We had a lovely meal at Cote. We were pre show so needed fast service which was delivered. And we had fab cocktails as part of the April offer.

All excellent except a delay to our main course in the kitchen meant we had to miss our dessert in order to get to the theatre on time.

The steaks we both had were so unevenly cooked, both asked for medium and was raw in some parts and over done in others, also both so fatty only able to eat half of it

As always, the staff and service great, mussels should never have left the kitchen but the staff handled the situation very well. An unfortunate moment but we shall still be revisiting!

Excellent starter and good main course - fine service until then. But.... dessert menu arrived and LONG wait - well over half an hour, before I finally had to make a determined effort to catch they eye of the waiter, and tell him, though we’d wanted dessert, we’d have to settle for coffee as we needed to reach the theatre. Further 1/4 hour delay and we had to pay, leave coffee, (which was, admittedly, taken off the bill) and rush to make our ( elderly and slow) way across to the theatre, reaching our seats just as the lights went down at 7.30. We were in the restaurant promptly at 5.15 - we didn’t get out until 7.00. Surely 2 courses and a coffee shouldn’t have left us late for the performance? Good start - unpleasant finish.

Great food, friendly staff, excellent value for money. Very busy and a bit noisy but it was at the time of the Urdd Eisteddfod so we felt very fortunate to get a table.

Really nice meal, nice ambience. Enjoyed the whole evening. Service was prompt, pleasant and efficient. Reasonably priced. Food was well cooked, fresh and hot. Service charge automatically added, but option to remove if you ask. However, we were happy to pay the additional.

what a perfect evening. we arrived in Cardiff on a wet Friday night wondering about the merits of Joe Smit wanting to leave the roof of the Millennium Stadium open tomorrow, and then we had just the most fantastic evening at Cote brasserie. Firstly we were welcomed by the restaurant with a bottle of Champagne for our 20th wedding anniversary and then we had just a great meal. The staff were great, the food was top notch, the wine list was great and not expensive. The perfect start to our weekend

It’s the best place for having a meal before going to the theatre which I do regularly but also at other times. I’ve never failed to get a table.Excellent food and brilliant service from the staff.

Once again Cote didn't disappoint. Good, friendly and helpful service. There were six of us and all meals were of a high standard. I had pork belly and it was cooked to perfection. Good range of wines to choose from. We will definitely be back.

Visited yesterday prior to the Nick Cave gig. Delicious meal in a lovely atmosphere and the team looked after me really well - extra important when you’re on your own. Restaurant overlooks the Millennium Centre and beautiful Norwegian Church.

This was the worst evening I've ever had. The whole meal took over two hours from sitting down to leaving, and it would have been longer if we didn't hurry the staff up at dessert stage and for the bill as we had to get to a show. The waited didn't take everyone's drinks orders so one of us had to go up to the bar and ask for a drink. Four of us ordered soft drinks, at £3.00 a drink, which were taken out of 2 litre bottles of pop, that cost less than £1.00 to buy at the shops. Diet Coca Cola was on the menu, but Diet Pepsi Cola was given, and we weren't told, we just spotted it. There were 5 of us present, but only 4 menus were given for desserts for some reason. We ordered 5 desserts, but only 4 arrived, so we had to ask for another dessert while the rest of us were eating. Absolute shambles from start to finish!

It is our favourite place to go in Cardiff Bay. Perfect for pre or post Theatre dining, marvellous.

The meal was lovely, but the bill was completely booked wrong, coffees added on even though we paid independily, we were charge for 3 course, when 2 of us had 2 course, & 2 had 3 course, & we were made to feel uncomfortable when we pointed this out

We can always rely on the standard of food at this Cote restaurant. The main courses are well cooked and prepared, and the service is swift and polite at all times. The menu is a little limited, with meat in most of the options, though there is a vegetarian option - an expansion of the menu to include more vegetarian options would be welcome. The atmosphere on a Saturday evening was lively, though the noise level rose a little too high for our small party of three. Nevertheless, an enjoyable meal.

Very accommodating staff who were happy to cater to our requests to make a birthday celebration very special.

Mistake was suitably put right. The staff were VERY attentive and the manager was lovely.

We went for Mother's Day brunch after running the Cardiff 10k so we were hungry and ready to celebrate! What an excellent value brunch Cote offered. Champagne, tea or coffee, juice and a full range of breakfast treats. Each of our specific preferences were noted and served with a smile. Thank you Cote for making my Mother's Day brunch a real treat!

My partner and I booked a table at 12:15 to enjoy a late breakfast. We arrived slightly early and were seated immediately. Left for a few minutes to decide on what we wanted to eat. When the waiter came to take our order, we were told with no pretence of apology, that as it was a rugby day breakfast had been stopped at midday. There was no mention of this on the website, nor was this posted at the restaurant. It wasn’t even mentioned by the host when we arrived. Disappointing experience this time but we have been on many occasions and never had anything other than a wonderful meal. A bit of a shame, but it probably won’t stop us coming back.

Lovely food, great atmosphere and good service too. You can’t beat this place for a pre theatre lunch on a lovely day. Will definitely visit again.

The food was delicious and the service was attentive (but not over-bearing) and courteous. We always enjoy our meals at Cote, this visit was no exception.

Sent an email already but no reply. Staff were lovely however meal very overpriced. Steak very fatty Fish pie very underwhelming .Given a small table where we had to move every 5 minutes to let other diners exit and enter. Would not recommend.

The menu was wide ranging with lots of fish.( Really suits me as I don’t eat red meat) & friends commented on the excellent choice, with lots to suit everyone. The staff were very friendly & helpful & ambience all excellent. This was our first visit & was most enjoyable. Could not fault it. Will definitely return!

Restaurant ideally situated for Wales Millenium Centre in Cardiff. Great atmosphere, wonderful food, lovely staff and complimentary Gin aperitif . What more could you ask for?
