Côte Cambridge

The overall experience was let down by poorly trained waiting staff. We ordered bread and olives and had barely started eating them when our main course arrived, likewise the bottle of wine was bought to our table and poured into glasses before we had finished drinking our aperitif drinks. The whole time we felt rushed.

Always enjoy visiting Cote in Cambridge, it offers consistently good & friendly service with great food. Always like to take advantage of then special lunch/pre theatre menu as it is such good value.

Good food attentative staff, nice location, friendly atmosphere all round good place. Nice celebratory menu with decent size decent portions, will be back in October.

Lovely service, nice waiting staff. Who were very helpful. Food not quite as nice as in their restaurant in Clifton, Bristol . I will visit again.

Nice food, service was fine. The starter and mains were all excellent but the desserts ranged from poor to underwhelming. Good wine list and overall good value.

Chose the special anniversary menu which was delicious and really good value. Attentive service, not hurried at all and an alcove table made this get together with friends a really special and enjoyable occasion. Would definitely go back.

Food was very good and the waiters extremely pleasant and helpful. Lovely to see a separate menu for vegetarian options, which was what made us choose Cote in the first place.

Thoughtful ,intelligent and sympathetic help with seating a group with handicapped praticipants among them . Excellent varied menu in tune with September and a delicious Confit de canard ,rich and rare mellow and a lovely crusty skin . Creme caramel ,as if from a normandy good restaurant . And I forgot to mention the imaginative side dish of Warm ,golden beetroot ,as starter,or side for the duck . All worth the diversion ,or vaut le detour as the French would guide you to a good place with serious attention to a serious subject -FOOD ! A real brasserie . N.

We went for our Wedding Anniversary we had the best time. Staff are lovely and nothing is too much for them, wonderful atmosphere beautiful food. Fantastic experience will definitely be going again.

Always good value and excellent service. No wonder it is always busy and it is advisable to book. The French flavours on the menu are authentic and the food is well presented.

Very good lunch menu. Lovely food and wine. Good service. Good value. Only niggle is the tortuous route to the toilets which are up hard to negotiate stairs

The only chain restaurant where I'll order a steak in the UK. Excellent as always. Attentive and prompt service without being rushed. Always a pleasure

Love this restaurant. I went to the Manchester branch last week and the food and service was excellent. I was so impressed by the chain I booked a place at the Cambridge branch this week

Food delicious, service excellent-very enjoyable evening. We ordered Viognier to drink with our meal and it was as nice if not better than one we drank earlier in a wine bar. Food was cooked to perfection but the highlight of evening was the first class service received from every member of staff, they are brilliant.

We love Cote - it's our regular for a low key supper out. This time was for my partner's birthday, together with some close friends. Food is excellent, authentic and very good value for money. Good, affordable wine list too. Oh - and consistently great service

Great food, attentive service and a "dual aspect" table in the window looking out onto Bridge St. Very good meal, thank you, and I'm sure we will be back! Oh, and Happy 10th anniversary!

Friendly efficient service, but not rushed. Good food at a reasonable price. We had the pre-theatre set menu option as we had tickets for a play later int he evening.

Food good, service a little erratic. When the Prime Minister turned up it all went crazy. Cameras flashing, paparazzi in the soup, secret service everywhere. I think she had the turbot with creme fraiche but it was difficult to see from where we sat. Our waitress Manuela spoke excellent English and took our orders in a mixture of sonnet and haiku

I regularly come to this restaurant and the food is consistently good. On the rare occasions there has been a problem it has been sorted out quickly and appropriately.

As usual very good service, good food all at a reasonable price. Did charge me extra because I wanted a dessert from the special offer menu though

As first time visitors to Cambridge we decided to visit cote brasserie and we were not disappointed. From the friendly efficient staff to the excellent extensive choice on the menu followed by the hot and tasty food served it was an evening to remember. Thank you

All 7 in the group were served at the same time with piping hot food. The staff were friendly and helpful. Would all go again

Enjoyed my meal. We were seated in good time. Service was good. Only complaint I have is the size of the potions. I started with the goats cheese and thought the size was minimal. Similarly the size of the ice cream scoop under the pancake was very small. There was no coffee on the menu We did enjoy our meal it was our anniversary and we would go again. Just little things were dissapointing.

Good food, nice choice of menus, attentive staff, good atmosphere in pleasant surroundings, would happily return., as we had a very pleasant and enjoyable evening.

The 3 staff on duty, Nico, Evelina, & Agata went out of their way to make it a memorable event. The "Happy Birthday" dessert was a big surprise. I enjoyed myself very much

Regular visit to our favourite Cambridge eatery - Cote never fails. Monthly change of set menu which we used on this visit; fish dishes cooked to perfection - staff as friendly and helpful as ever.

Extensive menu and something for everyone. Ambiance was just right. Service wad very good, attentive but not over the top and offering good advice on the menu. Quality of food was good and would definitely go back.

Excellent choice menu and well served with a great view of busy Cambridge. Mind you it was not very cheap and I have said enough

Loved it! Good choice on both menus. Chose 3 course from set menu. Food was delicious, piping hot and excellent value. Staff were friendly and efficient. Will definitely go again and recommend to friends and family.

An excellent meal with pleasant staff and peaceful surroundings. We have never had a poor meal at Cote Cambridge, and will return. Other branches in Bath and Bristol just as good

Had steak frite and the chips were over cooked, but couldn't be bothered to send them back. My wife had the fruit pavlova which was uninspiring.

Nice place felt a bit rushed fish was overcooked and peach crumble was tasteless. Staff were very friendly and food was acceptable but not sure I would rush back

Excellent food, service and value for money at lunch. The Cambridge Brasserie presents a wonderful environment for lunch and evening meals. The wine list is good and comprehensive.

Very good value table d'hote menu ,including glass of champagne , with good choice of food and generous portions . Attentive staff . Would go back .

Excellent food quality, friendly service, classy decor. Set menu very good value. Best to book as it gets very busy. Standard 12.5% service charge bumps up the bill.
