The service was extremely slow and we waited 40 minutes for our starters to arrive. One of our party being v elderly ate slowly but 2 of the main courses were over cooked and the skin of the fish was burnt. The staff were more interested in talking amongst themselves than serving and my husband had to try to interrupt their chat to order our desserts. We were very disappointed with the service and would hestitate to return.

The food was of a good standard. Unfortunately we had to wait for the side dish of vegetables which they had forgotten bout. Also, one of our party asked for another drink but again this was overlooked and she never got it.

Good quality food in pleasant surroundings served by friendly and helpful staff. The bill was significantly higher than the advertised early bird special price once we added vegetables and a glass of wine each.

Always a friendly welcome, but we had to ask for a nicer table because we were offered one between upper & lower areas in a throughway. Service was good and food excellent.

Excellent service, I returned my minute steak because it was a bit too rare and it was replaced without any fuss by a charming waitress.

Booked a table for mothers day for 6 of us. Asked for a table near toilets for disabled member of party and this request was accomadated. Lovely setting and all staff so very friendly. Nothing was to much trouble and even a slight mishap with our order was corrected quickly and efficiently and this was on a considerably busy day. None of our party had eaten a meal in Cote before but will happily eat here again and recommend to others. Good quality food and at a good price. Thank you. I very much look forward to dining here again soon.

Really nice meal, my partner had the duck and it wasnt very good but they happily swapped it for a replacement. The monkfish i had didnt agree with me been on the toilet since i got home and was in the restaurant on it for half an hour. Overrall it was really pleasant though cant fault anything

As always the food was fantastic, staff attentive and lovely and the atmosphere was great. I have visited many Cote Brasserie's but Dorking is by far the best.

Really enjoyed our breakfast to celebrate my daughters 18th birthday with family and friends- a great venue for groups of 25-35. We had to pre-order the food and drink. Would recommend asking for coffee/tea to be served at the end.

Whether you come here for breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner you will not be disappointed with the excellent service, and freshly prepared meals. Fishy things are always great, as too the steaks and vegetarian selection.The restaurant is well run, spotlessly clean, and you will be well looked after by all the team there. I noticed there is a gluten free menu, as well as the menu-enfants (which was very popular during half term)...the sun shone, the fizz flowed...superb..thank you and of course there is an outside terrace!!

The food was incredible! And we had some great service. We ordered a bottle of the Picpoul De Pinet which was also fantastic. Would definitely recomend this restaurant to others.

No complaints with food or service but I like to choose who I have dinner with. Placing other diners on tables within inches when alternatives are available ruined the experience for me.

Always a nice atmosphere, attentive staff and good food. Menu is a little limited but what is served is always well cooked, fresh and tasty. Good idea to book online as they are always busy.

Lovely venue with nice staff & good service, but my roast haddock was disappointing - small & overcooked. The fish was dry and stuck to the skin, thereby further reducing the amount of edible flesh.

All was good - portion size excellent. 2 points: *the fennel was a bit hard and although parts were tender most of it could have been cooked a bit longer too. * We ordered sweet courses and the coffee came before the sweet. I would hope that it would come after. Also the double espresso was not particularly hot.

Excellent in all areas. Exemplorary service was matched by top quality food. Duck was perfectly cooked. When asked for matching wine, the waiter provided a lovely accompaniment. Will obviously visit again many more times.

We enjoyed a great evening at Cote Dorking. It was my daughter’s birthday. The restaurant is quite large but also cosy. The staff were friendly and perfectly attentive. The food was delicious. Thank you!

Great service by the staff. Really friendly and accommodating. Enjoyed the starter (calamari), really light and fresh. Was a bit disappointed by the steak. It was advertised as rib eye but was too thin and did not taste fresh. I asked for it medium but it was well done due to it being quite thin. Really happy with the free bottle of wine though as a first time customer!
