My husband and I have dined in Cote many times and usually have no complaints at all, today though we had to send the bill back twice, the first time we noticed we had been charged for a complimentary bottle of wine and when it was brought to us again we were charged for an extra main meal we had not ordered, there was no problem when we queried it but had we not checked the bill we would of been over charged by about £35. Not impressed. Not up to the usual standard! No complaints about our meal though.
They have a great menu,it was hard to choose. Everyone really enjoyed everything they ate, good value for money and we all said we will definitely return soon.
Great service. Portion size was just right. Food quality was good. Steak was cooked ecsctly as my wife asked for. Wine list extensive. Perhaps cocktails as an option would be the only thing I would add.
I will be honest we chose Cote because most of our usual preferred haunts were not open on a Sunday evening. Never dined at a Cote before, yet we were treated like valued regular customers. Genuinely could not fault anything abut our visit. We were there to celebrate our wedding anniversary, after our experience its would not be a surprise to find we will be celebrating future ones there too. Great welcome, fast service, quality food well cooked.
Lovely staff and beautiful atmosphere, the food was cooked to perfection and served at a good temperature. The setting was perfect and quaint compared to the busy streets of Bristol. Would highly recommend
Some really good and reasonable priced food, combined with a genuine warm welcome and great service from the guys at Cote Brasserie in Bristol Quakers Friars.
Good food, friendly staff. all at a fair price. (the only exception being drinks) Will do it again. I booked a table online although it wasn't busy on a Tuesday evening. We all enjoyed it.
We went for Brunch , it was excellent value and really tasty. The staff are always helpful and friendly.
Excellent meal and excellent service. Lacking in ambiance. blurb.
We had a lovely birthday celebration lunch yesterday to celebrate our twin sons 40th birthdays. We were a party of 16 and we were catered for very well. The food was good and hot. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars is because when I phoned up to check something, I found that they had no record of our booking which was made at least a week or two weeks earlier . What would have happened if 16 of us turned up and there was no table for us ?!!
Lovely Sunday lunch, relaxed atmosphere with great service. Great choice on the menus and the complimentary cocktails were lovely Will definitely take advantages if the offers that are sent via email in future.
Our visit to Cote was early evening so it was quite. We were made very welcome and the meal and the service we recieved were excellent.
Great location and good to have set menus on offer although it would be good to see the dessert options on these menus change from time to time.
From the moment we arrived we were well looked after. The food was wonderful and service was great. A special treat for my wife’s birthday. Special thanks to Diana.
Really lovely staff who were attentive but unobtrusive. My mum was running late but they sorted some wine out for me while i waited and were generally just lush. Food was delicious and v timely. Overall would def recommend and would go again.
Even though with everything going on with Coronavirus we chose to enjoy a meal out. Your restaurant was quiet but the staff were lovely. The food was excellent as always. Care was taken that none of us patrons were sat close to each other. The young lady at the quakers friars restaurant was very polite, knowledgeable and helpful. Thank you to her and the chef
A cozy restaurant also for bigger groups. The pre-ordering system was functional, and special thanks for having the gluten-free menu.
The start of the evening went well once the food order was given the service went downhill, we tried to get the attention of a member of staff for more wine which it seemed he did not want to make eye contact though he was not busy. Eventually another member of staff came over and then spoke to our waiter. NOT GOOD.
Lunch with friends, Excellent service and the food was lovely, the staff are always friendly and happy to answers any questions about the food.
Lovely food and service as always and a great atmosphere.
Generally food as usual was excellent. Steak was disappointing and swapped for tenderloin which was delicious and so tender. The Syrah wine was delicious.
It was a pleasant meal in good surroundings. The food was great and the staff coped admirably with our party of 20 people. No bother with our group payment either - we often have problems.
It felt very noisy and not very relaxing. The food was ok but my friend had steak frite which was very chewy but we were refunded so satisfied with outcome.
A first class choice of breakfast items within a reasonable price range.
Had a lovely lunch with friends. Service was excellent and so were food choices. Good quality food as always.
Food very average, definitely not worth the money we paid.We go to Cote often, first time here at Quakers Friars. We had better food at other branches, best one is Worcester our home town.
Lovely food but Even as a small eater I found myself leaving the restaurant and grabbing something to eat on the way to the car (I had the half chicken) the same dish at browns is much larger , service was good service but dislike the automatic 12.5% added service charge, I always tip for good service but feel this should never be imposed.
A lovely meal - excellent friendly and very professional service, thank you.
Excellent laid back breakfast, a perfect venue for my business meeting.
Great food and excellent service. Decor very contemporary and comfortable.
An excellent choice for anyone wishing for a mouth watering breakfast.
lovely meal as always, great value for money, will definitely book again.
Too many menus with too much to choose from. If you’re gonna do the lunch offer (which is great) keep it simple and just have the regular a la carte and then the offer not the extra choice of another offer menu. Staff were not very engaging and friendly. Could have been more open and friendly. Completely missed the possibility to engage with us as it was my birthday and did not register this at all. Food was great (calamari starter was flavourless and dry) but service could be better
I cannot thank the team enough for making my meal on Saturday evening really magical-service from our waitress was very good and food delicious!! Thank you very much!!!
Lovely meal within easy reach of both Broadmead and the Hippodrome.
I ordered the burger which was expensive for what it was, it tasted very plain with no relish or seasoning and both patty and brioche was dry. However, both of my friends dishes were great. Our main took 55 minutes to come from ordering which we thought was a long time especially as one of us hadn't ordered a starter. When we asked where our food was we were told the chefs don't start preparing the main until we had finished our starter, however we had finished our starter 20 minutes before our server took our plates away. One of our waiters was very friendly and cheerful, and there was a nice atmosphere. They also kept our table for us even though we were half an hour late due to traffic which was great, although they made a point that they wouldn't have done this if they were busy so I am unsure why they mentioned it?
The staff are always so polite & helpful no matter when you visit. The food we cannot fault ,never having a bad meal here. Today we had salmon with fennel etc which was succulent & very tasty & confit duck leg which was perfectly cooked & from a "fat" duck as there was plenty of meat on the bone. A couple of glasses of Merlot completed the meal leaving no room for a pudding sadly. We will return in a few weeks when the menu changes again.
Lovely food in a fantastic environment, good value as well - thank you!
Few mishaps which were annoying, maybe due to technology or newish waitress, but food was good.
Excellent service and the was delicious. Waiter was very attentive and made us feel very welcome .
We had a table booked on Friday. When we arrived the person that greeted us seemed very dis interested and popped us on our table. We asked to move to a nicer table as the restaurant was empty and he just rolled his eyes and said 'yea!' We had just been wedding dress shopping and when this waiter came back to the table he acknowledged the dress and just said 'how much was that then?!' During the whole evening we had to get his attention for drinks, the bill etc. I love coming to cote and usually go to the Clifton branch. I have to say that i wouldn't go back to the Quakers friars branch again.
Very nice lunch and overall good service and cocktails very nice
Excellent food and outstanding service we were also fitted in by the restaurant on a busy night
Good ambiance, good service, good food. That’s all one needs.
Shared a lovely meal with a group of friends, great food, great company.
Thank you for a lovely meal. We were served by two very friendly members of staff who couldn't have been more attentive. Food arrived quickly and was faultless. Lovely quality food, ambient atmosphere and welcoming staff. Will definitely be back again
Once again thank you Cote for a super Gluten Free meal. Delicious as always. We thoroughly enjoyed the blood orange martinis. So sorry we couldn't stay for dessert, as we were going to the cinema. Always can eat here with confidence.
Very enjoyable birthday lunch was had by myself and family
Excellent food, great value on weekend menu and service very good. Weren’t over bothered by staff allowing me and my friends great opportunity to catch up. Regular customer.
Unfortunately there was an issue in the kitchen and with a party of 7, 5 main meals came out with the remaining 2 arriving after complaining and everyone nearly finishing. The manager did apologise and gave us all a free dessert, which we were grateful for. We have always enjoyed Cotè but this put a dampener on the expectations we have of the chain.
