We came for Mother's Day and we had a wonderful meal. My mum was over the moon. The service was great, the food was great choose well. Thank you

I always love Cote. It's very good value for money and the service is good. It wasn't so great on this occasion though... It was lunch time, and the restaurant was very busy so the staff were run off their feet. As usual they were friendly and helpful, but service was quite slow. I noticed that kitchen staff brought out our food on trays - but had to wait for waiting staff to serve it to us. Because it was so busy, they had to wait a while - so the food wasn't as hot as it could be. We ordered spinach with our meals which was forgotten and we had to wait quite a while between courses. The food was good quality as usual, the staff were professional and doing their best, but I think perhaps there should have been more staff on, or that kitchen staff should have just served us rather than waiting for the front of house staff. I will come back, because I think it was probably a glitch. I sincerely hope so.

The food was good, but service slow. It was a busy time - pre-theatre, so understandable. A little more variety on the menu would be preferred.

The food was delicious; everyone in our party was very happy with their chosen meal. The waiter was so helpful, friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful and cheap restaurant. Food is excellent and the service cheerful and friendly. Superb location in the middle of the old, walled and picturesque city of Canterbury. Only consistent problem is the loos. There's one disabled toilet on the ground floor and the main toilets are three floors up. So if you're imbibing copious amounts of liquids then ensure you set off in good time for the challenging climb to the top of Cote to plant your flag !

Good food. Good service, There is a good choice on the menu and the staff are great. We have never had a bad meal or a bad experience.

Having checked the menu before I booked I had already decided what I wanted to earth but when I placed my order was told they'd run out of the Bavarian of pork. Had I been told this when handed the menu I'd have left but as I'd already been given a glass of wine I felt I couldn't. Even though I said I'd been looking forward to the pork no alternative was offered. I had the fish cake but wouldn't have it again.

Lovely as always but slightly disappointed with desert Not as bigger portion as we normally get Coup noir. So nice m Not enough sauce!

I go to Cote Canterbury so often and rarely think to make a comment. But it is always, without exception, just lovely and so reliable. Consistently delicious food and excellent and charming staff. My only complaint is the horrible music which is often playing too. My last trip the other day - the music was so much quieter and it made all the difference! Either have more cheerful music or turn it down! But anyway I love going there.

Our visit wasn't up to its usual standard - let down by a couple of oversights. We didn't receive our complimentary aperitifs and the waiting staff forgot my coffee order. Just silly niggles which would have given a perfect score. Our biggest complaint was being sat near the door which let in cold gusts of air as it was opened - next time we will request a table further back in the restaurant.

The continuing and unresolved problem with this restaurant is the location of its lavatories. Most customers are seated on the ground floor which has one disabled lavatory. Otherwise the main toilets are a challenging three floors at the top of the restaurant. So if you have liberal glasses of wine, make sure you set off for the top floor toilets in plenty of time ! Otherwise this restaurant if perfectly situated in a picturesque part of the old city. Service is impeccable and the food is great - pity about the loos !

We booked a table as it was a birthday treat. We had a table against the wall almost touching the neighbours table. At no point was the birthday mentioned as it usually is on these occasions. A very disappointing visit.

The Manager is an asset to the restaurant, nothing seems too much trouble. We were on a table next to a well dressed but ridiculously loud "gentleman" who was spoiling the experience for all those around him. I asked for my elderly mother and I to be moved and we were accommodated immediately, despite the restaurant being very busy. The food was delivered promptly and was hot, tasty and good value. We have used this restaurant before and will definitely be back.

Up to now would have given you 6 stars but was disappointed to find that, although I booked 2 days ago, we were given a position adjacent to the door - disturbance and draught whenever guests arrived or left. On asking to be moved, we were shown a table for 4 - not the private experience we'd hoped for. On asking for water, glasses were brought but no carafe. We had to alert a second waiter to this. Also our waiter moved our plates in an offhand manner, ignoring us while conversing with the people next to us. Such lack of courtesy is a first. People next to us were very loud so I rate noise level uncomfortable.

Clean, warm friendly atmosphere , prompt service. we had breakfast it was cooked well and really enjoyed it., great value with coffee and juice included , only one negative the toast was not cooked enough so it was in between being bread and toast !

Good food, good service, not hurried. Will return. And nice to have the cocktail that went with the main menu.

For a last minute booking on Valentine’s Day, it was amazing and probably one of the best set menus on offer. I made the mistake of using my email to subscribe to get two cocktails for free when arriving but I forgot that we also had kir royales included with our menu. So the service was great as they slowed it down for us for me to try and drink at least one drink, and all courses were brilliant.

We had a lovely family meal in Canterbury, great service and atmosphere. Good value for money as we had set menu. Would definitely recommend

We went for mothers day , it had a very friendly atmosphere , we didn't wait long for our food, but the poached eggs were over cooked, but we enjoyed the food .

It was lovely going on valentine for breakfast , they gave us very friendly service and we were served are breakfast very quickly .The food was lovely and hot and well cooked , We will be going again very soon :)
