Nice meal up to the usual Cote standards. Food well cooked and presented. A problem with the bill - extra items added but soon sorted.

The staff did put the balloons on the table prior to our arrival as requested but once seated we waited some fifteen mins or more before anyone came to offer us a drink. I had to go up to the reception area and tell the staff that we were ready for our kir royal drinks. When the food arrived we were not offered any condiments. The burgers were luke warm. (three) Two of our party sent them back for them only to arrive still luke warm. My daughter ate hers but I sent mine back a second time. This was hot when it arrived back and I was then offered condiments by a different member of staff that served us the first time. (everyone else had finished their meals by this time) Not much in the way of smiles either for a double celebration. My daughters engagement and my partners birthday. The manager did remove the price of the two burgers, but to be honest we would rather of paid and enjoyed them.

I haven’t been to Bristol restaurant for quite some time and it has changed, very positively, since my last visit. The staff were attentive, friendly and most notably seemed happy to be working which wasn’t the case last time. Compliments to the chef and kitchen staff, the food was superb, and the lunch time menu is very good value for money. Planning our next visit already..

Me and my partner booked a table at the restaurant a few weeks in advance to celebrate our first anniversary. When we arrived at the restaurant a complimentary glass of Prosecco each, a lovely bouquet of flowers and a thoughtful anniversary card greeted us! My partner thought I was trying to surprise them, but it was a wonderful surprise from a restaurant that went absolutely above and beyond to make sure they did anything they could to ensure we had the perfect date. The dinner was lovely, we had some hors d'oeuvres to begin with and then starters and mains from their set menu. I had the onion soup as the starter and the butternut squash and pecan Ravioli as a main, I thoroughly enjoyed them both! Only feedback I would have is that it would be nice if there was more than one vegetarian friendly option on the set menu for the mains, however the ravioli was delicious. We were nice and full after enjoying the starter and the mains, and didn’t feel the need to order a dessert, but we had a lovely surprise when the waiter bought out a desert with happy anniversary inscribed in chocolate on the plate, such a thoughtful gesture. The staff were lovely, friendly and accommodating and couldn’t do more to make us feel welcomed if they wanted too. We will definitely be coming back soon for a visit as just regular punters without an occasion, you have won a set of very impressed regular customers! Thanks again for all the effort that was put In to making our special day that much more special.

Lobster tails disappointing dry fairly tasteless seemed to have been refried, haddock dish also not up to your usual standard. Duck with cherry sauce good flavour but almost raw, previously it had been perfect. Staff very helpful as usual. Very palatable and good value. I am a regular client.

I have visited Cote on many occasions to enjoy breakfast. I always order your vegetarian breakfast without avocado and with bacon, odd I know but Cote staff are always happy to accommodate. Our breakfasts arrived promptly and I tucked in enthusiastically! Sadly I encountered something very hard that I bit into on the second mouthful of the veggie sausage, I was shocked when I removed the offending item from my mouth to find it was a stone! I called a lady member of staff over who saw the item and tried to tell me that it was a seed. No apology at all took my breakfast and replaced it. The charge for my breakfast was kindly removed from the bill without my asking but I was sadly very disappointed by the lack of acknowledgement as to what was found in my food, no explanation as to how this will be followed up. Does this mean someone else may get the same thing happen to them. Surely this is a quality control issue? Most of all The lady who came over made me feel uncomfortable and as If I had done something wrong, rather than giving me an apology and acknowledging what had happened. Disappointed is an understatement! Shame I have been to the Quakers site restaurant several times and will question going again.

Absolutely wonderful. Booked for my daughter's birthday, we were seated in our chosen seat, served with a smile and promptly. Total value for money and look forward to visiting again.

The waitresses should have paid more attention to their customers. We have tried to get their attention to receive a bill or order more drinks and they would sometimes ignore us.

As usual the food was amazing and the service/staff faultless. One member of our party didn't know which desert wine to order so they brought one of each, one on the house!! What a lovely gesture and very rare these days, brilliant.

Lovely meal spoiled by the lack of attention at the end of the meal. We waited ages to pay our bill, even though the bill itself arrived promptly when asked, so the staff were aware we were ready to leave. The restaurant was not busy at the time.
