Côte Farnham

Very disappointed, took 30 mins to get a drink. Other tables after us for food and drinks before us and we were only 3. Food was exceptionally small compared to usual and we eat here a lot. The chips were in a smaller pot, I only got 5 goujons and the potato gratin was smaller than usual and we have come out hungry. We have had a few bad experiences lately and it has put us of coming to eat at cote brasserie again, we used to come once a week. Overall, not happy with the service and the drastically smaller portion sizes.

I have always liked this restaurant but I don't know what has happened the last few times in the last 4/5 months its really gone down hill. I booked a table on sunday for a 30th birthday and couldnt of been a worse experience. We ordered pastries and cooked breakfast. The cooked breakfast arrived before any drinks including any tap water. The orders were wrong and had to be sent back. We had to chase several times for the hot drinks. One orange juice arrived and was spilt over myself and the girl whos birthday it was. This is human error and I totally understand but after that they made no effort to put extra attention onto our table and make sure we have everything we needed. My food had orange juice in along with another plate. My flat white had to be sent back along with a tea cup and it took 10 mins for those to arrive. It was only after eating the hot food that we had to chase again for the juices to be brought to the table and every glass was half full. The last two experiences I have had at Cote in Farnham have been disappointing. When it came to getting the bill they say they took off the service charge because of the split drink however it was still on the bill and the final amount was wrong as we had formula breakfasts but by this point I had given up. It was disappointing this was the experience for a 30th birthday. Again Im not sure what has happened the last few months but the service from this particular branch is questionable

The food was excellent and staff were extremely accommodating when I requested a change of table to a slightly more secluded part of the restaurant. The deduction of the two glasses of champagne from our bill (due to it being our anniversary) was a lovely touch and we'll definitely be back again.

Good breakfast as always at Cote. Service a little slow. But drinks & food came fairly quickly. Food was tasty although scrambled eggs a little overcooked

We were really looking forward to our evening out to finish off a lovely bank holiday weekend, We both said we’d rather of stayed at home after our experience, Food was very poor, steak was far to chewy, very disappointed overall, I doubt very much if we will return.

Great breakfast but they all came out cold, my friend sent his back and it came out cold again and rather than an apology he was told the length of time it had been back in the oven. Real shame as everything else was good and my favourite vegetarian breakfast, just better when hot 😉

Good food on a busy night.... potatoes slightly over cooked... offered replacement when asked , but came way too late for meal... glad I’d insisted on keeping dry ones!

We had a most pleasant meal at a Friday lunchtime with super food, lovely service etc BUT It was very noisy in the main room and no other tables were available and They had no horseradish (for creamed spinach) which amazed me. However two fairly average drawbacks overall.

Customer service was outstanding and overall very good.. the food was very tasty... nothing was a problem for the staff.. would definitely come back again.. thank you

Fine but the moules broth was far too salty. However, they were taken off the bill even though I was just informing the kitchen and didn't ask for or expect any reduction so 6 stars for that.

A lovely meal the food was hot,beautifully served and delicious. The staff were attentive but not intrusive. Atmosphere was lively but relaxed. A lovely place for lunch with an old friend.

Lovely atmosphere, attentive but not over attentive staff, good choice of food and well priced. I had the normal fixed price menu which was excellent value. Main course was couscous and charred vegetables with yoghurt dressing which was delicious.

Very pleasant an enjoyable Sunday breakfast. Good service, good food and pleasant surroundings. Staff are always very helpful. It's always a nice treat to got to Farnham Cote.

Excellent, the only very minor criticism is that the 2 person tables were on the small size. I would recommend the restaurant to my friends and family.

We sat near a door so a bit chilly and noisy. Food was good but a bit slow and they forgot our side dish. My son was very hungry so was a bit upset when his chips arrived after he had eaten his main meal!

Always love it here. As it was my birthday they brought us all a complimentary kit royale. Food was lovely & staff friendly. Also love it sitting outside, when the weather is nicer. Throughly recommend.

We are regular diners, always a lovely warm welcome, good food, monthly specials, good value for money. Staff are always friendly and helpful, with a good knowledge of ingredients on the menu.

Hi there, having dined at Cote Farnham many times I thought booked here for Mother’s Day (As my parents also go there) would be a lovely idea. Unfortunately I think it might have been too busy for them in some respects. The starters were fine but then we were waiting over 35mins for our mains (our waiter has changed) and I had waited 20mins for a Diet Coke, I had to prompt a waitress to got a coke (not diet) but at this point I had given up. When the food arrived the duck and fillet ordered were lovely but the minute steak my mum had ordered (and I was sharing) was cold - the butter didn’t even melt. Mum did mention this and it was taken off the bill which was nice. I have to say I probably won’t come back for an occasion but look to visit during quiet times if I can. It’s such a shame as we don’t get together as a family much. We didn’t order desserts as we didn’t want to wait ages.

Amazing food great service pleasant atmosphere what more could you want. We have dined here on many occasions and never been let down. One of our favourite places to dine..and the breakfasts are just as good..

A very disappointing meal. My first tuna steak was over cooked, the second was flavourless. My mother’s chicken was also over cooked and dry and the vegetables were cooked to death but also cold. We both left hungry. Would not come again

The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The service and surroundings were excellent! I particularly like the fact that there was so much choice and many options on the menu! Also plenty of seating areas!

Our first visit to Cote, Farnham. An enjoyable experience - ambiance, food and the friendly waiters. I think the service charge should be 10% with the customer having the choice of increasing the percentage.

My preference is to avoid chain restaurants, but when they’re this good then why not. Three very happy diners. Great service, excellent food, good prices and a decent choice of dishes. Only positive words to say.

Very good meal and service. The inside dining room was rather noisy. Shortly after sitting down at our table, a large party arrived and sat close to us. They were celebrating some event and were clearly in celebratory mood. For us, the noise was rather overwhelming and we asked to be moved to another part of the restaurant which the staff agreed and did without any fuss. I think there may be a bit of an issue with the acoustics in the inner dining room. In all other respects everything was fine.

Cote in Farnham was up to the usual consistent and good standard.

Food good as always, ditto service. It’s just the overall high noise level that hampers conversation and detracts from what would otherwise be a first class experience.

We love having breakfast at Cote. The Formulae is a great deal and always consistent in quality. The service is excellent and everyone is always served at the same time. We'll definitely be back.

Had a lovely evening for my birthday meal with my family. Jenny served us and was wonderful all night. Food was great and everyone enjoyed the evening

Food was great, staff where very polite and professional. Only downside was the table, being close to the front door meant a constant draft as people were entering the restaurant

Generally have a good meal here, a bit disappointed today, sour dough was toasted but cold and very hard. salad nicoise portion seemed to be lacking in salad yet dripping in dressing.

Although the food was tasty and good, my fish pomentier was a very small portion in a shallow dish for £12.95. A more generous portion would have made me think its worth while coming back. We always leave a 10% tip but the 12.5% service charge was included in the bill. The service was very good bu 10% voluntary tip would have been fine. My husbands lamb rump was good and he enjoyed it and the portion was better. My fish was half the amount as my husbands meal.

Comfortable, warm, pleasant - but slightly noisy environment. Excellent food and the service which could not be faulted. All together a very pleasant experience. Well done.
