Great waitress, she was helpful and charming, quick service, delicious tuna, always is. Easy website for booking and was accommodated earlier than booking. Overall, good place for lunch in Exeter.
Poor service, only the manager checked if food was ok , asked once No wine poured for us Very poor quality main meal (Breton chicken) Got fed up waiting for waitresses to come back for coffee order so didn’t bother having any! Disappointing!
Really lovely leisurely Saturday lunch with three good friends. Food was excellent and as usual there was a great atmosphere. Definitely a favourite place for me.
Lovely restaurant with great food and friendly staff who offered us a drink on arrival at our table as we were lunching our for a friends Birthday. We will definitely visit again. Thank you
Excellent food and service - however upstairs is always very noisy - I suggest installation of acoustic cladding Always a great place to bring guests.Well done Cote staff. Brian Johnston
Another truly excellent meal. Asparagus was as good as we've had anywhere. Perfectly cooked and served with a lovely tarragon vinagrette. The roast Sea Bass was (once gain) fabulous, lovely and white, with crispy skin and not a bone to be found. Only blemish, was once again staff unfamilarity with the Saga Possibilities wine deal, (which can make for an enbarrassing/uncomfortable moment or two).
Service and welcome excellent. We enjoyed a Blood Orange Martini because we follow Côte online - delicious! I had smoked salmon (tender as always) and my husband had endive with Roquefort and walnuts, a favourite. I enjoyed swordfish from the specials menu (the best I’ve ever eaten) and my husband had the risotto vert together with a green salad. Just come and enjoy yourselves, everything we had was perfect and the staff are lovely.
Very enjoyable meal. Particularly impressed with the range of gluten free options. As a celiac I'm usually limited to just one or two choices....We'll certainly be back
We really enjoyed our evening out at Cote Brasserie especially so as my partner is Gluten and Dairy free, we was made to feel that nothing was too much trouble and catered for my partners intolerances very well. A really enjoyable night, thank you
Absolutely brilliant! Food was delicious and service was excellent. Would thoroughly recommend!!
Delicious food, great service and lovely view over the cathedral. Perfect for a birthday meal!
Usual reliable fare and good service on a busy Friday lunchtime. Great view of the cathedral and its precincts. Only drawbacks - upstairs can get very noisy and has access issues for those who find stairs a problem - especially as the loos are up on the second floor.
Steak and staff were amazing, enough said, can’t fault a single thing, loved it, my wife and I will return, I would also recommend to friends and family.
A wonderful experience with delicious food. Never disappointed. Took my friend for her first visit and it won't be her last! Thank you very much. Looking forward to my next visit.
MY FRIEND AND I ENJOYED OUR VISIT VERY MUCH. THE MAIN COURSE AND SWEET WERE VERY TASTY. CRUMBLE COULD BE ADDED TO THE SWEET MENU. NOT INCLUDING THE LOYALY DRINK IN THE LUNCH MENU WAS A BIT CHURLISH HENCE ONE STAR MISSING
Very friendly staff who were also attentive. Food was very very tasty and fresh, cooked to perfection. Good ambience and the seating plan was cosy !
Nice food but very slow service. Disappointed by lack of attentiveness.
Hadn’t found Cote until a few weeks ago. Now have been twice in as many weeks! Excellent service which wouldn’t be out of place in a 5 star Fitzrovia place. Lovely food at reasonable price. Easy to book, very welcoming.
Wonderful food , served by attentive staff and all in a timely manner .. you couldn’t ask for more !
Fabulous evening! Mid week dinner with the negroni offer. Everything was delicious. Staff were friendly and wonderfully professional. We tried the steak tartare & pissaladière to start and the poulet roti & moules frites as mains all washed down with the ever faithful lagarde rosè. Highly recommend!
Very good service. Attentative but not intrusive. Friendly and not pretentious. The food was very tasty and I'd certainly recommend eating here. Will be returning.
My wife and I are celebrating our wedding aniversary. We throughly enjoyed our excellent luchtime meal. The so called free bottle of wine was very enjoyable. The waiter couldn't have been more attentive and made the experience more pleasurable. Thank you Côte for being so professional as always.
Second visit to cote brassiere. Firstly Bristol and this evening Exeter. Again excellent food, staff, atmosphere and location. A very enjoyable birthday celebrations with friends.
A very tasty lunch in a vey attractive setting overlooking Exeter Cathedral on a brilliantly sunny February afternoon. The service was both friendly and polite and our food was delivered very promptly. As usual at Cote, we were not disappointed.
We booked online for our wedding anniversary and had a lovely lunch at the restaurant. The staff and food were excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal thank you.
Good food and helpful staff. We had a very enjoyable Mother's Day dinner and the whole family of two adults and two children left happy. Will definitely go back.
Wonderful lunch, as always. I have never had a bad experience here. Good value for money and good quality food. Quick and efficient service. Thank you very much.
Lovely Mother’s Day brunch and lunch. Great service and always a lovely view over the cathedral .. always a family favourite . We will be back again very soon .
Good food for a good price. Staff as always friendly and nothing to much trouble for them
Welcoming staff and lovely food, ate from the prestige menu which was reasonably priced for ore theatre times. Would recommend this for an early evening bite
My favourite place for lunch or dinner. I love everything about Côte, the main thing is that it seems like being in France but I believe the menus are more imaginative and varied than anything I have ever had in France. It’s always good tasty food and I enjoy the pleasant atmosphere and helpful staff. I am a very loyal fan.
We all enjoyed the food and the service was excellent.
Family brunch and couldn’t fault the food or service we received, really great value and staff were very friendly and attentive. Would definitely recommend and can’t wait to return
Lovely meal. Service was quick. Quite loud when your trying to have a conversation
Just as good as always - quality and presentation is first class and the service at Cote Exeter is excellent
Beautiful breakfast, serving size just right would definitely visit again, good choice and very friendly staff, view of the cathedral very pleasant , would highly recommend.
Had a brilliant Birthday celebration food and staff first class as usual. Thank you all at Cote
Cote, Exeter. Enjoyed the meal but restaurant was very busy and very noisy. This was on the middle floor with about 50 to 60 people in there, the top and ground floors were much quieter though fairly full. We couldn't have a reasonable conversation. We are frequent diners at Cote and usually enjoy our experience. Hope there is some way of improving the acoustics on that floor. Otherwise, food delicious as usual. Martin Hayward
Beautiful place, lovely setting, but unfortunately a bit slow, first hiccup was they brought out non alcoholic beer with we asked for the alcohol one. Then we waited ages for the starters.. then we waited ages for our main and we needed to ask where it was in the end! The food came and they brought out the wrong meal for one of us! Meant to be chicken turned out it was pork! It was a good job that we wasn’t allergic to pork! Or even religious! When we did get the food though it was nice! But after waiting so long you just don’t feel hungry as you go past it.
The Food was amazing and the service was great, I would definitely recommend to a friend and I'm definitely coming here again, thank you everyone tonight
Excellent service and food choices. Very good value for money. A little manic and noisey but good atmosphere. Had many meals in Cote across the country and you can always guarantee that the quality will always be the same where ever you go.
The service, food, presentation and ambiance excellent, as always. The complimentary April cocktail "French 75" was delicious (and very pretty). We particularly enjoyed the Char-grilled Poulet Breton and the Roast Seabass fillet. The seabass was served with tender braised fennel in a champagne beurre blanc with chives and tomato. Very good indeed. Thank you again.

We always look forward to dining at Cote; as usual we experienced good attentive service but it was the first time my main course arrived cold although my husband’s and the ‘sides’ were hot - obviously my plate had been left standing - an issue of timing I suppose
Cote never fails to deliver - excellent food, excellent service. The pork belly is my personal favourite but the whole menu is hugely tempting. Lovely location. Thank you for another great meal!
Me and my partner always enjoy coming back here and especially like the fougasse and the my partner is a big fan of the duck breast
Another lovely meal at this authentic restaurant. As before, the service was brilliant from knowledgeable and friendly waiters and the food was outstanding. Exeter is fortunate to have such a superb venue.
The staff are so lovely I need to make that clear. I did ask for a window seat a week before but that was fine. The only thing I would say is the main came out way to quickly before we had finished our starter but that’s it. Amazing we love it and will definitely go again
Execellent, once again. Attentive and friendly staff, lovely setting (a window seat to view the early evening sun on the cathedral) and very good food. The early evening set menu represents very good value and allows a perfect pre-theatre dinner.
Thank you so much for making my celebration meal so special, it really made my day. We will definately be very back soon. The food was great.
We really enjoyed the wonderful lunch we had today. Our friend who joined us thoroughly enjoyed hers too. No doubt we will visit again very soon. Highly recommended to anyone who appreciated good good and excellent service! The upstairs is rather noisy though. Nevertheless it did not bother us.too much.
