Côte Dorking

Staff fairly indifferent and fixed price menu portions have now got so small don't think i will be going there again. Used to be better on food portions

The six of us chose a variety of dishes, all were delicious using quality ingredients & attractively presented. Our waitress was extremely efficient, pleasant and helpful. We will return.

The excellent staff made our visit special. They engaged with us and shared in our laughter. The food and drink were up to the usual Cote standard. We greatly enjoyed our Cote experience.

A varied and very good menu, staff were especially helpful and recommended a couple of very good wines. We thoroughly enjoyed the evening as a birthday celebration for one of our group.

Cote has good bistro food. The waiting staff are friendly service. The restaurant is clean. It is a good place for an evening out with the family.

We dined on the fixed price 10 year anniversary menu which was very nice and good value for money. Glass of champagne and 3 good courses for £27.50. I especially liked the orange crepe with flaming Grand Marnier. A Saturday night in August was not very busy. Service was attentive but we were never rushed or pressured.

It was my first visit and I thoroughly enjoyed it - the food was excellent and the service prompt and friendly. The décor and atmosphere were also very pleasing. My only disappointment was that my companion told me she had been given a free bottle of wine on her first visit but when I went on the website to register my interest in that there was a message that that wasn't happening at the moment! Otherwise, I have no complaints, only compliments.

Dorking was as great as Horsham. The usual lovely food. Only issue with GF menu we had a separate waiter to take the GF order which was a bit odd and slightly embarrassing for the GF member of our party. Do you think you could not single people out like that.. and what is with the GF Flag in the food - do we want the whole world to know!! Otherwise, lovely atmosphere and great food - even the GF. Thanks.

The Cotes in Dorking is really worth a visit. It is ideally located for parking and only a short walk to arrive. The staff there are very professional and polite. The food prepared and cooked from our choice on the menu was presented to our table in good time and delivered hot. This particular Cote had a good chef today as the food was well cooked enjoyed by all our party of four.

Always love Cote, very reliable and good quality food (especially the desserts!) I find service is better on a busy evening such as the weekend, we went when it was quiet so that is why we didn't give it a 6 on this occasion.

The food is excellent and we enjoyed your 10th anniversary meal that included a glass of champagne which was very welcome. The ambience and the service were very good. We will definitely be returning soon.

We were given a very warm welcome, served quickly, and enjoyed the food and the good value. We will be back again next month if not sooner.

Food was very good as it always is. Service a little slow at lunch time normally it is very good when we go in the evening.

Excellent service, value, food. Always consistent. We usually go for the steak frites on the special menu, while there is always a good selection of other dishes. Langoustine delicious.

Great service, delicious food and most importantly for me there was a varied choice of gluten free food. I felt like I didn't have to worry about cross contamination or mistakes as the manager took my order and my meal arrived with a gluten free flag so that gave me peace of mind.

Went for my wife's 40th birthday celebration !!Fantastic staff and food out of this world !! And the prices are very reasonable and lovely setting.

Love going to Cote in Dorking. Had Calamari to start with followed by steak and delicious chocolate fondant to finish. Really tasty dishes and the staff were attentive and friendly.

We really enjoyed our meal and the staff were very helpful in allowing us to sit at table of our choice, although we knew it was for a restricted time as had been prebooked , we did appreciate being able to sit outside

We have been here several times and the food is always fabulous, the service is efficient and the waiters/waitresses are superb and the atmosphere lovely! I would definitely recommend eating here!

Very friendly welcome and attentive service. Food up to usual high standard. We had the July special and a bottle of the recommended wine which was very good.

Not very busy but took a long time to get a main and dessert. The minute steak was not as thin as usual in other cote but tender enough.

Despite the restaurant being busy the service was good and the food was prompt and freshly cooked. We all ordered something different and all enjoyed our breakfast.

The food and service were very good and the restaurant was nice and cool on a very warm evening. The "specials" offer very good value for money and have a good selection. I had a chicken and walnut salad and the chicken was tender and nicely charred and there were plenty of walnuts and avocado. The chocolate mousse for dessert was delicious. The staff are attentive but we didn't feel hurried.

Breakfast is lovely and at a great price. We had the hot breakfast with a soft drink and coffee coming to £20 for both of us. Always a real treat!

Unfortunately we picked a very busy evening (Thursday!) and it took far too long to receive our food. The waitress was very apologetic and very attentive, but that didn't recompense for the long delay (nor the free coffees we wouldn't have ordered any way). It was the first outing out for my son whose wife had just had their third child and he was suffering from sleep deprivation. Waiting 45 minutes for food was not what he needed! Fortunately the cod in Savoie ham was excellent and much appreciated by both of us. Had we been given our creme brulees free of charge it would have left us with a better feeling that you had really taken on board that you had not coped well and did not have enough staff to manage.

The staff were a bit over zealous. We just wanted to talk. Food was great and I can't fault it otherwise. Will go again though.

Easy to book and as always staff at Cote were brilliant and helpful. Our meals were served quickly and as always the cuisine was up to its normal high standard

Good food as usual but took us 2 hours to complete our meal when restaurant was half full. Too slow between courses and not sure why.

Overall a very good meal, only spoilt by chips for my grand daughters meal appearing 10 min after the main course was delivered to the table and not getting an apology.

Excellent meal and service. Only disappointment was when we both ordered the same starter only one was available. Oh, and the other one was that the substitute vichyssoise (cold) was rather lacking in taste - my wife reckoned the veggies has not been sweated long enough before cooking and blending.

This wasn't a great experience. Felt the waiters rushed the orders and didn't get a chance to view the options as my friend was late. Also was seated outside and at 8.56 got told we had to come in as residents locally say we had to be inside by 9pm. At no point in the evening were we told this so we had to rush finishing our meal in order to move. When I asked why we hadn't been given advanced warning was told by two waiters that they had when clearly they didn't. The whole experience was not satisfying apart from good food the service was awful and I would not recommend this!

The food was good, service a bit slow. They accommodated our dietary needs well. We would go back again probably. Not my favourite restaurant in Dorking but not bad.

We had prompt attentive service in a lovely setting allowing al fresco dinning. We will be back for coffee and pastries. Maybe even for lunch also.

We were made very welcome. The food was served quickly and was perfectly cooked, and the free offer a Kir Royale to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Dorking Cote was much appreciated.
