The service was extremely slow and we waited 40 minutes for our starters to arrive. One of our party being v elderly ate slowly but 2 of the main courses were over cooked and the skin of the fish was burnt. The staff were more interested in talking amongst themselves than serving and my husband had to try to interrupt their chat to order our desserts. We were very disappointed with the service and would hestitate to return.

WE booked an hour .....before going for the Mothers Day Breakfast......luckily...as the restaurant was fully booked ....! and they had to turn people away....every table was full...but the staff were cheerful and friendly and welcoming...the food was delicious and served very quickly ...despite being so busy....I will go again.

Very good. Table was ready on arrival. Service was good and food of excellent quality. I can’t wait for my next visit.oyr waiter was very nice and unobtrusive.

We had a family get together for six people. It was great fun and the service was very good. Some us had the March specials. I had the warm Tiger Prawns and the Lamb which was very good.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal, and of course we will be back. We have yet to be disappointed in Cote and consider it ti outstanding value for money. This is not always easy to find.

Menu has hardly changed over a long period of time. I used to be a very regular diner at your restaurants, but have move to other venues for a change of menu. I came back to Cote last week to try again, but little has changed, the quality is good, but more variety is needed over time.

Lovely welcome from Dorking restaurant , swift , friendly service and a breakfast and coffee that really “hit the spot”! Very good value for money.

The food was very good, the steak was one of the best I’ve had in a while.the waitress was attentive and service was quick and efficient.

As always we had an amazing meal at cote dorking, my favourite restaurant. Food, service and atmosphere all perfect. But what always makes our meal special is seeing chiprian.,, he is the best member of staff you could wish for! Always welcoming, happy friendly and all round amazing!

Friendly staff, lovely atmosphere. Food was delicious. Husband has to have a gluten free diet, Cote provided the best range of gluten free choices that we have ever seen. Would highly recommend.

lovely sunny day, so decided on lunch @ COTE. The restaurant was warm and inviting , as to the welcome from Katarina, and the team there. Superb starters,beautifully presented...the whitebait in its own mini frying pan, and the goats cheese was delicious. Mains of butterflied chicken were wonderfully seasoned, perched on a bed of mash,with petit pois +lardons. Irresistible creme caramels,were perfect! The delicious meal, attentive service throughout by Irena and Ciara,and a spotlessly clean restaurant, we are very lucky to have this restaurant in Dorking...well done.

A superb visit as always. We dine at Cote Dorking regularly and the food is always excellent and the staff very friendly and helpful. Best restaurant I know for an unfailingly outstanding experience.

First time at Cote Dorking, but I am pleased to say that the quality of service, food and value for money was up to the brand exceptional standards.

Booked a table for mothers day for 6 of us. Asked for a table near toilets for disabled member of party and this request was accomadated. Lovely setting and all staff so very friendly. Nothing was to much trouble and even a slight mishap with our order was corrected quickly and efficiently and this was on a considerably busy day. None of our party had eaten a meal in Cote before but will happily eat here again and recommend to others. Good quality food and at a good price. Thank you. I very much look forward to dining here again soon.

Seven of us came to Cote yesterday evening to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. We have had dinner in Cote probably four or five times and have also had lunch here. We decided to come to your restaurant on past experiences - and I now wish we had not chosen your restaurant in Dorking. The restaurant wasn't particularly busy when we arrived at 20:00. It took a while for the waitress to take our starter order - 2 x Olives and 3 x Bread Basket to eat with our starters. The starters did not come out at the same time and four of our party were waiting a good 5 minutes before the remaining starters were served up - so hot food cooled down significantly during the wait. After finishing our starters, we waited quite a while for the table to be cleared, and we waited ages to be served our main courses. With regard to my dish, the vegetables under the lamb were, at best, tepid with the lamb placed on top at a much higher temperature. My brother left most of his crepe - he didn't want to make a fuss at the time, neither did I because this was supposed to be an evening where we all enjoying ourselves. No-one wanted to spoil the evening but on leaving the restaurant, we all agreed it was sadly lacking, from the non-attentive service to the quality of the food. I know that the service charge is discretionary and I could have asked for it to be removed but £37.10 is a lot of money to pay out for this woeful dining 'experience'. Sadly, I won't be venturing to Cote in Dorking any time soon and I certainly won't be recommending to family and friends. For our next big celebratory meal we may very well try out one of the independents, Sorrel or Salt Pig. I really do feel I've been mugged being presented with a food bill for £335! Cote Dorking - you need to up your game.

As always the food was fantastic, staff attentive and lovely and the atmosphere was great. I have visited many Cote Brasserie's but Dorking is by far the best.

Really enjoyed our breakfast to celebrate my daughters 18th birthday with family and friends- a great venue for groups of 25-35. We had to pre-order the food and drink. Would recommend asking for coffee/tea to be served at the end.

All Cote restaurants are consistently good but Dorking has the edge for location , food and service . Inside or outside on a warm day it’s a great place to eat.

Would have given 6 stars except for the fact we asked the waitress for an extra 2 or 3 minutes before taking our order whilst one of our party made some final menu choices. That 2 or 3 minutes became 15 to 20 minutes; suspect we may have been forgotten! Apart from that, would recommend Cote Brasserie without any hesitation.

Great food, great service. No complaints. Reasonable prices. Have been before and will go again. A member of our party was 50 mins late, and they managed to deliver his main at the same time as the rest. Well managed.

On a cold January evening, the restaurant was warm and cosy (as far as a largish room can be cosy). The lamb shanks were delicious, the Merlot war the right temperature, and the waitress was attentive . To be repeated again soon? Of course.

Whether you come here for breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner you will not be disappointed with the excellent service, and freshly prepared meals. Fishy things are always great, as too the steaks and vegetarian selection.The restaurant is well run, spotlessly clean, and you will be well looked after by all the team there. I noticed there is a gluten free menu, as well as the menu-enfants (which was very popular during half term)...the sun shone, the fizz flowed...superb..thank you and of course there is an outside terrace!!

We are Cote Dorking regulars and have never been remotely disappointed with the food or the service (the latter of which is exceptional) given the very reasonable cost.

Not as good as usual. Came for brunch as we fairly regularly do. Plates looked quite messy...bit stingy with the bacon....mushrooms weren't hot. Waitress great but more senior staff didn't seem to be providing much back up, and seemed cross (with us) when we pointed out that our hot drinks, which we'd been waiting for for some time, had been sitting on the side by the coffee machine right behind the manager, even when we'd asked for them. We gathered that they'd run out of milk - the cause of the original delay. How is that possible at 12noon on a Saturday?? A neighbouring table never got their hot drinks at all and when they asked for the price to be taken off the bill were told it was cheaper even without the drinks to pay the Breakfast deal price. They tried to explain that they wanted money off that because they'd been waiting so long, and were told they'd still be charged the full breakfast price. So they decided to wait even longer for drinks as it was clear no-one was going to take any money off. All in all, quite a disappointment. Usually much more efficient and gracious. To reiterate, our waitress was doing her best - looked to us as if she was the only one who was engaging with service at all.

The waiter told me that on their fixed price menu (£11.50 - £13.50 ) they didn't have any white bait fish as a starter. I asked if I could have another fish starter that is on the other menu, Calamari, he said no. Her should of offered me that as a substitute, even as a one off as I am a regular customer at Cotes Dorking branch. I found his response quite poor, and wasn't making any allowance for the customer - seems wasn't putting the customer first. Considering he should of said when giving us the menu, we have had no delivery of White Bait fish. He should of put the customer first & offered me an alternative fish starter. This is quite poor response. But overall the food was nice

Excellent, as always. The French onion soup and Breton chicken are my particular favourites. It was good to see most of the tables filled: it was nearly empty on our last visit though I suspect that was due to bad weather.

Great service by the staff. Really friendly and accommodating. Enjoyed the starter (calamari), really light and fresh. Was a bit disappointed by the steak. It was advertised as rib eye but was too thin and did not taste fresh. I asked for it medium but it was well done due to it being quite thin. Really happy with the free bottle of wine though as a first time customer!
