We went for a working lunch, so we asked for a quiet table and that's exactly what we were given, well away from the hustle & bustle of the main seating area. The food and wine were first class, the service friendly and efficient without being obtrusive. Excellent!

As a veggie It was lovely to have a choice on the veggie menu as I am normally lucky if there are 2 options, the food was different and very tasty. We were not rushed and had plenty of time to catch up with friends news as we made our selections - we have booked our next meal as we were so impressed

I gave my overall experience top marks for quality of food, service and attention to my gluten-free requirements. My friend, however, was not so happy with her mains course, French cottage pie and peas. She said there was very little beef in the dish and along with the peas (she left most of them) the meal was lacking in taste. And why the pretence that the pie was French -it was very much English but not as good as she could have cooked herself?!

Lunch today (14th Feb 2019) for my Wife and I for our first visit to Cote Brasserie, Quackers Friars, Bristol, on the 45th anniversary of our first date. Starters of Moules Mariniere and Crab Mayonnaise with Sourdough toasted bread were lovely and the Mains of Lamb Rump and Duck breast were sublime. The staff were very pleasant and helpful, ensuring that all tables were attended to regularly and efficiently. We will definitely visit again. Graham & Diane Mills

Great service. Portion size was just right. Food quality was good. Steak was cooked ecsctly as my wife asked for. Wine list extensive. Perhaps cocktails as an option would be the only thing I would add.

We first visited a Cote brasserie in Weybridge & loved it so we thought we would give the Bristol branch a visit & we were equally delighted. The food was great & service first class - thourouly recommend you visit if in the city.

I will be honest we chose Cote because most of our usual preferred haunts were not open on a Sunday evening. Never dined at a Cote before, yet we were treated like valued regular customers. Genuinely could not fault anything abut our visit. We were there to celebrate our wedding anniversary, after our experience its would not be a surprise to find we will be celebrating future ones there too. Great welcome, fast service, quality food well cooked.

I always enjoy my meals at Cote, either the Clifton or Quakers Friars sites. The food is consistently good and the service is friendly and competent. If anyone asked me to recommend a restaurant in Bristol I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Cote.

The service felt rushed, our starter plates hadn't been cleared and our mains were upon us. We only booked here because we had such a nice meal at the Gloucester Quays branch; my wife had the salmon again, this time it was quite overcooked. I had the Breton fish stew, unlike the last time the potatoes were undercooked as was the leek, there was an abundance of vegetables in the sauce that werent there previously. Also, the prawns were over cooked and tough, there were clam shells , but no sign of calms. I general ate very little and informed the service staff of my disappointment.

I had my 30th birthday dinner here with my family. We were a big table of 17 (we did pre order) and staff coped brilliantly with us. As we wanted to have different bills for food and drink so we all knew who had to pay what amount ect. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was cooked perfectly, everyone said what a lovely meal they'd all had. And I know cater for big party can be hard but they were great. I would definitely recommend.

Brilliant dinner with friends on a weekday evening. Ate from the Prestige menu. I am a vegetarian and a couple of choices were available on this special menu. Super waiter with a good sense of humour. No buzz in the place, we were the only guests as evening progressed. That’s the only slight negative. Would definitely recommend.

Good food and a nice atmosphere- meet-up of old school friends so we had lots to catch up on and took a while. We never felt rushed and with the offer, we had a free G&T with each main course. It was quite an expensive ‘lunch’ but the food was was very good. Some mains (even those at £16.95) needed additional sides though. Would definitely go back though.

Great food and atmosphere, but I am a bit annoyed with the staff for presenting us with 3 Kier Royales - they knew one of us had a birthday cos I put a note when I reserved a table- but they then put the 3 drinks on the bill. I did not request the drinks, they brought them over without us asking for them! I did not query this as I am obviously not going to do this in front of the birthday girl!

Overall the food and atmosphere was lovely. Unfortunately ruined by the rudeness of the waiter. Was ordering potato side with main dish but informed there was a fennel and potato mash so i changed my side choice. When the food came out, i politely told the waiter that theres no potato included and he admitted his error. I asked if i could change my veg side to the potato that i had originally ordered however he walked off with a huff (very rudely) before i had finished speaking. Also had rudeness regarding extra copy of the bill. Overall service has put me off wanting to return.

Lovely food and excellent vegetarian choices, nice to have a dedicated menu. Service generally good although a bit slow when it comes to paying the bill. Unfortunately visit slightly marred by some very loud customers at the table next to us, hard to hear what each other were saying. But that's not the restaurant's fault!
