Good staff main menu a bit high priced, but food nice. Good location in Chelmsford centre near Cathedral. Near by shops offer a good range of products and interest.

the staff were very friendly and the food was delicious.

We had a good time and a good meal. The only thing that marred the experience was the amount of noise coming from a nearby birthday party.

Very welcoming and attentive staff. Introductory complimentary bottle of wine ordered online which we didn't have to remind the staff about. It came without prompting. Food was great as usual.

I have been to Cote just for coffee and cake, breakfast and lunch on many occasions. The staff are always brilliant, the food fabulous and it is very reasonably priced for the quality.

The food is always good but my first criticism ever today was the service. Our waitress seemed moody and even slightly rude. The restaurant wasn’t at all busy, so it wasn’t that she was rushed off her feet. She didn’t even clear our empty cocktail glasses from the table before or after our meal. In fact they were still there when we paid the bill! The manager was pleasant as always though. The service is usually fantastic but I felt today it wasn’t very good. Sadly that impacts on the atmosphere.

We thought the fixed price menus were good value for a good choice of quality food. We were made welcome by staff. Unfortunately, there were a couple of errors with our order and one led to a delay with our mains. It was just as well that portion sizes of starters are generous!

We dined here on Monday. Staff & food where excellent . We certainly outstayed our time here but there was no rush for us to leave.

We enjoyed an excellent lunch at the Cote Brasserie, Chelmsford. The service was excellent and the food, to be honest, far better than expected. I would recommend this restaurant and my friends and I will definitely return.

The menu at Cote is what you would expect in a good brasserie in France, with something for everyone and it doesn’t disappoint. It would be great if there was a selection of specials alongside the standard menu for greater choice when visiting, Sadly, our service last night was at best mediocre from a rather haughty waiter with a topknot - he needs to re-read his job description - but can still recommend Côte for good food, atmosphere and value.

My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary last night with a delicious dinner at Cote Brasserie. We chose our mains from the April menu and the meal and the service were both excellent. The staff were extremely welcoming as always and the atmosphere pleasant and friendly.

The finest dishes served by first rate staff in a relaxed but sophisticated setting. There really is no better restaurant in Chelmsford. Even when the fire alarm sounded, something out of the restaurant’s control we were given complementary drinks as a gesture. Perfect.
