We have been to this branch before as it is ideally placed for pre-theatre eating. We were, though, amazed that you charged for a small pot of tartare sauce, my wife's fish was bony and we resent the default tip being 12.5%.
Excellent evening with food nicely served and presented. Good wine selection The only thing I would like to see is a wider choice if beers for a pre-dinner drink
Great venue for a pre-musical lunch for MaMa Mia. Lovely waitress the food was fine but overall a little expensive. There is a compulsory service charge, which bumps the price up but fine for our day out at the theatre.
Really lovely people working here! Great food and atmosphere, it was very busy but all the staff without exception were helpful and nothing was too much for them. Thank you for a wonderful meal!
As always excellent value for money with courteous service. we were allowed to stay at our table for as long as we wanted with no hassle
As usual Cote give you good service and value for money. The Breton fish stew I had tonight was especially good. Well done again Cote that's why we keep coming back
Excellent food. Excellent value. We always enjoy this restaurant. Prix fixe meals are excellent.
Love this branch of Ccte. Great food /service and friendly staff. Prompt service too and very handy for the theatre. You will need to book as it gets very busy
The lunch set menu was very nice and reasonably priced but price is really bumped up when you order sides as the mains don’t come with veg. Dessert choice very limited in set menu. Always lovely food though.

We live in Tavistock Street and always suggest this Cote to friends. The staff are friendly and seem like a real equipe. We give is a high score but sometimes find the noise level a bit off putting, though we appreciate this is not an easy problem to solve. Carpets get dirty and some people just shout! It is fast becoming our local.
The food was tasty and most of the food came out very promptly which was handy as we were very pressed for time as was pre-theatre meal. However side orders came out when we had almost finished the mains and there was no apology. I would have deducted some tip but that was included so had no option there.
Unhappy experience . Booked table for 3 online and downloaded Saga Wine offer code. But when presented this on arrival was told it could only be redeemed if the 3 people had a main course from the A la Carte menu. In the end we all had more than a main and the bill came to £61.76 for lunch but no wine. On a previous occasion 3 Kir Royales were served graciously without the third degree at the start. As the complimentary bottle of wine is offered for just 2 people dining I think the waiter should have been more considerate. Spoilt the occasion and will not wish to repeat it.
The usual good value meal - excellent choice and everything was very tasty. The waiter remembered us and was his efficient self. All in all a very good meal before the theatre. Jasper
A lively and friendly atmosphere matched by extremely helpful & accommodating staff. Food, as always, is excellent value for money and consistently hits a high standard. Cote Brasserie is, in my opinion, the most consistent and reliable brand of restaurants around.
The restaurant was so close to our theatre so very convenient. The food was delicious, with fast service. Very friendly staff and a lovely buzz about the restaurant.
Unfortunately we were cold at each table offered and it was only the fourth time we were offered another table, that we were warm. Therefore we accepted that we were in a corner at the end of an alcove of tables, my husband facing a wall (we decided to call it the naughty table). This time we were finally warm enough. The food was delicious and the staff were excellent, but as this was a special treat, it was rather spoiled by the lack of comfortable warm tables.
Dining experience excellent, including food and service. However, the bathroom facilities were very poor. No toilet paper and very smelly.
The food was good quality with good choice on the set menu, very efficient service (which was ideal for us as it was a ‘Pre-show’ meal)
Good food and friendly service. thank you - always a good place to eat. The only problem is the noise level. Hard to chat.
Very Good - would return again and would certainly recommend
Although the food was good as usual and the service excellent, our experience was let down by the quality of the Ladies toilets, that are falling apart and in poor condition. This is the second visit in a month and they have not improved from the first visit. Toilets are equally improtant to the experience of someone visiting a restaurant
Another smashing evening at Cote B! Lovely atmosphere, the service, by Charlotte, was outstanding. She was charming and efficient. The food overall was good, although, if I’m going to be honest, the pork belly was dry (can’t be perfect all the time)
Thoroughly enjoyed our meal here, food was cooked to perfection.
We were greeted by a lovely lady who was more than happy to squat on the floor to take a photograph of 7 ladies enjoying their pre-theatre meal. The portions were generous in size and the meals were delicious. The customer service was first class and we will be recommending you to our friends.
Very good position for theatre dinners and very speedy service we were very impressed especially as the restaurant was full with diners the staff coped very well.
Once again a super evening at Cote Covent Garden after Don Quixote with the Royal Ballet at the ROH. Delicious escalope de veau and fresh salmon with ratatouille, just perfect. To finish, the best Creme Caramel ever. Great atmosphere and excellent service. Voila !
Perfect for a long relaxed lunch with friends. Never felt rushed and staff were happy for us to order drinks after food was finished. Great value 2/3 course lunch menu
Great location & quality food at this price point. Service a little slow to start, but attentive once going. Varied menu, so should suit most palettes.
It is always such a pleasure to return to Cote in Covent Garden. Our recent dining experience was superb. Though plenty of classic French fare is on offer, everything is presented with a fresh new take. The design concepts are impressive, the ingredient combinations enticing, and the flavors just delicious. As well, the waiters were smart, witty, interesting conversationalists, and wonderfully efficient. Always busy and bustling, the charming rooms permit a feeling of intimacy for two even amidst the buzz. Highly recommended for a great dinner out.
Had to send back dodgy mussels that were white not orange, but aside from that all ok. Service was speedy and welcoming. Food pretty tasty,
Good value and good quality food. Would certainly book again.

Excellent meal, good wine, all at a reasonable price.location convenient for the theatre. Varied menu and a good wine list. Order either by the glas or bottle.happy to dine there.
The wooden rail downstairs to the toilets needs replacing. Splinter in hand. Brilliant quick and friendly service ideal for pre- theatre. Cote’s french onion soup always good.
Could not fault the service or the meal. Our waiter was charming and very attentive and worked very hard to make it a very pleasant dinner. We will be back next week!

Excellent service throughout. Very attentive waitress who was polite and considerate.
Staff lovely and coped with our request for slightly different meal's. Will come again when back in London, thank you for everything and the hospitality. Steve
I arrived 10min before the time the table was booked for, and the staff was kind enough to find an available table for me. They were also accommodating to my request of moving to another table in a warmer area of the restaurant. Food was good as per Cote standards. However, our mains were served together with the starters. They were packed, with a long queue of people waiting, pre-theatre meal on Saturday night, so I think they rushed up the service a bit. I would have preferred a calm meal, which is why I chose Cote. But all good still.
Good value set meal with plenty of choice, excellent service and ideal for pre-theatre meal as got us through in good time without a rush. Will come again.
The set menu is good value and the food and service are excellent. My only small gripe is that the mains don’t come with veg and they are quite small portions without veg. It really bumps the price up having to order sides.

A busy Friday and staff very efficient and pleasant with good service. The food was the usual Cotè good quality . A varied menu that caters well for gluten free requirements.
The food was delicious, we ate from the set menu which was very good value for money, the service was excellent even though the restaurant was full.
As always great speedy service. Meal excellent. We always have a meal in cotes when we go to the opera house and have never been disappointed
May Pre Theatre menu had excellent choice. We had Grilled Sardines & Charcuterie Board for starter, Sea Bream for main and then classic Creme Caramel & Iced Berries for dessert. The starter & main meal were cooked to perfection. The staff were efficient and friendly and service spot on.
Amazing food, very nice atmosphere, friendly staff, great service! Very recommend
Lovely food served piping hot and without delay, coupled with excellent friendly service. Prices were higher than usual but that's London for you ! The 12.5% service charge, albeit optional, is not popular with small groups of diners though personally it amounts to less than I would normally tip got good service anyway.
Good service however In common with most restaurants with it was very VERY noisy
Food quality great, as always, friendly staff, lively atmosphere. Our original table was in line with the aircon which was quite strong (it was a warm evening). We asked whether we could be moved and this was done without any fuss. Despite being moved to another part of the restaurant, our 'original' waitress came by later and asked whether everything was ok; which was a nice touch. We don't like smoke, and the open windows meant that some of the outside diners smoke was drifting through; but not a lot you can do about that on a warm day! It wasn't a real issue.
Very good service and excellent food. We had a booking at 10 PM, after a show, and it was perfect with the small dishes, we got our food quickly and simultaneously (party of 8).
Always love eating in Cote - consistently good although today the service was uncharacteristically surly and unfriendly. The food quality was, however, as good as ever.
Usual pleasant ambiance. Food very good as always and staff attentive. Very nice to have a glass of Kir. Look forward to the next meal! J
