Great food and great service. The best restaurant in Chelmsford by a long way. Give it a try and you will be pleasantly surprised.

Excellent meal, one item wasn’t available from the menu, apart from that great friendly service and food. The moules frites and wine options were superb.

Pleasant friendly staff, good service and the food was great. It was a quiet Saturday lunch time so not too busy Waiting time for food was acceptable.

It would have been 6 stars out of 6 but I don’t like it when restaurants presumptuously add a 12.5% tip on the bill. I would have left the tip because the service and food was good, but don’t like it when it’s already added for me.

Excellent food and service as usual. My only dislike is the greeting: I’m not a big fan of being asked “how my day has gone” or “what have you been up to” or “where are we going after?” I’m not a kill joy but this really has no bearing on me buying breakfast from you! It will actually put me off using Cotê! Hi, how are you etc, thanks for choosing Cotê is quite sufficient IMO?

Most friendly and welcoming staff that one could expect. The food was well prepared and served well too. All round, this restaurant is head and shoulders above the competition. My second visit and not disappointed at all.

Waitress did not know of Blood Orange Martini offer! Then we were told they were out of vodka for Martinis! Plus, service was slow - particularly irritating as we mentioned that we were on a time constraint.

Great service from the staff and Lucas was very friendly and knowledgeable. Helped us choose a great bottle of red wine. The food was delicious too. Highly recommended.

Probably one of the best breakfast experiences we have had in and around chelmsford! The quality is also the same in other Cote restaurants. Great value for money and excellent quality and service keeps us going back!!

Really friendly staff, good service, good food! Efficient service so that we could get to our concert on time!

I requested a nice table - specifically because it was my daughters birthday. The restaurant was not busy and we were made to sit at the back near the exit for the bins. Even though the rest of the restaurant was pretty empty on the other side and at the front. Plus a bin was taken out by our table trying to hide it by covering it with a Napkin! Which does not hide the smell. Plus the back door was left open so a cold drought was coming in - had to be asked to close it. 2 waitresses decided it was a good idea to also stand on a chair and organise the glasses at the workstation whilst we were eating our lunch. Altogether very disappointing & we chose cote over other restaurants. I would think twice now about coming. Waste of time making a request.

Excellent service and awesome food, really attentive friendly staff and great atmosphere

A lovely meal but our wine order was too acidic; great response by the Manager to immediately agree and change the wine, but in recommending a more expensive selection I would expect to pay for what I ordered. Picky, but just how I was trained and would have dealt with the issue.

Really great food, served efficiently and without too much hassle of fussing. Our waiter was really professional and a credit to Cote. My only moan about Cote is the limited beer selection. There are some superb French micro breweries and I would be happy to help you select two/three to add to the menu!

Food was beautiful, really nice! Atmosphere in the restaurant was lovely and friendly. My only one little criticism would be the manger (server not in uniform ) pushing the up-selling with wine a little too much!! Made it a little uncomfortable, but that’s only a small thing! Everything else was truly beautiful, and the overall service was very good!

I’ve only previously eaten breakfast at Côte which is always good! Our meal last night was excellent Tuna Nicoise was amazing - staff were attentive but not overly so! Well done Côte for getting it right!

Had the Black pudding special starter. It was exquisite. Great service, great food, lots of choice on the menu. Would recommended and look forward to a return visit

As ever consistently good quality food and service from the Cote team. Enjoyed the atmosphere. Good range of choices on menu and free gin cocktail from special offer helped.

As usual the food was very good and the service (manager and waiting staff) was efficient , attentive and professional. The pricing is good , however , a few special offers (e.g.voucher codes) for the quiet days would encourage us to visit even more.

Excellent service . The specials were very good . Wine is also very reasonable and good children’s menu . Restaurant nearly full with good atmosphere .

Amazing service made my parents anniversary breakfast very special. Food was perfect and was served piping hot. Nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely return.

The food is always good but my first criticism ever today was the service. Our waitress seemed moody and even slightly rude. The restaurant wasn’t at all busy, so it wasn’t that she was rushed off her feet. She didn’t even clear our empty cocktail glasses from the table before or after our meal. In fact they were still there when we paid the bill! The manager was pleasant as always though. The service is usually fantastic but I felt today it wasn’t very good. Sadly that impacts on the atmosphere.

This is by far the best restaurant in Chelmsford both for service and quality of food. On arrival we are always greeted by lovely staff who could not do more for us, the food is always beautifully cooked and the service impeccable. We love Cote even choosing to have lunch to celebrate our wedding there - where we were thoroughly spoiled by the team. We can not recommend Cote enough - it’s the restaurant we return to time and again

As it was Mothers Day and one of our group turned up 45 mins late, the staff were superb, considerate and helpful. The food was very good too.
