Good food and atmosphere with friendly staff. We were a group of ladies meeting up again after many years with lots to chat about and were not hurried to vacate our table even though we were there for 3 hours!
Food Brilliant. Service 5 stars. High standard, always consistent. Would like to see some more udiverse veggie options on the menu and also a rice reduction for theatre goers to Wyndham theatre around the corner.
Food all of good standard and tasty. Service slow to start but sped up when time limit was emphasised. Over all enjoyable and would go again.
I'd booked a table for 6.15 but we arrived early, they were able to find a table for us. Service was good. The restaurant was busy prior to theatre trips. We had the pre-theatre menu which was very good value. Would recommend that the plates are warmed as the food went cold quite quickly. Lovely chocolate pudding!
Good standard French food. The fish soup was second to none. A noisy place but excellent service. The waitress from Benevento was cheerful and efficient.
The food was as usual divine and the seafood linguine exceptional. One small gripe: our West End pre-theatre offer of a complimentary Kia Royale is ALWAYS charged to the bill and we have to ask for it to be taken off.
Felt slightly rushed and had to reinforce a couple of times that I wanted Gluten Free Menu. Service good and choice of menu quite impressive. Coffee strong but excellent
Food lovely and reasonably priced especially the pre-theatre menu. Good choice. Staff great - friendly and helpful. Not too impressed with downstairs seating - very, very noisy!
During my year in London, I have appreciated several venues of Côte Brasserie as they always deliver without fail. The food is excellent and the wine choice is very much to my taste. Price vs quality is unrivalled. Service is excellent too. Kudos to Côte.
Always enjoy coming to eat at Cote but table booked for 5 and guests shown to 2 different tables at opposite ends of the restaurant and didn't connect for half an hour! Obviously not good. Service slow and ok but really only adequate. Guests fabulous and had a good evening regardless. Have eaten in restaurant lots of times before so disappointed with the hiccups!
Very enjoyable team lunch. We all had the three course meal and thought it was excellent value for money. Staff were attentive and friendly. Will come again
The staff are very pleasant, the food is tasty and not too much just as I like, quick service, good price, I have been several times and will go back again.
Very pleasant buzz about the restaurant. Nicely situated table for two. I normally like someone to ask what we would like to drink before we order food, and I had to say can we order drinks please. Ordered food and waiter asked if we would like bread and olives which we did, that came with the starters. All the food we ordered was very good and when we paid the bill we thought we had very good value for money in London. Staff appeared to be non stop but remained very pleasant throughout the night. Going back to London in early August and will book again.
Service and food were good but seating location was uncomfortable as people in the queue were almost leaning on my husband. Also no disabled toilet facilities although we're offered alternatives in hotel next door.
Food as always good. Confusion with waiter who said creme caramel could not be served without cream. Always has been in the past. Problem quickly rectified and all was good.
We had to wait around for some time before being shown to our booked table and it them took rather too long for our order to be taken (however, it was a busy time of day - 7pm). The meal was good, the main criticisms being that the Breton chicken was quite dry and the ice cream portions small. The wine was excellent as was the coffee. Once the early evening rush had dissipated the service was fine, so it's probably sensible to choose your time better.
I have eaten here twice for pre-theatre dinner and been delighted each time. Friendly, efficient staff and tasty value for money food. They really understand how to serve in the time constraints but without making one feel rushed in any way.
My wife and I had the pre-theatre menu as usual. It provides a reasonable choice, and the standard is consistently high. The service was extremely efficient and friendly, with no holdups. The tables are uncomfortably close together and the noise level makes conversation difficult, but that is the only significant adverse criticism we have.
Great food always, the menu changes each season but consistently tasty options and healthy too..when it gets busy service does slow down. Still love a Cote though!
Food was good and staff very friendly was given a window seat as requested Great place to eat and would recommend it Very busy but did not feel rushed
A favorite of mine for consistent quality and service representing excellent value for money. You will find this across the entire chain of Cote restaurants
All three courses were delicious, and were served promptly. The service was friendly and helpful, and when a misunderstanding arose, it was dealt with immediately and well.
As always - a lovely meal. Busy restaurant with plenty of staff though it still can be a bit slow sometimes. We were going to the theatre and had left plenty of time but still had to rush the last 10 minutes
The food at Cote is reliably good and provides value for money. It's nearly always busy but the service is prompt and efficient. I would recommend Cote in St Martin's Lane, London.
Tasty pre-theatre 3 course meal. Very reasonably priced. Good atmosphere. Good service. Would recommed. Good value for money. Plenty to choose from. Good wine list. Lovely kir to start!
Our table was not ready in time - the staff put themselves out to serve us on time for us it get us to the theatre and welcomed us back after the show for dessert. Great food, friendly welcome, excellent staff who took all the stress out of what could have been a tense hour and a spoilt meal. Chatting about the show over a late night chocolate mousse turned out to be one of the highlights of our weekend.
We were somewhat disappointed with the quality of the food especially as we were entertaining 2 friends who had not visited a Cote before. Very noisy and difficult to chat over lunch.
Very noisy table next to kitchen, staff shouting, staff bickering about re assembly of tables, seemed to be a lot of egos in the room, not what you want when you are out for an evening meal, food lovely, price very good
Excellent service and food. 5 out of 6 as the restaurant was full and very noisy so it was difficult to hear each other speak.
Excellent food & service. Thoroughly enjoyed the visit. Excellent restaurant in the heart of theatre land for pre show dining. I will certainly be returning next time I am in London
Excellent value pre theatre menu and a good value wine list. The staff looked after us exceptionally well, especially as my companion has extreme lactose intolerance.
Consistently good with excellent staff, Cote in St Martin's Lane is one of the best they have. Great location for pre-theatre meal or an evening out.
The table's are very close together so not much room to get in and out. The good was good but the portions were on the small side
Perfect meal, attentive staff. Restaurant very busy but allowed to have table for 3 hours as catching up with a friend. Fantastic value, certainly will return.
Very good value on the pre-theatre menu and pleasant service. The price difference between two courses and three is almost absurdly small, which does encourage over-eating, perhaps!
Great food in a buzzy atmosphere right on top of theatre land and the National Gallery. Excellent, attentive service snd very good value. Recommend you book if you want to go at peak lunch or pre-theatre time.
Busy restaurant, good value, excellent service but my chicken was over-cooked and a little tough which spoiled the experience somewhat. Set menu is definitely worth it, as are the pre-theatre drinks and food.
The food was good as always. The service was good and friendly as always. That's all that needs to be said about this particular occasion.
Good food and service at a very busy time. The staff managed to keep everything moving very well. Value for money in the centre of London.
We had a fantastic meal at Cote Brasserie, St Martin's Lane on Saturday night. There were 4 of us and we chose the 10th Anniversary menu which was great value for money for a London based restaurant, the meal was beautifully presented and really tasty. Thank you chef.
Excellent food, polite, prompt and unobtrusive service. Clean cutlery and a proper tablecloth - details make it a pleasant experience. We were going to a show and came early so that we could enjoy the meal without clock-watching. Côte never disappoints. My only gripe is the automatic service charge: I can understand why you do it, but sometimes I would like to decide if someone has been particularly nice. You might as well just add it on to the original price on the menu. Essential to book, especially in theatreland.
Two of us were gluten free & were impressed with the choice. The food was lovely as was the service. Will definitely be back soon.
We know we can always rely on Cote. Wether it is our local in Dorking or in london. Always lovely friendly staff from the moment we step in to the brasserie, and we have never been let down on the food. Just the right size portions.
Good food good service - it was very busy so maybe just a little slow for our group as a pre-theatre meal - I would recommend Cote.
Perfectly decent set menu - nothing ground-breaking but that's fine when you want something quick pre-theatre. Good quality ingredients. Good value. Excellent friendly service. Would use Cote again in this way.
Great chain of restaurants. Good, varied menu and wine list and pleasant decor. I've eaten in a few Cote's up and down the UK over the past few years and always found the food reasonably priced, well presented and tasty. However, don't be put off by the potential for random service. Some of the branches are well run and the waiting staff are attentive and efficient. Other branches are not so well managed so be prepared to wave a hand to get attention sometimes. All in all: good value, good food, good wines, shame about the incosistency of the standard of service.
Think the staff were too busy...meant you had to wait along time to be served...missed orders... Not to impressed especially as first visit to cote chain.
Tasty, quick pre-theatre service. We were told on arrival we would need to be out within 90mins, which is maybe a bit tight for a 3 course meal.
Ok but not great. Table was dirty, white wine was not cold and ordered a portion of chips for £2.95 - I expected a bigger portion for the price.
Good quick food. Great before a show. Very busy though and some mistakes were made because of that. But quick to fix and good effective service.
