Côte Dorchester

The food was excellent and very reasonably priced. The staff were wonderful, Pleasant and attentive. It was our wedding anniversary and you made it special with your generous free drink! Our family who were sharing the even8ng with us had never visited a Cote Brasserie before were extremely impressed and will visit again, We love your restaurant and I find it difficult to go elsewhere!

Always welcoming & friendly. Food reliably good as always. Excellent service & atmosphere just right. Would recommend this and we’ve eaten at 3 Cote, Dorchester, Bournemouth & Ealing & they are all good to the same superb standard

Great breakfast for Fathers Day. Super start to the day!

We have eaten at this restaurant a number of times. The food was really good and the staff very friendly. The staff became aware that my partner and I were getting married at the weekend and when we paid our bill we were given a bottle of wine on the house, a very nice ending to a great meal

One waitress was a little brisk in her manner. What was really bad was a lady in a wheelchair arrived but couldn’t get the lift to work. Her partner asked a member of staff to help. They tried for about 10 minutes but still couldn’t get the lift to work. The lady & her partner had to go away without eating as they couldn’t get into the restaurant. The member of staff nor the duty manager seemed unduly concerned which is appalling. Hopefully the staff reported to the appropriate person that the lift was unusable. When we reported it to the security guy he said he would report it & his colleague knew how to fiddle with the lift to get it to work. It shouldn’t need fiddling to get it to work. I just hope the staff offered a free meal to the lady in the wheelchair when she was able to access the restaurant as an apology for her embarrassment. The whole episode did take the edge off our enjoyment. Get the lift sorted & train the staff how to use said lift PDQ please!

Second visit to this restaurant, excellent food and a lovely atmosphere. Staff are friendly and very attentive, couldn't ask for more! We will be back again

Always enjoy our experience at Cote Brasserie Dorchester The staff are always welcoming and attentive without being in your face. Food and wines are delightful. We always use this restaurant when we have a special occasion. Only the one irritant the automatic gratuity added to the bill unless you ask the staff to remove it. It could be an embarrassment for someone who is not confident and a slightly underhand way of extracting extra money from the customer. I did explain to the waitress when I handed her a tip, it is not giving a tip for good service I mind, adding automatic gratuity isn't British as a policy.

Wonderful food. Very happy. Me and my partner had a loveky evening . Tbr steak was beautiful and the service was amazing. We will be back again soon.

We had a fantastic brunch, my husband had a full breakfast and I had eggs royale which was delicious we thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will be coming back in a few weeks time.. the service was excellent.

Great food , great staff , it just scares me that for a big chain the bill is very high and there are local fine and dine places avoided due to prospected prices.

We came to Côte Brasserie in Dorchester for a surprise birthday meal and everything was fantastic - I had asked ahead of time if they could do anything to make it extra special and they did a fantastic job! Lots of little details to make it a special evening and the food was amazing! They were particularly lovely as I had accidentally booked for the wrong evening, so despite what appeared to be a no-show from us on the previous evening, they were really accommodating, friendly, and provided a great experience. I would highly recommend!!

Hot food on hot plates, linen napkins and sparkly glasses. Excellent value with comprehensive menu, friendly staff, all good, so we will be back.

When booking online had mentioned it was for a birthday and they did a couple of surprises which was superb. Food was lovely.

God food and friendly staff! The deserts (chocolate fondant & coupe noire) were extremely good! Compliments to the chef! As “continental clients” we rate the Côte Brasserie as one of the best places to eat in an informal atmosphere in the region of Dorchester.

Fabulous meal and atmosphere, marvellous food & service. My good lady absolutely LOVED the frozen berries & white chocolate pudding! Would defiantly recommend this phenomenal restaurant.

Good choice of breakfast which was well prepared and delicious. Coffee especially good and welcomed! Efficient and pleasant service and our meal was unhurried. All in all, an excellent value for money meal. Definitely I will come again - thanks!

Good quality food as always, friendly staff who were aware of my request for window table away from the door when I arrived which was nice to see and they gave me exactly what I wanted. As I had a 4yr old with me they quickly provided drawing pens and paper to keep him amused while waiting for food. I would happily recommend Côte in Dorchester, good food and service is pretty much guaranteed.

Beware the added 'optional gratuity'! Food, service, ambience all fine and worthy of 5 stars. My reason for giving it a 3 star? On receiving the bill the four couples proceeded to work out their share of the bill and duly paid into the 'pot'. We were short. Thinking we had miscalculated, we therefore all threw extra money in to make up the difference plus a tip. Only after paying the bill did we notice that the total [in bold letters], already included a 12.5% 'optional gratuity'. We fully intended to give a tip and leave it on the table [as we usually do]. However to add on a 12.5% tip at source and make it the headline total bill, was, to our mind slightly duplicitous. Our only hope is that the gratuities do genuinely go to the staff as they worked very hard and were very efficient.

Lovely meal thank you. We love Cote and we weren’t disappointed on this visit. Always a lovely atmosphere and good service. The only thing we don’t like is the gratuity added automatically.

Nice relaxing evening with good food and wine. Good service.

As usual the months specials looked really good. Our booking was for 7:15pm and although we both ordered the Scallops, there was only 1 portion left, so we shared this together with calamari. Our mains were both from the May specials too - I chose the chargrilled lamb chops which were excellent and my partner chose the poussin, but unfortunately he had to send it back as the chicken was still a bit raw in the middle. The problem was quickly resolved when they brought him a fresh plate that he enjoyed. Shortly after we arrived, the restaurant filled up, and there were engineers going in and out of the kitchen. Given that there must’ve been a problem, the staff were lovely as usual and everyone was served quickly.

Surprisingly good and authentic French cooking for a U.K. Chain: perfectly cooked magret de canard, outstandingly good creme caramel. As good as you would get in a lot of mid-price Paris restaurants (I live in Paris). Outstanding service from an attentive waitress

I have not visited this restaurant before, and was very impressed by the ambiance. Staff were welcoming and helpful, the food delicious.. I would certainly visit again if I were in Dorchester.

We visited with three small children (6,3 and 5 months) and were welcomed in despite having booked on line for only 4 having not seen we could book for more. Prompt and efficient service. A good experience all round. Thank you.

Had a very nice evening at Cotes. Even though the restaurant was very busy we couldn't fault anything. Once again we all came to the conclusion Cotes is the best place to eat in Dorchester.

Nice buzzy atmosphere even at 7pm Food was good and service excellent my partners pud arrived 5 mins after mine so they insisted on reducing it off the bill (i had already eaten mine it was so yummy )

Excellent food and service. We had 2 children in our group who were made to feel welcome and we were impressed by the choice on the children’s menu.

We use Cote Brasserie quite often. The Dorchester branch is one of the best: The staff and management are extremely efficient and welcoming. Superb reception. Food last evening was particularly good. Steak cooked exactly to my order and the trouble's Monk fish was delightful. All in all thoroughly recommended.

The food was exceptionally good, even better than I recall from earlier visits. Will be back very soon. Service was very friendly and must put in good word for the house red.

We had lunch here today.We shared a starter of chicken liver parfait with brioche followed by belly pork and cod goujons.All the food was very good and well presented. A very enjoyable lunch.
