Excellent food, service and value with very good choice of menu including fish and vegetarian. Highly recommend although definitely need to book for pre-theatre meal.
Excellent meal on early evening menu. Service friendly and speedy. Very busy at 6-7 pm so definitely need to book table in advance. By 7.30pm less pressure.
We stopped in for a pre-theatre lunch having pre-booked a table. The service was friendly and very quick - no waiting for drinks or food and we comfortably managed two (and could have done three) courses in time for our show. Food was tasty and good value - the portions are not big but enough when you have several courses to eat. Thanks to the staff - we will be back again.
Restaurant lively early evening, but staff attentive and helpful. Food and wine as good as always. This is one of our favourite restaurants in Central London.
The restaurant was welcoming, however my coffee was not very warm and our order was incorrect twice! My guest ordered a wheat free breakfast as she is allergic to wheat but she was brought a regular breakfast. This could have been dangerous.
very pleasant, well-organised staff. Good choice on the menu and the fish we ordered was well cooked. However, seasoning was bland, no veg is served with any dish unless you order it as an extra dish and the minted peas we ordered had no taste or smell of mint at all.
Food was great as always. Red wine merlot was a little too warm and a tad bit sour. Serving was generally good. Most attentive in the beginning and end.
Very efficient service. We had two courses from the set menu. Very good value. Like the mackerel and beetroot salad starter and the hake for main. My friend had the same starter and chicken and bacon salad which looked good also.
Nice menu, good value, nice staff. Pleasant pre theatre menu. Attentive staff, as with most branches of Cote, it is predictably good and we will continue to try new locations
Really slow service to start with - good food but undone by lack of attention for ordering and sense of rush throughout. It was immensely busy but it just felt a little disorganised. Great food though.
The service was ok. My meal was overdone ..I requested seared tuna but was overcooked . Apart from that it was ok Nothing special but will try another time
The pre show lunch was value for money. We had the 3 course set lunch. The deserts are good, and I strongly recommend trying them!
Food good very much enjoyed desert (chocolate fondant) the service to start was fine but very slow in bringing the bill and payment which was annoying
Excellent service and food,, but the portions are very large (and I am a healthy eater!) neither of us could finish either the starter of calamari or the veal. Both of these dishes had far too much breaded covering which apart from adding to the volume of the food detracted the flavour of the food.
Great food and noisy atmosphere. It was busy with pre theatre menu offering very good value. The service was slow so allow plenty of time.
Good food and pleasant service but quite slow. We were having the pre-theatre menu, had arrived at 5.15 but were still eating at 7.15. Barely made it to the theatre on time. Servers need to be aware that people need to be finished in time to get to the theatre.
Waitress very efficient and helpful. My main course of chicken was dire. Probably cooked hours ago, v dry and strange tasteless gravy. My friend unimpressed by her salad. Used to be a much better restaurant and as a Londoner I will not be returning but no doubt the tourists will!
Helpful staff. Considering it was 6pm on a weekday evening and the restaurant was pretty full then the service was reasonably efficient. Would go again.
Good food, friendly staff, efficient serve. A great restaurant for a pre-theatre meal. The special Anniversary menu is very good value. I had pork belly with a jus that was to die for!
The welcome we had was excellent. We had bookies for 6pm but got to the restaurant early and there was no problem getting a table. Our waiter was smiley and we enjoyed the banter! Food was very good and value for money. Côte is one of my favourite places to eat.
Poor service as v busy pre theatre. Waiter disinterested & difficult to get his attention (to order, pay), food cold. V disappointed as I usually recommend Côte to friends.
Booking system works. Good varied menu. Food most excellent, and sad to say- far far superior to Oxford Cote where we have been disappointed. Service quick and friendly-food correctly cooked and served. Good variety on menu and great value for money in The West End. Last week we ate at another well known chain- you are far superior. Only one point down- that is noise level. But that's open plan dining I guess.
it is excellent value pre theatre. I use cote on a regular basis & have never experienced a poor meal or poor service on any occasion.
Lovely staff and great value brunch deal. We definitely recommend this as a stop in town. We booked and it was a good idea as it was busy.
Table booked and sat down 15mins early for a pre theatre meal which was good quality , good price and served by efficient staff, not rushed and in perfect time for our show
Always enjoy Cotes restaurant . Had early set menu great value and a good choice of food. Polite helpful staff in a comfortable environment. Look forward to our next visit.
Food ok tho chicken dish v short on avocado, rectified on request by waitress. Much too noisy so we didn't hang around for dessert and coffee.
Set lunch menu provided very good choice. The staff were very efficient and friendly without being intrusive. Beetroot and mackerel starter and hake main were lovely. My companion enjoyed his steak. Limited choice of teas. Cappucchino very nice - would have been improved with chocolate sprinkles. I was incapacitated due to a badly sprained ankle and walking with a stick. The toilets were downstairs but the staff advised me I could use the accessible toilet in the adjacent hotel. This was helpful, but the effort of walking next door was not welcome because my leg was very painful. I think a more disabled person would have found this unsatisfactory.
Our waiter, Nick, was brilliant. My daughter is gluten intolerant and Nick made sure the dishes were gluten free. We enjoyed a very nice meal
Great atmosphere, good food, friendly service. Hit at a busy time and had a deadline so a little slow for us but understandable. Will certainly use again.
There is usually something tempting on the menu. However, My starter was disappointing. Like thin dry pizza with very little topping. But otherwise tasty food and friendly service.
Enjoyed the anniversary menu and the champagne. Good atmosphere and very helpful staff. We had originally booked for 6.15 pm but arrived about 45 minutes early and the staff still managed to provide us a table immediately in an otherwise full restaurant
Nice value, prompt but noisy. Promptly seated, waiter prompt. There at a busy time. Food was good too. Great location for theater goers. Will return soon.
Such a busy time to eat that all staff didn't seem to take much care or attention to their customers. The waiter didn't even asks for our drink order and just went straight to the food. Food was delicious as usual but pity about customer service.
Good service and delicious food in excellent surroundings. Will continue to book at Cote Brasserie St Martins Lane as I have never had a bad experence there
Excellent food and a good variety, something for everyone. Speedy and attentive service and good value for money. Would not hesitate to go again in the future.
It was an extremely busy Friday evening. The staff work incredibly hard and were delightful. The food was, as always, very good value and, more importantly, good!
Good food and quick service. Would recommend for pre-theatre as fast turn around by efficient and helpful staff. Reasonably priced food and dinks made it an even better experience.
Côte always a winner. Delicious meal and friendly service. Perfect venue for pre-theatre dinner Lovely ambiance. No music is and added bonus to enjoy proper conversation
Great food, service and value as always but the experience was slightly ruined by being downstairs in the cellar room as it was very noisy and difficult to hear because the three large groups in there with us (1 of 10, 2 of 6) were all speaking (shouting) loudly and the noise echoed off the very low ceiling.
As usual an interesting and tasty menu with portion sizes ideal for lunch. Straightforward helpful but not over the top service in pleasant bustling atmosphere.
Great value, service not so good. They were rushed off their feet and this showed in the way we were spoken to. Felt we were an inconvenience.
a perfect evening, great food, service, all round great experience. five star rating. very busy, but did not have to wait for each course. unusual in a busy restaurant
Lovely restaurant, great staff and amazing food. We often come to Cote for our lunch meet ups because the food is lovely and good value. One of our group is gluten free and there is always a wide choice. Overall a great place to eat
Relaxed lunch in a very busy part of London. Food is consistently good in this chain. Prompt friendly service which is useful if you have time pressure
Good friendly service and excellent value. The restaurant was really full so we were pleased we booked in advance. We had the special lunchtime menu although my husband also chose an a la carte dessert as he very much likes your tarte au citron.
Great atmosphere, friendly staff and delicious food, you couldn't go wrong .service was attentitive without being too fussy Will be back soon . Location great for pretheatre
Lovely place for a pre or post theatre dining. Lovely menu, which has something for everyone in a very buzzy welcoming atmosphere. I like it.
Fantastic food and fabulous service. Not rushed. Great atmosphere in restaurant. Really buzzing. Menu extensive and very affordable. Can't wait for next visit. Recommend to all.
Food was good, white wine excellent however ran out after one bottle but was substituted with another more expensive, but at the same price. Well done to the waiter, we were downstairs it was very busy and of course noisy, but all 6 of us gave it a 5,and would certainly go again.
