Very nice very good service great value very friendly team
The service was extremely slow and we waited 40 minutes for our starters to arrive. One of our party being v elderly ate slowly but 2 of the main courses were over cooked and the skin of the fish was burnt. The staff were more interested in talking amongst themselves than serving and my husband had to try to interrupt their chat to order our desserts. We were very disappointed with the service and would hestitate to return.
Busy restaurant for a random Thursday lunchtime, but the food is good and service too, so we are not really surprised. We will return before too long.
WE booked an hour .....before going for the Mothers Day Breakfast......luckily...as the restaurant was fully booked ....! and they had to turn people away....every table was full...but the staff were cheerful and friendly and welcoming...the food was delicious and served very quickly ...despite being so busy....I will go again.

Very good. Table was ready on arrival. Service was good and food of excellent quality. I can’t wait for my next visit.oyr waiter was very nice and unobtrusive.
A Sunday evening, so almost no customers, I would estimate 25 covers mac. Totally disinterested staff, lazy kitchen who couldn’t get the basics right, and a team who huffed and puffed their way through even the smallest request, as if we’d interupted their Sunday evening. The food, bar one dish was OK, but sadly let down by the team.
Great welcome, cheffing and service the usual high standard. This is our favourite Cote which is why we keep coming back! You have an excellent team at Dorking.

Great service great value great staff..thank you see you soon rhubarb martini fabulous
Our Mother's Day brunch was great. The food was delicious, together with the glass of Champagne, the staff were very friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was great.
Great food and service. But stopped serving alcohol at 10.30, which since there were plenty of other people still in the restaurant, seemed very strange and really put a damper on the evening, especially since we had to wait nearly an hour for a taxi. Is this usual in all Cote restaurants?
Great food and amazing service - our waiter Joaquín gave us the most incredible five star service. Never experienced a waiter as diligent and helpful. Outstanding!
Delicious brunch, as always in calm surroundings Great value for money too Thoroughly recommend
We had a family get together for six people. It was great fun and the service was very good. Some us had the March specials. I had the warm Tiger Prawns and the Lamb which was very good.
Really enjoy the meal with my family!! Thank you so much for food and excellent service from Ciprian!!! Please pass my regards to him!!!! Atmosphere and food were amazing too!!
Beautiful food, fantastic value and excellent staff, I would highly recommend to anyone. We all had the set menu, the choice was really good, we also had 2 bottles of the Merlot which was really good.
On a rare occasion when all our children are home at the same time, cote is the only place where they want to go. Great service, great food and great fun
The food was of a good standard. Unfortunately we had to wait for the side dish of vegetables which they had forgotten bout. Also, one of our party asked for another drink but again this was overlooked and she never got it.
Wonderful food and service. Loved the rhubarb martini. Like having new dishes and the old favourites on the menu
Lovely warm reception from Virginia and Cip...family treat to celebrate a Birthday....excellent choice of starters, the Asparagus , particularly nice, and the fishy mains proved popular as was the grilled chicken and 'steak frites'. Was quite busy for a mid-week dinner, so as always, best to book ahead if you are a group, and of course the opportunity is there to mention, celebrations & allergies.
Always a pleasure to eat here. Very tasty food & wine & good service at a reasonable price & only a short walk from home! What’s not to like?!
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal, and of course we will be back. We have yet to be disappointed in Cote and consider it ti outstanding value for money. This is not always easy to find.
Thank you for today. We enjoyed our lunch. All staff pleasant and welcoming.
Came for breakfast had a lovely meal food was delicious service was great, atmosphere also pleasant safe so helpful overall perfect
We asked four times for our wine which arrived in time for the main course. I would NT have paid the service charge but my wife didn’t want to make a fuss.
Lovely early evening dinner food and service exceptional will. Be returning very soon.
Good quality food in pleasant surroundings served by friendly and helpful staff. The bill was significantly higher than the advertised early bird special price once we added vegetables and a glass of wine each.
Lovely enjoyable fresh food. Great strong coffee, a mint with the coffee would be been a bonus. If you have hearing aids it is better to sit in the first part of the restaurant close to the bar. Always tricky with hearing aids as noise bounces around hard flat walls.
Excellent service from managing staff and waitress, thank you. Small hiccup with two options of lamb which was rectified and the correct one brought after it was identified as the wrong one. Compensated with a g and t whilst waiting. Good food. Sent from my iPhone
Excellent meal as always, good value and fabulous service. Would thoroughly recommend.
By far our favourite restaurant. Excellent team; good food, lively atmosphere. Few, if any, pubs can match this level of cooking, service and ambiance for the same money. Keep it up and we'll keep coming - and bringing our friends too.

Excellent food, slow service! We arrived for a 7:30 booking to a packed restaurant so we didn't expect speedy service. We were prepared for things to take time. The dinner started well, the waitress was friendly and the food was excellent. However when it came to paying the bill, we waited 40 minutes!!!! We asked the waitress first who clearly forgot. Then we managed to get the attention of who we assumed was a manager (although her leopard print shirt was very unprofessional!) who eventually gave us the bill. Considering we were already waiting with our cards out ready to pay and plenty of waiters walking past, they seemed more concerned with their after work drinks then taking our payment. What started as a good night ended with us leaving pretty annoyed as even though the restaurant was emptying the service got slower to basically non-existent!
My wife and I enjoy having brunch out and our preferred restaurant is always Côte. It maintains a high standard of service while the food is well priced and inariablyof excellent quality.
Very enjoyable birthday celebration with free kir royales for all our party. Good atmosphere and excellent service from our waitress. A great evening.
Great restaurant with good quality food. Only issue was that we booked on line for Al La Carte menu with free bottle of wine and were seated by reception staff and waiting staff acknowledging the offer. Bill presented without offer deducted and then had to wait for 10 minutes for manager to resolve the issue. Top tip to Cote Chef: if serving a shared between 2 Chateaubriand steak at £20 a head, then serve with an equal number of slices as 5 does not divide by 2 without remedial knife work.
Breton fish stew was tasty and wholesome and lamb chops were superb, probably the tastiest we've had. Service good and friendly. As usual a pleasant evening.
Lovely venue with nice staff & good service, but my roast haddock was disappointing - small & overcooked. The fish was dry and stuck to the skin, thereby further reducing the amount of edible flesh.
Good food, helpful, friendly and professional staff. Lovely chilled atmosphere - brought back memories of being in a restaurant in France. A long relaxed lunch with friend we hadn’t seen in a long while.
Not as good as usual. Came for brunch as we fairly regularly do. Plates looked quite messy...bit stingy with the bacon....mushrooms weren't hot. Waitress great but more senior staff didn't seem to be providing much back up, and seemed cross (with us) when we pointed out that our hot drinks, which we'd been waiting for for some time, had been sitting on the side by the coffee machine right behind the manager, even when we'd asked for them. We gathered that they'd run out of milk - the cause of the original delay. How is that possible at 12noon on a Saturday?? A neighbouring table never got their hot drinks at all and when they asked for the price to be taken off the bill were told it was cheaper even without the drinks to pay the Breakfast deal price. They tried to explain that they wanted money off that because they'd been waiting so long, and were told they'd still be charged the full breakfast price. So they decided to wait even longer for drinks as it was clear no-one was going to take any money off. All in all, quite a disappointment. Usually much more efficient and gracious. To reiterate, our waitress was doing her best - looked to us as if she was the only one who was engaging with service at all.
The meal was fine, but the waiting staff were less than friendly. A smile once in a while would have made it a much more pleasurable experience.
Good welcome from staff. Food was well cooked and just right. It came in about the right time, was really hot. No pressure and nice ambience today.
EXCELLENT IN EVERY ASPECT,GOOD FOOD,EXCELLENT AND CURTEOUS SERVICE NICE SURROUNDINGS . THE STAFF ARE VERY ATTENTIVE AND KEEN TO ENSURE YOU ENJOY EVERY MINUTE OF YOUR VISIT. WOULD THOROUGHLY RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT TO OTHERS.
All was good - portion size excellent. 2 points: *the fennel was a bit hard and although parts were tender most of it could have been cooked a bit longer too. * We ordered sweet courses and the coffee came before the sweet. I would hope that it would come after. Also the double espresso was not particularly hot.
The waiter told me that on their fixed price menu (£11.50 - £13.50 ) they didn't have any white bait fish as a starter. I asked if I could have another fish starter that is on the other menu, Calamari, he said no. Her should of offered me that as a substitute, even as a one off as I am a regular customer at Cotes Dorking branch. I found his response quite poor, and wasn't making any allowance for the customer - seems wasn't putting the customer first. Considering he should of said when giving us the menu, we have had no delivery of White Bait fish. He should of put the customer first & offered me an alternative fish starter. This is quite poor response. But overall the food was nice
Waitress was polite and attentive, but without being intrusive or made us feel rushed. food was delivered promptly but tasty and wine complimented it all.
Excellent in all areas. Exemplorary service was matched by top quality food. Duck was perfectly cooked. When asked for matching wine, the waiter provided a lovely accompaniment. Will obviously visit again many more times.
Excellent, as always. The French onion soup and Breton chicken are my particular favourites. It was good to see most of the tables filled: it was nearly empty on our last visit though I suspect that was due to bad weather.
We enjoyed a great evening at Cote Dorking. It was my daughter’s birthday. The restaurant is quite large but also cosy. The staff were friendly and perfectly attentive. The food was delicious. Thank you!
Great service by the staff. Really friendly and accommodating. Enjoyed the starter (calamari), really light and fresh. Was a bit disappointed by the steak. It was advertised as rib eye but was too thin and did not taste fresh. I asked for it medium but it was well done due to it being quite thin. Really happy with the free bottle of wine though as a first time customer!
Cote were excellent when they first started, then dipped a bit but they’re back up there again. I wouldn’t normally order chicken on a night out as it’s usually a boring choice, but they do it so well, it’s really tasty! The cheese selection after was delicious too.
Lovely Brunch today the first I have had in Cote Brasserie usually have lunches and evening meals. So nice to try something different for a change usually go to Carluccios in Cobham for Breakfast and Brunch. It was a good experience but the portion control at Cote is not a patch on Carluccios but the quality of food is better at Cote. (You can't have it all)
