Very Good but disappointed that the Onion soup wasn’t on the menu !
Food was excellent, atmosphere buzzy although it was a little more crowded than I expected. Service was good. Overall a pleasant experience
It was lovely to see your team back and if anything more enthusiastic than ever. Very enjoyable evening.
Visited at lunchtime on their end day of post lockdown opening. Lovely meal, great atmosphere and faultless service. Thank you.
One meal (of 4) was disappointing which is one of those things - otherwise all as good as ever. We will return
The service was slow but it was only there first day re opened
Usual Cote performance - menu and staff back and firing on all cylinders!
Great atmosphere, delicious food..so delighted to be able to visit Cote in Clifton again....how we’ve missed it!! The waiting team were as friendly and efficient as ever...thank you, we’ll be back again very soon.
Been waiting for Cote’s to open back up and it did not disappoint.. 5 star food and service. Booked again for next.
Great place, very good food and wine at very fair prices. Will be back. S
Very pleasant, efficient staff and lovely that they did as I requested and put us in a quieter part of the restaurant. Absolute bliss that there was no piped music to compete with, at all ! The food was generally tasty and good, though the asparagus risotto was disappointing - over cooked rice and lacking in flavour. Sea bass was the best dish. It was an enjoyable outing, though, all the same.
A group of 8 of us visited the restaurant for a birthday celebration and we were well looked over throughout the whole of our visit. The staff are always welcoming, charming and obliging. The food was perfect too. All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable experience.
Lovely meal great venue and good staff. Menu good but needs a vegan choice.
We went along for the early evening meal deal. One of our party is a vegan. She was given the vegan menu, but when she asked if this was on the offer was told, no, it's more expensive. So a) she is being penalised for being vegan and b) vegan food has no meat or dairy so we are really struggling to understand how that could end up being more expensive. It took two members of staff and much discussion around whether or not she could have the deal. It was so confusing we just gave up and think she ended up paying full price. The service was hit and miss for most of the evening - really under staffed with only a couple of waiting staff running around trying to do everything. The food is nice but the rest could do with some work.
Good, except the mussels in the fish stew weren’t quite right; some hadn’t opened and some that had opened were ‘disappointing ‘ - they were not ‘off’ but they had no good fleshy centre that could be extracted ( I am very familiar with eating mussels). Service and the rest of the meal were good - as usual.
Really enjoyed the overall experience with my family Good and friendly service in pleasant atmosphere..will certainly recommend to our friends albeit i it’s one we have visited on many occasions over the past years
Excellent food and service on a weekday luncheon. We, a party of four, would recommend the calamari, crab mayonaisse, rump of lamb, roasted cod and pork loin. Noise levels sadly are the only downside.
Great service and lovely food. We were made to feel so welcome and excellent value. Steak and wine great, few more French fries would have been perfect. Praline Crepe epic
Fantastic food, fantastic service, buzzing atmosphere and excellent value...thank you for a wonderful meal. We will be back for our next date night/night off from the children!
Everything great except one portion of whitebait had some hot but some were cold. As in a group it wasn't worth sending it back, otherwise would have.
A justifiably busy restaurant with friendly professional staff and good food at sensible prices. Nice atmosphere, if a little noisy. Good for business people and couples.
The restaurants in Clifton get pretty booked at peak periods but thanks to the large capacity, Cote Brasserie could accommodate us for lunch. They were very helpful even when we had to amend our booking (originally submitted online). The premises are rather long following the contour of the street, so has multiple levels with steps up to each area (something to allows for with disabled guests). The layout means there is lots of window area to observed the passersby. The young staff were friendly and efficient, making us feel welcome. We only had a main course so that may have accounted for the delay in serving but it wasn't a problem. The food itself was very good and the rib-eye steak was one of the most tasty and best cooked (rare) I have tasted in quite some time. The tuna steak was equally well cooked with a subtle smoke flavour enhancing the taste experience. The Chicken and Walnut salad was also greatly enjoyed by two of our party. There was a bit of the "self assembly" required of the dishes e.g. fries in pots, etc but not too bad. We also felt for the environment and high quality food, the prices were pleasingly reasonable. A very pleasing experience beyond what we normally expect for a chain. Well done. PS I have posted this to Tripadvisor as well
Lovely staff as always but main course disappointing. A great veal chop ruined with a heavy sprinkling of dried tarragon and no sauce. Your a brasserie, do justice to the meat,! Whats wrong with oil, butter, dusting of flour, sage white wine and seasoning? It is quick, tasty and gives a proper sauce.
Great food and great service. Amazing first experience at this restaurant
We had a great experience with great company, the food is always amazing every time we go which is why we always go for birthdays and celebrations etc...
We feel very comfortable and welcome, the staff explained the service very efficiently. It was slightly noisy at first but we didn’t notice this after a glass of wine.
Really enjoyable evening. Good atmosphere and servic.plus excellent food and a really good bottle of Merlot - a really enjoyable evening and a wonderful way to celebrate a special birthday.
I’ve been Cote several of times and the food quality never let me down! One thing I would not recommen is the steak, I just personally do not like it.
Very busy but excellent customer service, polite and helpful staff and well cooked and presented breakfasts.
Great value for money! Service tip top. Wine very reasonable and food on point. The atmosphere was very convivial for friends and family. With such an extensive menu was very impressed with the quality and delivery of the food. Well done to all the Clifton Village team. Very well deserved congratulations
Great lunch with the Gang! Excellent everything! That’s why we keep coming back! Best food, service and atmosphere-well done every one involved! See you again soon JP
Excellent food and service. Highly recommended for early evening mid week meal for the family. Config duck and Breton Chicken enjoyed by all. Will visit again soon hopefully
Great service, very friendly, good food, great atmosphere - absolutely no complaints - what else is there to say - best Cote restaurant in the South-West
Lovely food, brilliant service. We always come back as it’s always good.
As always, a quality ambiance, friendly and attentive staff and delicious authentic flavours across the menu. Overall a relaxing and satisfying experience - perhaps one of the best of the chain that we know.
A wonderful atmosphere, food was superb and the staff were friendly and helpful. We will use Cote Brasseries again and totally recommend it. Clifton, Bristol was full on a Sunday evening, supporting our view that it is a great place to eat.
Great atmosphere & the staff were very efficient & friendly
We were well looked after and had some great food. Lovely way to spend my wife’s birthday Special drinks and desert were a nice touch. Will be returning soon
After dinning at the Cardiff cotes brassiere last year with my husband and being so impressed I was really keen to take my mum to her local cotes brassiere in Bristol! We were both really disappointed with the entrance into the building! Whilst the restaurant from the front and indeed inside is superb it is bitterly let down by the heavy curtains that adorn the lobby area! It makes it look like you are either entering a funeral parlour or a big top circus! Not a very classy look. I also feel it would of been nice to of had some delicate french music playing as my mum and I were some of the first lunch time diners in the restaurant it felt a little awkward and quite!
Food and service was first class. Extensive choices on the menu. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Will definitely be coming again when we visit Bristol.
