Côte Dorking

We visited Cote Brasserie in Dorking for the first time yesterday for a pre-theatre dinner. This was our first visit to this branch of Cote and the welcome was friendly and the setting and ambience were just right. We enjoyed complimentary pre-theatre drinks (kir royale on the presentation of our theatre tickets) and all three courses were delicious - exactly as we expected, nicely presented and with efficient and friendly service. The loos were also nicely appointed and clean. Highly recommended.

Small bottles of very overpriced, and not that cold, lager. Why not better lager? Rest of experience was fab. Great service, decent Sauvignon table wine. Definitely come again.

All was fine especially the egg floretinewhich is a favourite. Service good except that I had to point out that the bill had not reflected our special offer which I would have expected them to know through the booking.

Ham in Starter was very tough -- maybe should be sliced more delicately Main course - chicken -- generous portion but a bit dry Service efficient although not sure about waitress with large ring in her nose

Brilliant staff..we had the promotion menu which was just ok.always super staff and ambience.normally we have the a la carte and will stick to that in future. Thank you

Another very good meal with excellent service as always at this restaurant . Busy and nicely atmospheric... it seems to be the go to place to be in Dorking both at lunch and dinner times . Will be back there within a week .

A pleasant meal served by efficient, helpful and pleasant staff Not our first visit and it will not be our last Plenty of choice on the menu and the ambience added to the overall experience

Great atmosphere and food. We got a free bottle of wine which was enjoyed and the service was good too. Only negative was that it was expensive for 4 of us, even with the free wine I think it was £160?

The service and food was great as usual? Always a good atmosphere. DORKING Cote is the place to go. So easy to book on line. Go for it!

We are regulars at our local branch as always we can rely on great food and great service. We always go to Cote when we can.

We had a very enjoyable meal for two. It was a quiet evening in the restaurant, and the service was good. The food was delicious and beautifully presented (I had pork belly and she had the cod), and the wine was good.

A really pleasant meal in a nice atmosphere with great service. The restaurant was very busy but the service was efficient and friendly without being too overbearing.

Slow service and some details missed, but issues were redeemed by manager with feedback and discount applied for recovery of bad customer service. Good food

We appreciated my birthday Kir Royale! Our waiters were friendly and efficient and the menu choice was excellent. Thank you for yet another great meal. I am already looking forward to my next visit. The staff all work well and happily together and nothing is too much trouble. We like all the Cotes we visit but the nearest, in Dorking, is our favourite situated as it is in a quiet courtyard.

A very pleasant evening. Excellent service, and good food in convenient location. The house wine is excellent value and a glass of calvados went very well with the tart tatin.

Had a lovely meal in Cote in Dorking for Mother's Day. Great food and attentive service. My mum very much enjoyed it as did my brother and I.

The restaurant was very busy and we had to wait for the manager to become available to show us to our table, but once we were seated our order was taken fairly quickly, although placing the order was difficult due to the noise level. We soon received the bread and olives we ordered, but our starters arrived before we had finished those. However, the food was up to its usual high standard and our waiter was friendly and helpful. Overall it was a very enjoyable evening.

Really helpful and friendly staff who bend over backwards to assist with our poorly son, even overing to replace his steak that has got slightly cold.

Very easy booking process. Went for Mother's Day champagne breakfast and had Fabulous service and wonderful food in a great atmosphere. Very good value. Lovely meal, thank you

Great local place to meet friends, chat and eat, really good inexpensive food suitable for every appetite. The team at Dorking are very friendly, attentive and efficient and the special celebration days eg Mothers Day, Valentines etc offer really good value for money specials.

Excellent meal - suited our all age party. Did feel though at 10pm that staff were looking forward to going home. lots of clearing up going on - our waitress finished her shift - it would have been nice if she had said goodbye as her service was excellent and then I had to ask for the bill twice and go to the front desk to pay.

Lovely clean resteraunt , very polite staff, amazing crepes! Only little point was one, fries suggested as a side ( with crepes & risotto ?) we opted for green side salad, which arrived after our mains. However it is such a lovely resteraunt and I look forward to visiting again soon.

Food delicious. Service very good. Table slightly small. Complimentary birthday treat! Nice candle lit restaurant with good atmosphere. Would like to have seen a vegetarian special.

We enjoyed our visit eventually but did have an issue with the Manager over a Cote Award of a free bottle of wine which hadn't appeared on their system. I produced the email confirming the booking but that wasn't sufficient so had to re-book whilst the waiter supervised. That didn't work so I had to do it again as their system still hadnt received it. We did ask for a drink in the meantime but from a 7.30 booking it was 8.15 when they eventually cleared the problem and allowed us service! Not good for customer relations.

We were greeted on Arrival...and shown to our table...offered a choice of menus...we chose the Mother's Day Champagne Brunch....which arrived quickly and was delicious...and served with freshly made toast...the juice tasted like freshly squeezed orange juice....the service was friendly and good. We would definitely go back again.

I took my son out for dinner on Mother day, food was very nice, great service, waiter been very helpful when you got question about food.

Restaurant decor was very nice and tables well laid out. Food was good and a reasonable choice on the early evening menu. Service was good and the waiter pleasant.

They had the reservation we were greeted on arrivall....the staff were lovely...service was good...food was delicious and very reasonably priced...and I will definitely visit again.

An excellent meal, our waiter was very helpful in helping us to decide from many choices available. We had a nice table, only spoilt by an annoying person complaining for the sake of complaining, insisting on trying the wine first. Obviously trying to impress the lady he was with, should think she was totally bored with him. Although the waiter didn't bat an eyelid, very professional & assisted.

Lovely bright restaurant,. Great service; busy bank holiday but didn't have to wait too long. Food delicious. One of our dishes was slightly under par but management dealt with it in a professional manner. Would definitely go back. Thank you for an enjoyable visit

Lovely restaurant it has a, great ambiance. Staff are charming and helpful, greeting us when we arrived and attentive and efficient throughout our meal. The food was hot and well presented, it was very tasty.

We have never had a disappointment at Cote, Dorking either in the quality of the food or the efficiency of the service. The staff all work together as one big team and are always friendly and caring.

Our lunch was very average - my seafood linguine had hardly any sauce, my mum's soup had no seasoning and was bland; the service was poor, with waiters and waitresses slow and continually chatting to one another. I'm not sure I would consider returning here.

Good food and attentive service. Not too sure about the 12.5% service charge system - even though it's 'optional'. I'm happy to tip but prefer to decide for myself on the level.

OK although my steak was a bit chewy!! The salad was a small bowl and a bit boring, a bit of spinach and endive. I asked to replace the spinach and fries with a green salad with the steak have the pepper steak but paid the same price. Not rushing back!
