I thought the food was great, with a nice atmosphere and friendly staff. The steak was cooked perfectly, I definitely will be coming back in the near future.

We always look forward to dining at Cote; as usual we experienced good attentive service but it was the first time my main course arrived cold although my husband’s and the ‘sides’ were hot - obviously my plate had been left standing - an issue of timing I suppose

There were five of us in our group. We each had a starter and a main, but you'd never knew it if you'd seen our plates at the end. Delicious! Too good to leave anything behind. The view, atmosphere and staff were all brilliant. Can't wait to go again.

Courteous staff, nice table by the window, overlooking the Cathedral. Fixed menu has small and delicious dishes with subtle flavours. Will definitely return!

As always, excellent food and great service at very competitive prices. We are always pleased with the consistency of the services from Cote. We have visited Cote restaurants in various cities in England and have enjoyed the experience in every one of them.

We had a nice time but we were really disappointed that the chateaubriand had already run out by 7pm as we came especially for this.

I enjoyed my meal tremendously but my friend, a non-meat eater, found the fish portion small and without potatoes, so she said she was still hungry when she left.

We had an excellent experience. The food was delicious, perfect portion size and very tasty. The service was attentive and friendly without being overbearing. I requested a window seat which we got.

Really great food. Service initially slow and aloof but improved throughout evening. Smiling helpful staff make such a difference. More please. Will certainly return. Thanks.

Cote Brasserie is my default restaurant whenever I am out with friends in Exeter as I know that it will not disappoint. I have always found the food to be superb and sensibly priced, the service is extremely good and of course, what a splendid location.

Fantastic evening, can't generally complain. If we were being picky on our 5 star rating it was very noisy and we couldn't hear each other around the table. My husband would have liked some tomatoes or something else with his steak and fries. However brilliant meal and would definitely recommend. Thank you.

Arrived on time, sat down promptly but then left for about 20 minutes till even acknowledged. Then ordered food and drinks, food came out quick, but took over 15 mins to clear started after we had finished, never asked for another drinks option either! Main came quickly after being cleared! Then left completely after mains, no offer of dessert, nearly walked out! Even had the waiters arguing stood next to our table.

I enjoyed a delicious lunch and coffee with a friend in Exeter, including the bonus of a complimentary Kir Royale for my birthday.

Felt very rushed, squeezed into a table next to a table of 6 and a wall. Some of my duck wasn’t cooked at all, didn’t mention it because we wanted to leave. My girlfriends pork belly was really good though

Lively and comfortable. Swift and friendly service. Very good food, generous portions and well cooked and presented. good range of choice on menu. Very reasonable for the price.

We were delayed on the M5 on our journey from Oxford to Exeter to meet our granddaughter at Cote. We asked for our booking to be delayed for 45 minutes and were impressed to find that staff at Cote were aware of our travel problems and gave us complimentary coffee after our meal. The service and food were excellent.

10 out of 10 for the delicious food, selection of drinks, level of service and value for money. It's like a little bit of France in the middle of Exeter. Can't beat it.... A must!!

I went to Cote for my 21st birthday for lunch with family. The meal was delicious and I got a glass of complimentary bubbly too! The waiters and waitresses were very friendly and the atmosphere was great. We sat upstairs with a beautiful view of the cathedral.

Stopped off for a lovely two-course birthday lunch, light but delicious with an abundance of complimentary flavours. Staff were great, just the right blend of friendliness, but never over-attentive.

Excellent food and service as usual. Shame so many cancelled lunch because of virus concern. There was extra cleaning and sanitation in place. Glad we went before the world closes down on panic and over reacting. Life goes on.

Came for my birthday lunch with all my family and we had great fun and yummy food. The service was brilliant as usual. Everyone thanked me for choosing to have my lunch there as they had enjoyed it so much.

Super food and drink., the complimentary St Germain Spritz’s we’re very welcome. Disappointed you didn’t have the veal special which is what we’d come for, the Jerusalem artichoke with the chicken special we’re superb though.

Good,friendly service Nice cocktail, excellent steak tartare, good goujons, chips could have been cooked a bit more. Wine Bergerac white not quite chilled enough. Great expresso but a small biscuit or something would have been nice. Lovely view. Thanks guys and girls

Excellent meal, although I think it is a bit of a cheek to add on a voluntary 12.5% gratuity.

Staff was very helpful, especially when we wanted to change the table due to the draft downstairs.

Always great food at a great price. Wish we had one in Cornwall.
