Great food and service. The rump of lamb was delicious, followed by the chocolate fondant. I will definitely be coming back again very soon. Nice atmosphere too.

We ate there twice yesterday, before and after the races after being regulars in the Cote in Reigate for a while. It was nice, service was good. Only thing unhappy with was some of the eggs in the Eggs Royale were under cooked and the whole thing could have been hotter. Will return.

Very pleasant staff and food. In many ways an agreeable meal but repeated 'How was that for you?' for every course detracted from the overall relaxed dining experience. Why can't they imitate the French and say nothing.

Great quality food - really tasty and excellent service. No a huge choice, but more than enough to keep you interested. More than I would usually expect from a chain restaurant! Will definitely visit again.

This was an excellent restaurant providing great food and service. We had a champagne breakfast before Ladies day at Chester races, sat on a table just outside overlooking Bridge Street. Staff were attentive and service was quick and efficient.

Everything was spot on! Amazing food! I loved the black pudding with caramelized apple and poached egg. Lovely decor, friendly staff and reasonably priced, I've been telling anyone who'll listen about this place! Lovely addition to the Chester dining scene.

Excellent food and service. Waitress was very helpful with food choices, we shared pate to start which was lovely, and because it came with brioche was not too heavy. I had chicken which was delicious and my husband had steak which was also really good. The sparkling wine was also very nice. We did not have room for dessert but hopefully will try one next time. Have already recommended to family and friends!!

Service good. But food poor compared to Manchester and St Albans .Starters over cooked and cold.Mains no better than a Burger chain food plastic in taste.White wine served warm.Best part of the lunch was the coffee. This restaurant will need to have better food in Chester.Other places are much better .

Great ambience, varied menu, fabulous food, attentive staff. Highly recommend. Will definitely be going back. It was races day and bedlam outside, but inside was a haven of class and charm! 😊

Lovely staff and delicious food. Only 2 slight criticisms: the plates were cold so the food went cold quickly and I object to the service charge being automatically added to the bill.

I had the prawns and duck breast with cherry for main. The duck was cooked perfectly and both dishes had lots of flavour. The staff were friendly and I felt very welcomed.

Good food on a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The main courses require the purchase of sides to be considered a course and the portion size especially of frites is too small to share between two.

Always a predictable product with the same amazing quality and good value. Cote Chester lives up to the national brand very well! This is the 10th one we've been to in recent times.

Excellent food and service. I'm a coeliac and felt very confident that my meal was gluten free, and had a massive choice of food too.

Had a meal from the early sitting menu. Rather limited choices but what can you expect for two courses for £10.95. Some delay in getting our main course but probably down to the restaurant being busy. Staff very apologetic. We'll give them another try soon but probably use the a la carte menu.

Cote restaurants provide a modernist menu with a French style giving it an exclusive appeal and good food. Delighted that the Chester restaurant has opened and I would recommend a visit as soon as soon as you can make it not only to savour the very comprehensive menu but to watch the team come together to make this restaurant Top of Class. I say this because the venue is amazing coupled with menu but forgetting the wine was a issue in the team. Thankfully another waitress put her hands on the required bottle albeit half way through the main course and continued to look after us Professionally for the rest of the evening. If I had 8 places in a life boat but 9 people the one who forgot the wine would be coming. The restaurant is reasonably priced and carries a 12.5% service charge which I personally like and makes me very comfortable. Good luck guys

My birthday was mentioned as we sat down and glasses of complementary kir royale appeared as if by magic. Loved the menu, very hard to choose a main course. I opted for the duck, fantastic. The waiting staff were all lovely and made my night a special one.

Great breakfast, beautifully cooked, you wouldn't believe that simple scrambled eggs, bacon and French black pudding could taste so good. My wife really enjoyed the crepe complete. Great service too.

We had a lovely experience, the food and service was good. The reason for not full marks was you could tell it was their first week open and they were still learning the best way to serve the tables. Just remember to duck to avoid the beams. We shall certainly be returning.
