Côte - Covent Garden

We were sat near a busy service area, which was a little noisy. A couple of the staff were a little surly, which gave a sense of being unwelcome. Overall though, considering it was a family of 9, our food was pretty much served at the same time, efficiently and everyone enjoyed their dishes.

Food was very tasty, good portion sizes. Great location. Restaurant itself could do with a deep clean in places as it is surprisingly very dusty in places.

They misplaced my reservation, the glasses were dirty, and they seated us in a dark room underground by the toilets. We had to ask to order and for drinks as they forgot about us, then they forgot to bring both the starter and the main for one of our party. They were incompetent and added a tip to the bill which we obviously did not pay.

Had a lovely meal, everything was delicious! Plus, best Kier Royale I’ve ever had. Fantastic meal.

Thank you for a fabulous evening. We were well looked after and the food was great! You even threw in a couple of free bottles of fizz for my birthday. We will definitely be coming back again!

Surroundings looking very tired; in desperate need of redecoration (especially the wash rooms and the flooring in the restaurant).

We reserved a table of 6 for a birthday celebration. We received attentive service throughout and food was, as always, great value for money. There was a lively atmosphere but never too loud that we couldn't talk amongst ourselves. An enjoyable lunch!

I booked a table for 16 guests with the pre theatre menu in the private dining room for a 6pm meal. Everything was ready for us and we enjoyed a thoroughly good evening. The entire restaurant was busy and had a very pleasant atmosphere. We all thought it particularly good value, especially for the postcode and would happily recommend it.

Great service, great food. My wife is coeliac and we know we can always relax when we come to Cote. We also got a seat in the window which, in the Covent Garden / Theatre area, was fun watching the passing people & goings on. The pork belly was gorgeous.

We had a wonderful evening at Cote Covent Garden celebrating our wedding anniversary. The staff were superb and the food excellent. There are lots of restaurants around, but this stands out because of the service you receive. Thank you to all the hard working staff

Excellent service, could not fault our young waiter. Overall the prices were good and the food enjoyable. The pear and endive salad was slightly lacking we felt in both pear and croutons. The salmon was perfect. The crepes grand marnier was cold by the time it was served as someone needed to find a lighter. A great pity. A wider selection of ice cream for dessert would also be a bonus. However, we would definitely book again when in London. The toilets down by the kitchen could do with a bit of TLC and it also meant that a fair volume of Anglo Saxon language, presumably from the chef, could be heard when descending and ascending the stairs. Gordon Ramsay has a lot to answer for!

Good well-cooked food, great service but expensive. Some of the dishes were disappointing in size - 3 small scallops for £10!

Had a great birthday meal welcoming ambience staff were really attentive. Food was absolutely delicious as was the wine.

We had a big group on Friday night (under Polly Gregory) we had a fabulous blonde haired waitress, who I would love to thank for looking after us all - I know big groups can be a nightmare !!! Food was fab!

We are all great fans of Cote, have rarely if ever a poor meal. The choice of dishes is huge and good value, with generous portion sizes, the prices are reasonable and service always prompt and very friendly. Last night was no exception. Our waitress noted we needed to leave for the theatre just after 7pm and our meal (delicious) arrived very fast.

Espressos to finish, asked if any truffles,--no. Manager produced amazing chocolate pot, the 3 of us shared. I always have a super time at Tavistock Street. Love to everyone there, Graham.

Excellent service, the staff went above and beyond to make my mum's birthday lunch special,thank you so much!! Complimentary drinks on arrival and then a lovely cake and candle singing happy birthday,she was chuffed!! Will be back for sure

Great food, quick service, nice atmosphere. We booked but were late, had a nice table by the window. Good choice of food. We did have to ask for our deserts to hurry up as we were going to the theatre and they then arrived promptly , very friendly staff.

Lovely table service. soothing went wrong with mains course order, might have been my fault, but all was sorted, and I had super food, very shortly afterward, these things happen. My 2 other dining companions, plus me, (we meet regularly with you) love the foods ,service the the ability to talk without being rushed. The person who looked after us today, was wonderful.

My dinner was ‘okay’. Food was good however I thought the experience could have been better with improved service (I constantly had to ask for things twice) and tables being less cramped (I felt like we were sitting on top of people on next table also with no room to actually get out to go to the toilet)

Most enjoyable meal, good service and pleasant environment. We especially like the fact that there are a few tables in a quieter location, one behind the other, which makes it easier to converse and is less crowded. Côte is remarkable value and the food is reliably good, arrives hot and is well presented.

One of my favorite places for dinner when I am in London whether for pre-theatre dining or eating later in the evening. The service is always professional, courteous and friendly. The menu has a lot of variety and the prices a very good value. The preparation is always excellent and consistent. I am willing to travel across town to come to this lovely restaurant.

I came here for a birthday meal and it was a fantastic experience. The food came quickly after ordering and was delicious. The service provided by the staff was excellent. They were incredibly attentive and welcoming. I will definitely be coming back soon.

We had an enjoyable dinner before going to a show. The prestige set menu had many delicious options. The staff was very attentive and everything was delightful.

The food and service were very good. The decor needs attention.

Overall an average meal. But the side orders were massively over priced and portion size a joke. And consequently I will not be returning to a Côte restaurant. It made me feel as though I was being completely taken advantage of. I live close to Leeds and the quality of food I normally experience from independent restaurants is far superior to that I experienced from Côte.
