Excellent food, very busy for a Sunday evening so they must be doing things right. Only criticism is the 12.5 pc service charge on everything, about time this was stamped out.

Good surroundings but meal size not very impressive , chose meal from Presige menu. Good service and prompt delivery. . Adequate choice on menu with good wine choice .

Thursday night, very pleasant staff and fairly good service although we had to wait about 10 minutes before we were asked about drinks. The spinach and mushroom crepes were disappointing. The food tasted as though it had been made some time before and then heated up. The crepes were tasteless.

Very pleasant, efficient staff and lovely that they did as I requested and put us in a quieter part of the restaurant. Absolute bliss that there was no piped music to compete with, at all ! The food was generally tasty and good, though the asparagus risotto was disappointing - over cooked rice and lacking in flavour. Sea bass was the best dish. It was an enjoyable outing, though, all the same.

We had a very enjoyable evening and we could not fault the food, staff and ambiance. We had a large party booked and the service was spot on. We will most definitely recommend your restaurant to friends and family and we will definitely come back again. Excellent value for money.

After dinning at the Cardiff cotes brassiere last year with my husband and being so impressed I was really keen to take my mum to her local cotes brassiere in Bristol! We were both really disappointed with the entrance into the building! Whilst the restaurant from the front and indeed inside is superb it is bitterly let down by the heavy curtains that adorn the lobby area! It makes it look like you are either entering a funeral parlour or a big top circus! Not a very classy look. I also feel it would of been nice to of had some delicate french music playing as my mum and I were some of the first lunch time diners in the restaurant it felt a little awkward and quite!

Excellent food and service on a weekday luncheon. We, a party of four, would recommend the calamari, crab mayonaisse, rump of lamb, roasted cod and pork loin. Noise levels sadly are the only downside.

Clifton Cote very good service and excellent food as always. However unfortunately my group of three were put between two very noisy tables which spoilt the evening a little. Will try another branch next time.....

Excellent service. Delicious food and good value. We arrived 10 minutes early and were sat straight away. Our waitress was brilliant. We had food from the prestige set menu and it was excellent value; I recommend the pork belly.

We received a warm welcome and were seated vey quickly. Service as usual was prompt and attentive and the food was excellent. The restaurant was very busy so a little noisy but this didn't impact on a very enjoyable evening.

What a wonderful place and how clever they are, as a company, to keep up the quality in this chain. Tarteflette and Boudin sausage were the specials for the month - so we had to go. Perfect! What was so special was I wanted a double portion of Boudin - to starters as a main. The chef beautifully arranged my order on a bigger plate. A true professional!

Generally very good. It was a very busy Sunday with a large group just behind us so enevitably it was quite loud.Food was tasty. Service could have been a tad faster but no real problems to speak of. Reasonably good value for money.

Booked for a Mother’s Day treat and we were not disappointed. The food was fantastic (great fougasse and créme caramel!), service impeccable, and the atmosphere was wonderful. Highly recommended.

Always enjoy visits to Cote but today it was particularly noisy as there was a birthday party on the next table. Difficult to hear and enjoy a normal conversation.

Excellent service, nice surroundings, food tasted great. I would have given 6 stars but the pastry on the lemon tart was not right - it was soft.

A really lovely meal and I'm not sure what you can do about noisy neighbours, Not that it was nearly as bad as I've known it, but why do people have to shout? no-one was being intentionally inconsiderate, but maybe restaurants should invest in better sound absorption, There must be ways that don't involve carpets, curtains and hushed reverence.

This was are third visit and again just fantastic. The food is consistently great and the service is exceptional with very attentive and well trained staff who make you so welcome Thanks

Had a lovely meal last night.The food quality was up to the usual standard. Our table was booked for 6.45pm on a saturday night. The service initially was very good, we got our drinks and starters quite quickly. The restaurant then began to fill up and we waited over 30 minutes for our main course and another 10 - 15 minutes for our dessert. The service is usually excellent at Cote. They obviously had a very full restaurant. It wouldn't put me off going again though, as the staff are generally very polite and friendly and the food consistently good.

Food was very good. The restaurant was very busy and this meant service wasn’t as good as it has been in the past. Had to wait and repeat requests which is a shame.

We really enjoyed our meal. The food and ambience was excellent and very good value. Would definitely revisit if we are in the Bristol area again
