As usual Côte was very busy but we were greeted by a smiling face. The food, wine and service was excellent. When we asked for the bill it came promptly and we were on our way. This Côte is consistently good. Well done to everybody concerned.

The brunch could have been served hotter. The formule breakfast is good value. Staff were friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was welcoming and lively. The noise level is high due to the lack of floor covering.

Excellent service, every course superb, lovely free cocktail, all under £50 for 2. Would particularly commend French Onion soup and Belly of Pork.

Very pleasant, efficient staff and lovely that they did as I requested and put us in a quieter part of the restaurant. Absolute bliss that there was no piped music to compete with, at all ! The food was generally tasty and good, though the asparagus risotto was disappointing - over cooked rice and lacking in flavour. Sea bass was the best dish. It was an enjoyable outing, though, all the same.

Lovely staff as always but main course disappointing. A great veal chop ruined with a heavy sprinkling of dried tarragon and no sauce. Your a brasserie, do justice to the meat,! Whats wrong with oil, butter, dusting of flour, sage white wine and seasoning? It is quick, tasty and gives a proper sauce.

Always nice food and good choice! It's not the “cheapest” food but its more then worth it! 🤗 Wouldn’t mind if the prices per glas of wine was a bit less.... 😔 but good qualities 😉

After dinning at the Cardiff cotes brassiere last year with my husband and being so impressed I was really keen to take my mum to her local cotes brassiere in Bristol! We were both really disappointed with the entrance into the building! Whilst the restaurant from the front and indeed inside is superb it is bitterly let down by the heavy curtains that adorn the lobby area! It makes it look like you are either entering a funeral parlour or a big top circus! Not a very classy look. I also feel it would of been nice to of had some delicate french music playing as my mum and I were some of the first lunch time diners in the restaurant it felt a little awkward and quite!

A group of 8 of us visited the restaurant for a birthday celebration and we were well looked over throughout the whole of our visit. The staff are always welcoming, charming and obliging. The food was perfect too. All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

Lovely meal great venue and good staff. Menu good but needs a vegan choice.

Good, except the mussels in the fish stew weren’t quite right; some hadn’t opened and some that had opened were ‘disappointing ‘ - they were not ‘off’ but they had no good fleshy centre that could be extracted ( I am very familiar with eating mussels). Service and the rest of the meal were good - as usual.

Really enjoyed the overall experience with my family Good and friendly service in pleasant atmosphere..will certainly recommend to our friends albeit i it’s one we have visited on many occasions over the past years

Always good. Food great, service great. Whole experience excellent Would recommend to friends. Have visited many times. Would recommend most dishes but really enjoy the fish parmienter. Delicious desserts also. Will be back again siib.

Clifton Cote very good service and excellent food as always. However unfortunately my group of three were put between two very noisy tables which spoilt the evening a little. Will try another branch next time.....

Good food, service and atmosphere. The staff appeared rushed at times (understaffed?) but still gave good service. Looking forward to next visit and May's menu. Perhaps more Spring vegetables?

Very much enjoyed our meal, the service was excellent, we would have preferred a table that wasn't next to the blue dividing curtain, especially as the Restaurant was quiet when we arrived. Next time we will ask to sit somewhere less claustrophobic.

This restaurant is great, the staff are fantastic with kids and always welcoming. We had the chateaubriand for the dad's for father's Day, chicken and duck dishes. All good!!

It was my partners 30th birthday which I had input on the special requests section when booking. On arrival we were both given a complimentary drink and when we ordered a pudding it came with a candle and a happy birthday message. Overall amazing service, quality of food superb and great ambiance. We have never had a bad meal at this restaurant and will soon be returning!

The pork belly was delicious !Great service. The tables are rather close together.

It was a great atmosphere and the staff were very attentive. Food was really nice, from starter through to our sweet. Isaac one of our waiters was a pleasure to have looking after us. Will return again soon.

What a wonderful place and how clever they are, as a company, to keep up the quality in this chain. Tarteflette and Boudin sausage were the specials for the month - so we had to go. Perfect! What was so special was I wanted a double portion of Boudin - to starters as a main. The chef beautifully arranged my order on a bigger plate. A true professional!

Generally very good. It was a very busy Sunday with a large group just behind us so enevitably it was quite loud.Food was tasty. Service could have been a tad faster but no real problems to speak of. Reasonably good value for money.

Always like our lunches here. It suits us well. I'd love the waiters to look over at our table more though. We usually wait between courses & for the bill but I know I'm usually in a rush so probably more about me!

The service was very friendly as usual and the food was cooked to perfection. We had duck that was just pink and full of flavour, we also had pork that was very tender and tasty.

Great atmosphere, food and service. Food very good, although one of the puddings had been in the fridge too long and the pastry had dried out leaving the lemon filling stranded. However, not charged for the failed dessert and we left having enjoyed a relaxing evening.

A very enjoyable lunch for 9 persons and whilst in general we were well looked after, the food could of been served slightly warmer and on hotter plates

Friendly helpful staff, lovely food and atmosphere. Despite it being a busy Saturday night our food and service was to Cote's consistently good standard. Really easy to book a table online too.

We had a lovely meal in a very pleasant atmos with fine standard of service. The only thing that rankles...is the «  optional » service charge. Please let us choose how much to give .

Lovely meal, pleasant surroundings, good service. Been here many times before. A celebratory lunch so very successful. My husband always likes s coffee with his dessert but this request received”I can’t promise but I’ll do my best”. The coffee arrived with the dessert but we fail to see why it would have been a problem.

My fiancèe and I had a lovely experience at Côte in Clifton Village, the steaks and the chocolate fondants were perfectly cook and they were complimented with friendly service.

Excellent service, nice surroundings, food tasted great. I would have given 6 stars but the pastry on the lemon tart was not right - it was soft.

Fantastic choices on menu! Always brilliant food and helpful staff. Cote is one of my favourite restaurants in Clifton, you can always guarantee exquisite food!

Very good meal on Sunday afternoon,service was good and great value for money.Would recommend giving a try. Staff were very helpful and we arrived at a busy time but were seated within 5 minutes.

Not often necessary to book, but easy online to be certain of a table. Very wide selection on the menu of French themed favourites. Excellent service from the professional staff. Definitely returning soon!

Excellent brunch, good value with efficient staff. A great way to spend Sunday morning.

Had a lovely meal last night.The food quality was up to the usual standard. Our table was booked for 6.45pm on a saturday night. The service initially was very good, we got our drinks and starters quite quickly. The restaurant then began to fill up and we waited over 30 minutes for our main course and another 10 - 15 minutes for our dessert. The service is usually excellent at Cote. They obviously had a very full restaurant. It wouldn't put me off going again though, as the staff are generally very polite and friendly and the food consistently good.
