Côte Godalming

We were a party of eight and everyone really enjoyed their meal. The complimentary Kir Royale's to celebrate our birthdays were much appreciated - thank you so much.

The food was very good. Just got there in time to have the early dining menu which was perfect. The service was vigilant, although a little over zealous at times e.g. insisting we gave her empty wine glasses in the middle of the meal and during a rather deep conversation, and all very unnecessary. Caused some raised eye brows with my fellow diners. That said a very pleasant experience and we'll certainly be back

Really lovely meal attentive staff, nice atmosphere highly recommend. Wonderfull food. Nice wine not overpriced can't go wrong.Booked on line worked very well will be using again

We have been to Cote Brasserie in Godalming twice - once for lunch then again for dinner. Both times we experienced a good atmosphere, great service and excellent food.

Excellent food, good and attentive service, a lovely friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The Cote de Boeuf was cooked to perfection, good starter (charcuterie board) and dessert. The wine was good and well priced. We will be back.

Brilliant meal. Solid service. If you are a foodie. You cannot go wrong with a cote meal. The godalming location has a great atmosphere and all in all very worthwhile

Service was attentive and friendly. Great choice of food although suggestion for set menu would be to add a salad option? Goat' Cheese salad very large & good value but suggest a plate not a glass bowl to serve.. bit strange & very difficult to eat!

The atmosphere was great. Service - very attentive but the waitress had no sense of humour. The waiters who served the table from dessert onwards were really lovely. My partner and I ordered steak cooked rare; the steak seemed uncooked and unseasoned, rather than rare. Not seared or with the fat rendered, but uncooked and unpleasant. My partner also ordered an appetiser and a starter, which both arrived together and were squashed into the small serving place in front of him. He was embarrassed, as he felt rather greedy having both courses arriving together. Rather odd. All in all, not the best dining experience we've had.

The experience was very rushed, if we hadn't delayed ordering our desserts we would have been finished inside 50 minutes. Whilst nobody wants to wait a long time for service, I don't enjoy it when my starter plate is whipped away and minutes later my main course arrives. The food was acceptable but obviously mass produced.

Very enjoyable lunch, excellent service and the steak and frites very good as always. We look forward to coming back again very soon with more time to spare.

Another great night at Cote Brasserie in Godalming . great food, good atmosphere and as usual very pleasant and attentive staff. Our guests thoroughly enjoyed them selves.

Cote is one of my favorite restaurants and I eat at many different locations, however, last night in the Godalming one Ii was disappointed. The service was slow and the meal not up to usual standards - dry chicken and almost raw vegetables.

Always amazing service and food at Cote Godalming. I would just say that the Gluten Free Complet could do with 2 pieces of gluten free toast instead of the just the one as that looks measly.

Good service as always, very helpful and attentive. Sadly no Fourgasse! Always a pleasure to dine at Cote and good to introduce our Kiwi friends.

It was our wedding anniversary and we wanted a light lunch. WE had booked online. The reception was good and we were offered a choice of tables. We decided on the Lunch menu with a glass of champagne to start. My wife had the Golden Beetroot, which she said tea very good, whilst I had Breaded Calamari, which again were good. This was followed by Sea Bass fillet for my wife and Chicken Chasseur for me. Both were good. We finished with desserts again both good. A pleasant dining area, good service, and good quality price.

Too much choice of menus, table laden with them. Far too many lentils with the Tolouse sausages. Finally, my pet hate, adding service charge to the bill!!?? Goes without saying I did not leave a tip. First and last visit to a Cote Brasserie. Did not meet my expectations.

Great evening and great service and very much enjoyed. We all thought the accompanying spinach tasted a bit odd when we were there this time.

Waiting staff are very welcoming and do a very efficient job. Though it was a little odd that a senior member of staff seemed to be on a very frequent patrol round all the tables. I have not seen such zealous behaviour at this restaurant before. This could been seen as intimidating to staff and customers alike. Otherwise a very enjoyable evening

The staff are very attentive throughout our visit, will certainly visit Godalming Cote again. Food & wine ( house red ) very good as always .

Very good food and excellent service. The main course was a bit delayed to arrive but it was quite busy at the time we visited.

Delicious food, wine and pleasant ambiance. The staff were courteous and attentive. The only problem - and the reason a full score was not achieved - was that the complementary glass of champagne with our 10 year anniversary menu was delayed because there were no champagne flutes available. We had hoped to drink it before we ate any food. Instead we had to ask for it when our starter arrived, saying we would be happy to drink it out of an ordinary wine glass. Two flutes were then found in the kitchen - and they weren't warm from washing! This may be a small problem, but care needs to be taken to ensure drinks can be provided at the right time.

Consistently good service, choice of food & atmosphere. Lovely outdoor space.

The staff at Cote were all very polite, friendly and very helpful. Both the food and the service were excelent. The restuarant is nicely laid out and not overcrowded. Had the weather been better, it woud have been nice to have enjoyed our meal at one of the outside tables.

This was our second visit to Cote in Godalming. Delicious food, excellent service and a great ambience! We will definitely be returning for another meal.

Service was friendly, relaxed, efficient and slick. The quality of the food was excellent and very good value, eating off the early evening menu. Mind you the anniversary menu looked equally good value for that bit mor special evening.

The experience was dreadful I am afraid. My wife's starter arrived 20 minutes before the other three starters. My main course steak was inedible - too tough even to chew. My friends rare steak came well done. The service was slow, uncoordinated and amateurish. To be fair we were not charged for the two steaks and the replacement steak I had was very good. I am very fond of Cote - this is my first bad experience.

Good but waited a bit long btw courses. Otherwise the service was good. Not always romantic as sometimes can be next to kids and large tables of parties

Nice location in Godalming high street. The food was well cooked and tasted delicious. Would recommend the full English. It was a bit too quiet for my liking.

Great food and great attention to detail for Coeliac/Gluten-Free customers. Service was a bit slow on our last visit, only 1 or 2 waiting staff on the whole backroom of the restaurant, so we had long waits between seeing someone and being able to order, get the bill etc

Very nice interior,friendly staff,quick service,very tasty food ,reasonably prize.very kids friendly .we had little 10 month old baby boy with us ,no problems.i been there 4 th times and very happy with everything.

Very good friendly service with high quality freshly cooked food. The menu and wine list offer a very good choice to cover everything from a light bite and a glass of wine to a special occasion three course meal.
