best swordfish I have ever had from the special menu.Good value for money with a good atmosphere.
Staff and Manager could not have been more welcoming and attentive. Food for a special deal excellent. Booking arrangements easy and efficient well done Cote!

Yet again delicious food! Need to start trying different choices on the menu- but French onion soup, poulet grille and tarte tatin would be difficult to beat!
Great meal out and with very good attentive service. The food was delicious and piping hot. We will certainly be returning to this restaurant soon.
Very warm welcome. Menus plenty of interesting choices though perhaps deserts variety could be improved and made cheaper. Food excellent. Frustrating that group's phone system out of order Sunday afternoon. Staff friendly and attentive. Complimentary drinks appreciated. George Pearce.
Since finding Cote in Jan in Cirencester we've been to 2 other ones in Cheltenham & Leamington. At the Birmingham one today we were a party of 8 for a double birthday celebration. I was disappointed with my meal as the moules were minuscule, a case of molluscs infanticide I'm afraid. Also my meal was so late it arrived when the other seven meals had almost finished. However, there were some good points: good service, nice birthday cakes (thank you) and excellent burgers. We'll go back to the Leamington one and hope their suppliers provide larger mussels in future!!
Great location by the canal at the Mailbox Birmingham. In summer the outside eating and seating is a special treat. Service was charming, professional and attentive. Food really tasty and the early eve/lunch set menu excellent value. Took advantage of my birthday offer from Cotes i.e. free kir royale for myself and guest. Great start to great evening.
We really enjoyed our meal at Cote Brasserie - the food is great and good value for money. The atmosphere is very relaxed and the service was excellent. Would definitely recommend it.
Excellent service, but very uncomfortable bank seating. Food very well cooked and tasty. Great atmosphere and all round good experience. Will definitely recommend to others.
A wide ranging menu with lots of choice. The Staff are extremely helpful and knowledgeable and the food was delicious. The surroundings created a very pleasant ambience.
Delicious meal, served promptly. Helpful staff, free iced water, nice ambiance but music was a bit loud. Reasonable prices for a city centre. Would go back.
Visited on a Saturday evening. The restaurant has an informal, relaxed ambience. Service was good and all staff friendly. Really enjoyed the food. Will visit again.
Great restaurant and food. Staff are excellent I don't like the new booking system though and using the website to book via the rewards club is confusing
Very relaxed atmosphere. Food well cooked & delicious. Early diners menu had great selection & good price. Staff friendly & well presented as was the surroundings. Will definitely go again,
Excellent meal..great setting ....friendly staff and close to theatre, perfect ! Really enjoyed our early three course special....Creme caramel out of this world! Recommend it!,
Lovely atmosphere and food. I have been to cote a few times and have always had a lovely time and the staff are friendly to.
Lunchtime at the Birmingham was quite quiet but nevertheless extremely enjoyable. Staff were excellent. My guest and I both had half a chicken - mine was totally acceptable however my guest felt the texture of his was "somehow wrong" as if it was not fully cooked. But it was (I felt you would want to learn of this although not sure what you could do to rectify. The complimentary red wine was superb.
Lovely food, good value for money and excellent service. A really nice venue will definitely return may be even nicer in the summer to sit outside.
Very good. Staff very helpful. The atmosphere in the restaurant was very warm and inviting. The meal was good quality, hot and reasonably priced. All in all a good experience.
Although the staff were fine and the food good I could'nt recommend this as a place to visit. I spent the time I was there dodging other peoples bottoms. Perhaps i was in the wrong seat ! The noise level was very high
Good selection on lunchtime menu. Reasonably priced food and drink and good, prompt service. We particularly liked the lardon and egg salad starter and the hunter's chicken and parmentier mains.
We had a lunch menu and it arrived quickly and the food was delicious. The waiter ensure that our order was taken quickly and dealt with quickly.
Great food , love the gluten free menu . Lovely area down by the canal. Would recommend to any coeliacs out there.Very helpful staff.5 stars.
Good and fast service, Good attention to detail and excellent food. I like the decor in the restaurant which gives a sense of French brasserie.
Excellent- good food, good value and good service. Ideal restaurant for pre theatre dinner. Will certainly be going again and would highly recommend to friends and family.
Really good dinner, and great friendly staff with attentive service. Had a lovely table by the window to watch the world go by. Favourite restaurant in the Mailbox area.
The service was excellent the surroundings were pleasant but the food lacked a je ne sais quoi. Chain restaurants do not often cook from fresh and that shows in the quality of the food. No comparison to a real French Brasserie.
Great service, didn't have to wait too long, food was tasty and plentiful, I left feeling full but not stuffed. Good value for money, great atmosphere and great food. Would definitely go again and highly recommend it
Nice food. Good location. Had an issue with a voucher offer which was a little bit disappointing but overall enjoyed our afternoon there. 4 out of 6
Love Cote! My wife's fish was undercooked and was sent back. The Manager was apologetic and said would not charge or for bread basket. On return home discovered had been charged. Pity.
Service was exceptional. Food lovely. The Birmingham restaurant is managed perfectly, with a very close attention to detail with both service and food. Having a carafe of water delivered to the table without asking was wonderful (and after all, is the French way) but to have the waiter come and replace it when he saw me finish it was wonderful - particularly bearing in mind I had my back to the restaurant and didn't turn my head to ask for service. A lovely but very important touch. Very well done to the brilliant Sian and her expert team.
Staff are friendly & knowledgeable. Food is excellent. Surroundings are good - handy for the shops and bars of Birmingham. Whats not to like? Well, nothing really. Nuff said.
Excellent meal and service. The staff were all very friendly and attentive. The complimentary bubbly was a nice touch too. Will definitely be returning to this restaurant.
Had a lovely meal at the Cote Brasserie on a Friday evening in March. We arrived before 7pm and so decided to take advantage of the set menu, where two courses are 10.95 or 3 courses are 12.95. We opted for the two courses option and both had a starter and a main. All the food was delicious, the staff were very attentive and prompt in food service. Overall, a wonderful meal, for a good price in a lovely atmosphere.
Great service from friendly and helpful staff. Had to change reservation time because of bad weather. No problem. Good choice menu, good food and cost reasonable
A delight as always. Lovely service and very friendly staff. It's little wonder that this is my go to restaurant in Birmingham. Well priced too.
Always a pleasant experience. Great food with the service to match. Have recommended this restaurant to numerous friends and they have also reciprocated my thoughts.
Excellent food and service. Really liked the table wear and the general feel of the place. Polite and fun staff who made you feel welcome.
Great meal, will go back again. Service was good, specials were attractive and the choice was good. Noise was a little loud but it is based on the mailbox basin so expected
Nice ambience and setting at the Mailbox. Friendly staff and nice food and service. Only let down by poor wine and 12.5% tip already added to bill
I always enjoy eating at Cote. Good menu and value for money. I've introduced lots of my friends and they love it too. I will be going again very soon.
Great breakfast with lots of choice. Nice to see more unusual menu and a vegetarian breakfast choice. Excellent service and attention from the staff. Also great not to feel rushed as we didn't leave until after the lunch menu had started.
Lovely food as always. Staff were attentive but not intrusive. The restaurant is in a great area and looking forward to returning in the summer when we can sit outside.
